There's been less than 200 confirmed cases of CV in my district borough since March...

And all the districts and boroughs surrounding mine! I'm totally shocked. I thought they'd be thousands.

How do you find out case numbers as specific as that?

LilyPond2 · 18/07/2020 18:55

Remember that at the height of the pandemic people were not tested unless they were admitted to hospital (and I think even those admitted to hospital were not always tested). Without a test a person won't show up as a confirmed case. So the actual numbers of people who have had Covid-19 in your area will almost certainly be much higher than the figures suggest.

The detail is in the Dashboard - this is Blackpool, for example. You can change the area at the top.

Ah doesnt work for me as the most i can filter it down to is Scotland

dementedpixie · 18/07/2020 19:24

21 cases in Scotland in last 24 hours

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 18/07/2020 19:55

Unfortunately can't say the same for my area, starting to think we'll be locked down forever.

MrsWho · 18/07/2020 19:58

Our area says 0 every day for last week but there was 2 in school this week

DameFanny · 18/07/2020 20:13

It's showing fewer for our area than have been recorded as needing hospitalisation - think their data must be massively lacking

BikeRunSki · 18/07/2020 20:19

Oh @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50, you’re going in the right direction though. We have had several spikes around factories in a very urban part of the borough, and the LA have put local lockdowns in place. A few miles away, but still the same borough.

myrtleWilson · 18/07/2020 20:22

On the nations page of the dashboard it includes all pillars but on the LA page it doesn't specify (as far as I can see) is it pillar 1 and 2?

Yes.
myrtleWilson · 18/07/2020 20:26

Thanks - I just went on to the MSOA map which had a data source box so was going to come back on and answer my own question!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 18/07/2020 20:28

Mine is 300. Is that since March?

PatriciaHolm · 18/07/2020 20:31

There is a total at the top, see here it is 443; that is cumulative.

The graph below shows per specimen day, and you can look at the data behind it by clicking on "data". Note the last few days will likely be incomplete.

It is sadly not just a question of counting.

Summerdays2014 · 18/07/2020 21:14

Is there a way of finding out how many people have been tested each day in each area?

Derbygerbil · 18/07/2020 23:11

The number of confirmed cases will be very different to actual cases. Even now, when there’s significant testing capacity, about one in three infections are captured... Back in March and for most of April, most weren’t - you had to be hospitalised to get tested!

Firef1y72 · 19/07/2020 08:05

15 in my local authority over the last month

Ethelfleda · 19/07/2020 08:24

340 in mine

MondeoFan · 19/07/2020 08:28

Mine shows 278 and 0 in last week

kimlo · 19/07/2020 08:32

over 1,500 in my town nearly the same again in the next closest. And those are the people who got a test.

5 deaths in my postcode.

HandsOffMyRights · 19/07/2020 08:32

1,500 for my area. But you need to also factor population in. My LA area is 280,000.

HandsOffMyRights · 19/07/2020 08:33

Snap! Maybe we're neighbours Grin

@HandsOffMyRights ooh possibly, are you in the ne?
