I am setting them a challenge. Come the next heatwave come and stand in our local branch of Boots for a few hours with one on.

Maybe more high profile figures should be saying this and wearing them.

Well if they did, it would certainly tell me which Slebs I want to avoid. That's handy, fair enough.

Where I live we have to wear them whenever we are out in public. Personally think it's how it should be.
I agree with Mr Hanks.

I wear a mask and disposable gloves when I leave the house. If I didn't, I would be more likely to follow the advice of the Chief Medical Officer than an actor, famous or otherwise who has zero medical knowledge.

Gloves are pointless unless you change them after each time you touch something. Otherwise you’re just cross contaminating with the outside surface of the gloves instead of your hands. I keep seeing people shopping with gloves on, their mobile phone in one hand, car keys in the other Absolutely pointless.

I disagree. I think that America is really in the shit right now and mask wearing should be encouraged to slow the spread. Tom Hanks has a large audience and maybe feels like an authority on the subject as he famously contracted the virus early on.

Many of the celebs I've seen who have made the comments are loving in areas where you are supposed to be wearing them if in public, but where some aren't doing so.

Our rules are different to a lot of other countries in that masks aren't mandatory when it and about.

Good for him. I hope more celebs follow.

To be fair if I lived in America I would be more likely to listen to Tom Hanks than I would Trump.
