I will download the app when it is live. Other countries have introduced similar apps. New Zealand have their own version. Germany are going with google version (so i read).
I am interested in how it works.
I may delete the app after a year or so, anyway

For the App refusers, If you test positive and phoned by one of the call centres doing analogue tracking will you refuse to tell them where you have been and who you have been with?

@purplewithred
If I were to test positive or lived with someone who had I would happily give that information as there would be a valid reason for them to have 5-10 days worth of my movements and contacts.

What I am not prepared to do is allow the government and Cummings/dodgy cronies to track me for months/years store and use that data which they have already been forced to admit that not only can they link names/addresses and phone numbers to but also medical data, to but they intend to use for "other uses" (BBC article online can't do clicky links). Oh yes it also logs my location.

I have had a stalker before. I do not need or want another especially when that other would be my government.

I'm be waiting to find out how the app works in practise and until it's been well scrutinised by those who know more about security and data.
I imagine that people might opt in to Google's version as an alternative.

Of course not, contact tracing is going to be extremely important. WHO said last night that even in Singapore and South Korea the majority of contact tracing needed to be done by humans. This should start at the right time but if not, go to 23:21.
