@AndsLee could be a relapse? Have you increased your activity recently? Versus have you been mixing with germs?

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 11:09

I am back at work full time. My job is in a public place, but I am based in an office...

godhelpusall · 21/09/2020 13:05

That sounds like my last relapse @AndsLee

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 13:08

@Godhelpusall Really? I don't have the horrid sinking feeling. I do have a bit of sound sensitivity, like I was saying. Mild brain fog and headache. Wee bit of nausea in the morning. I keep taking my temp and I seem to be OK. I think I am just in awe a bit since I haven't really had that many relapses...

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 13:09

@godhelpusall and so late on...

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 13:10

I seem to be coping with work OK...? Relapse?

Criticallythinking · 21/09/2020 13:23

@AndsLee sounds like the start of my last relapse. Far more likely than having Covid again. Hopefully it passes quickly for you.

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 14:00

@Criticallythinking - was that quite recent? xx

emoojoo · 21/09/2020 16:03

@AndsLee that sounds like my recent relapse too - which coincided with my son catching the back to school sore throat so I put it down to my immune system going into a panic. Hope you're doing ok.

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 16:05

I bloody love you guys xxx

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 16:15

@emoojoo How long did it last? A week or so? xx

Criticallythinking · 21/09/2020 16:18

@AndsLee it started 2 weeks ago, I’m still going but I’m functioning and doing some work. Not loving it but then who does x

emoojoo · 21/09/2020 16:23

@AndsLee I had about 7-10 days of wondering if covid type symptoms were back, but they were more like a ghost of the symptoms, if that makes sense. Felt like my body was going through the motions of trying all the immune responses again while there was a sore throat bug in the house. It's Cleared a bit now, but I'm now more fatigued again and the gerd type systems have flared.

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 16:25

@CriticallyThinking @Emoojoo Interesting... We've all been quite similar with our symptoms. I feel like my stomach is "sensitive". It's not sore, just...sensitive. I am eating fine, but my usual ravenous hunger isn't there. I am, however, getting a break from the burny skin! hahaha I think I have had a mouth ulcer, and had a slight feeling of "impending sense of doom" this morning, until by fella booted my arse and told me to get into work! haha

Like I was saying, I feel a bit spacey, and mildly foggy, but nothing like before. I think I have had bouts of mild, exaggerated smell, but nothing long lasting. I am wondering if it's everything readjusting while it heals? It's odd that the nerve pain has been replaced by more neuro symptoms. I do wonder if this is simply the nerves and neuropaths all finding their way out of this...

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 16:28

@Emoojoo JINX! STOMACH! OMG!!

emoojoo · 21/09/2020 16:33

@AndsLee yes my stomach's all gone sensitive again and yes my burning skin and pins and needles subsided during this relapse too so we're very similar on that again! Hugely helpful to see thing mirrored with others as it helps try to piece things together!ConfusedThanks

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 16:47

It really is helpful. I'll go along with my immune system reacting to "something". I think himself has a cold brewing, so this could be it...

Lightsabre · 21/09/2020 16:48

Good to hear of tentative recoveries and people returning to work. I have a very tight and heavy chest and my armpits are 'fizzing' - strange sensation. Ds has a streaming cold and mild temperature- I'm terrified I'm going to get it and be back at square one. Part time at work still and am going to ask the GP to extend this as I'm so fatigued.

Received the clinical letter from my respiratory consultant with a Covid 19 diagnosis. Lungs and bloods okay so why do I feel so crap and can't take a very deep breath? Follow up appt on 8th October so hoping they'll look into other things like steroids etc.

Criticallythinking · 21/09/2020 17:05

@AndsLee I feel certain it’s immune response - my son had a horrid snotty cold and I didn’t catch it but had a relapse instead. Last two big relapses have been when he’s not well too. Immune system will not bloody quit!

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 17:10

Makes sense. I'm reassured. Thank you @Criticallythinking and @emoojoo! Xx

LetsBeSensible · 21/09/2020 17:58

Noise sensitivity was always coming and going with my cfs, rather than if I catch a cold. Smell sensitivity is aunt flo’s superpower- can identify raw or cooked onion within a football pitch sized range!
I dunno what’s happening lost all power so now just lying down watching tv. Feel like I have tonsillitis throat is killing. Suspect it’s fake though.

OP posts:
AndsLee · 21/09/2020 19:07

@LetsBeSensible Damn you fake tonsillitis!

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 19:19

@TiddleTaddleTat Can I ask what your WBC was in July please?

TiddleTaddleTat · 21/09/2020 19:41

@AndsLee it was 4.6, down from 5.6 in May

AndsLee · 21/09/2020 19:53

Hmmm...
I phoned my GP today, booked a telephone appt for next week (he's on annual leave) to talk about a CH50 test. My WBC was 9.5 in July, and so I suspect all will be well. Even so... I am curious to see the results for C3 and C4 complement cells. Especially since C4 has connections to vascular issues. Which, I think, above all else, Covid-19 is...
