Who else is going on their precovid booked holiday?

Just wondering. Most people I know hadn’t booked yet so have opted for a staycation. We (DH, dd who is 18m and me) already had a week on a Greek island booked for August and intend on going. I’m actually really excited! Apartment holiday not hotel which I understand may be a bit different. Wondering who else is as bonkers as us?!

My pre booked one was cancelled to Turkey in June.

Off to Spain in August though. I booked it first week of July. Can't wait

We’re in France right now - booked it in October last year. Having a great time and a real relief after working through the whole of lockdown.

We booked to go to the south of France in August before coronavirus was heard of. We are still going. We're renting a house in the middle of nowhere, so apart from the flights out and back, and trips to the supermarche while we're there, we probably won't encounter other people much.

We're going to Spain in August. It technically isn't a pre Covid booked holiday though, but was booked as a replacement to a holiday we booked last year and has since been cancelled.
I can't wait.

Got back from staying near Barcelona a week ago and we had a fab time. Off to Greece end of August (as long as they're still letting the Brits in!).

Hopefully off to greece at the end of September

We are still going to PILs in Cornwall, the plus side being that if it's crap weather we can come home early without losing money. Usually stay for 2 weeks, and we are leaving next Sat.

Glad to know I’m not alone !! Did anyone fly with small children? How was the flight not being able to get up etc ?

Mine was cancelled and tbh I would have had no reason to go anyway because I was supposed to be going Primavera Sound, but it's been postponed to next year. With the same line-up. I'm currently awaiting refunds for my flights.

I'm patiently waiting on the Scottish government's review of travel due tomorrow. We're booked for Tenerife in 10 days time but if we need to quarantine when we come back we'll have to cancel. 😭 I so want to go away after such a shitty year. I work in ICU and haven't had a break since March.

@jblue2018 we didn't travel with small people, but the flight was fine. 1.5 hours. Everyone very calm. Passengers getting up one at a time for the loo. I found it relaxing! It built my confidence back up for the 4 hours to Greece.

We are off to Crete in a week! Booked it in September

Dreading a 4.5 hour overnight flight with small kids with compulsory masks. But the holiday will be worth it! (Started getting the kids used to the masks already)

We are going to Italy for 10 days in August 🤞 Dreading having to wear a mask throughout the journey. Thankful that its not a longer flight 👍

We only UK, but yes will be going in just over three weeks time. Booked last October, would not have cancelled by own accord.

Most people I know are going away and I hadn't booked anything but am going to see if I can find any good deals this week. My DB lives near an airport and said just this week that the holiday flights are really picking up now.

@lifesalongsong maybe not .. but honestly I don’t know anyone who’s going away this year ! And I get the distinct impression others think we are a little bonkers going!
