Is anyone planning to holiday in Spain this or next month?

just wondered whether anyone’s considering this/has already booked and planning to go?

We’re going to Mallorca. Booked it last year. Looking forward to it.

Have a week booked in Salou at the end of August. We are taking the car down. It's all fully cancellable though so if rates stop declining I am staying here.

Remember to check the current rules re masks. Many regions have already (or are just about to) introduced laws re masks being worn at all times - with some limited exceptions.

Yep we're off to our family holiday home in majorca in a few weeks.

The authorities have brought in very strict face mask rules that have to be worn everywhere but the beach but we expected it and we'll just have to put up with it.

I'm really looking forward to it and will go out there again in October too all being well.

We’re going to Mallorca. Booked it last year. Looking forward to it.

They’re just about to make face masks mandatory in all public places (not just indoors). Only exception is swimming pools.

The order comes into force soon.

We have flights booked for a weeks time but not going.

We might book a last minute trip to mainland Spain in October if everything is still going in the right direction. Will take plenty of masks with us.

Lets hope the British actually wear masks when they go there, or the Spanish will be regretting letting us in.

Yup. Flying into Malaga end of August - can't wait. Will have face masks and sanitiser. I've been cowering in the cupboard under the stairs for too long.

Well it will be a very expensive holiday if they don't. The fine for not complying is 100 euros.

We're finishing up a week staying on the coast near Barcelona. Had a lovely week, you do have to wear a mask most of the time but don't need to wear it when sitting down eating and drinking, also don't need to wear it by the pool on a sun lounger or in swimming! Or in your hotel room (obvs...) we've just complied and cracked on, weather is glorious and hotel done a great job with the hygiene.

That's great to hear @WhiteChocTwix. We have family in Majorca at the moment and they've said the mask rule (wearing outdoors) might only be for 2 weeks as there's been so much opposition to it but we'll comply whatever happens.

Just looking forward to being away from the bloody house and swimming in the sea!

So if you’re in an all inclusive in Mallorca would you need to wear a face mask in the complex? Just thinking will be either eating, drinking, pool lounging or swimming or a combination at all times....

2 weeks all inclusive in Ibiza on 6th August. Expecting some restrictions but to be honest socially distanced sunbeds and allocated beach space sounds like heaven! Along with table service! The hotel we are going to is closed so im not sure what they plan to do with us! Spoke to the travel agent yesterday who said we're still staying there but I expect they are still working through their cancellations and haven't got to us yet.

Either way we will still be going somewhere as luckily we are in a position to rebook if necessary.

Going to book to go to Lanzarote in a fortnight all being well. Really hoping we can go, but want to wait till the last minute to be certain all is fine.

Yes we've been booked to go to lanzarote on 9th August since last October. Our flight times have changed slightly, but no cancellation so far... we are just planning on making the best of it. Have never needed a holiday so much in my life!
