How long for drive through test results at the moment?

We've now been waiting almost 72 hours.

Starting to wonder if they've got lost but no way to find out 🤷‍♀️

Or is this just normal now? Anyone else had a test recently and how long did it take for results?

We took at test at 7pm Sunday and got the results 2pm Monday. I was very impressed, it took from Thursday evening constantly checking the website to get the bloody test though 🙄

68 hours and still waiting.

My husband is self employed so we are losing money each day he is off. I rang 119 yesterday and they said that system is so overwhelmed that it’s likely our tests may have been lost, if we haven’t heard by Friday we should book another one.

Feeling really fed up.

Just got my result. Negative. Took 93 hrs. Just under 4 days.

walk in test 8:30 Monday morning
result 7;30 Tuesday morning

But we are in an area with low infection rates, and we were able to book a test within 12 hours.

This is nonsense, as you can only test in the first 5 days of symptoms, so by Friday that is more than 5 days

@steppemum I know! It’s so frustrating as they will be adding further pressure to the system with unnecessary tests because they don’t have the capacity to respond to people after their first test. It’s completely bonkers.

Just got my DDs back at +82 hours. Don’t lose hope just yet!

My DS had a test yesterday at 12:30pm and results received this morning at 9:00am - was really surprised how quick they came through.

Over 90 hours now and nothing.
