How long for drive through test results at the moment?

We've now been waiting almost 72 hours.

Starting to wonder if they've got lost but no way to find out 🤷‍♀️

Or is this just normal now? Anyone else had a test recently and how long did it take for results?

Reading other threads on here it looks as though there is huge variation! We went to a walk in centre for tests yesterday afternoon and I'm hoping they don't take too long. I need to get back to work!

Drive through in Twickenham on Friday afternoon, test results emailed late last night.

😭 awaiting drive through results too. Saturday noon taken and seems I might be waiting much longer than anticipated.

Drive thru test done on Saturday 12.30pm and still awaiting results. Also worried that it will be inconclusive and have to go through the whole rigmarole with my 2 year old again, or self isolate us all for 14 days. But I know it has to be done.

They took 36 hours last week but I get the feeling judging by other threads here that was exceptionally quick at the moment.

72 hours almost to the minute! Negative!

There's massive variation. My DD had a test at a drive in centre on Friday morning, and results were emailed in the early hours of Saturday.

Well it's now been over 72 hours and still no results. Starting to think they've lost them. Fucking shambles.

I was tested on Sat morning and still no results well over 72 hrs later (tues). I called 119 and was advised to book another test as im a key worker and have been isolating with my family since I had symptoms. Got another later today so fingers crossed..

Did you get your results in the end?

Tested on Sunday midday, got the results Monday evening (this weekend). 32hrs. This was at a drive in test centre, SW.

actually got mine as I was typing the above. Actually about 28 hours which is very good. This is in Greater Manchester if that makes a difference.

Mine came through at 8.05am this morning. So 66 hours for me. Negative result.

I did call 119 at 7am this morning, as I started to worry i hadn't registered it correctly or put the right bits in the packet as I struggled to do it all one handed whilst holding my 2 year old.

The chap at 119 was really friendly and said he can't escalate it until 72 hours but confirmed it had been recieved by the lab. He also said test results can come through any time as they're done 24 hours.

Fingers crossed those waiting will get the results too.

2 weeks ago DS had a test and we got the results after 17hrs - was quite impressed as meant we only had to isolate for a day. Results came through at 1am so we were all able to get back to school/work that day.

We've been waiting since 6.30pm Sunday. Nothing yet so that's 49 hours so far.

26 hours. Last week.

Only about 16 hours! I’m amazed and hope we can get DS back into college today. Test 2pm yesterday afternoon, results arrived 06:30 this morning. We’re in the south east.
