I guess it’s better than no mask!

PerspicaciaTick · 05/08/2020 22:51

Do you think the whole "don't put a plastic bag over the breathing holes in your face" thing had passed her by?

Socialdistancing · 05/08/2020 22:51

Locally there is a woman who wears a bra cup as a mask.

TaxTheRatFarms · 05/08/2020 22:51

Full or empty, op? Full or empty!! Grin

Mummypig2020 · 05/08/2020 22:54

She put the extra material (? 🤔) of the bag into her mouth too! It was so strange 😂

I saw someone with a Big Mac box on elastic for a mask the other day, it did make me laugh.

torydeathdrug · 05/08/2020 23:30

My favourite one was the woman who was wearing a couple of j-cloths knotted around her head - that was before they were compulsory too Grin Hmm

Isotope456 · 05/08/2020 23:51

I'm a big fan of the people who pull their t-shirt up over their face.

Mummypig2020 · 06/08/2020 09:41

I also saw someone the other day wearing two masks and a pair of yellow gloves.

DH saw someone with a carrier bag over his whole head. It really is coming down to survival of the fittest Grin

DidSheReallySayThat20 · 07/08/2020 01:03

our local fb shared a pic of a lady in our tesco with a cardboard box over her head with 2 perfectly round eye holes.
She's been seen in many places locally.

Hairthrowaway · 07/08/2020 01:15

The weirdest masks to me are full balaclavas (covering head/neck, full face aside from eye holes). Seen a few people in these recently going about normal life, it is a tiny bit unnerving. I’m not one of those people that are against masks, so I don’t find normal masks weird or anything, but I did double take at these!

SockYarn · 07/08/2020 07:51

The man in front of me in the queue at M&S told the lady on the door he'd forgotten his face covering so he just whipped a cardi off his toddler and used the arms to tie it round his face.

emelsie · 07/08/2020 08:03

I saw someone using a sleep eye mask .

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 07/08/2020 08:12

I saw a woman on the underground who wore a mask showing the face of her dog - sadly I didn't ask where she had it made. DS would love to wear the face of our cat to school.

Mrsjayy · 07/08/2020 08:17

I've saw a yellow duster last week. Yesterday saw a goth girl all gothed up with a web.drawn on her mask was impressed with her creativity.

Mrsjayy · 07/08/2020 08:21

I've been getting a lot of ads online for Vistaprint, offering a design your own mask service. I haven't used it so no idea of the quality, but you might be able to get something there!

Wear a mask, don't wear a mask, people do love an opportunity to judge.

That makes more sense than it first seems. Though still not much...

I've seen J cloths recommended quite a bit as a suitable non-woven fabric to use as a filter layer in fully washable masks. I guess she just took in that bit but couldn't be arsed to make the mask Grin.

Mrsjayy · 07/08/2020 08:30

Oh god hand made filters who could be arsed!

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 07/08/2020 08:37

whatsagoodusernam
Thank you - but wrong country.

But you helped me 'click' along and I found sth in my area.
Now I need a suitable cat picture.

summersolstice43 · 07/08/2020 08:38

I hope it wasn't a used dog poop bag

CompleteBarstool · 07/08/2020 08:38

I saw a lady the other day with just a tissue anchored under her glasses IYSWIM. It was just flapping around like a curtain.

The silly thing was this was in the supermarket with her husband who had a proper surgical-style disposable mask on. I did wonder why they both went in, surely just one of them wearing the proper mask could have gone in.
