I live in a small village in a quiet farming area. One of the old cottages was bought by a family from London about 18 months ago, they spent a long time getting planning permission but have now started works.

They are coming down and meeting mates there every weekend. Yesterday I walked past (footpath runs alongside house) and there were two massive flashy Landrovers not really relevant cars outside and three blokes, at least two women and four kids all hanging out in the big garden. The house is currently uninhabitable so they aren't staying there permanently.

Dh says just forget about it but its really annoying me! Our village is generally really old and we've had no cases of cv so far.

It's not OK to drive 3 hours from London to a village then meet mates is it??

How can you think that because I said DD2 was particularly affected that DD1 wasn’t? Needmoresleep? I do wonder what you get out of trolling me? It’s tiresome. DD2 has reasons to be very affected by this and I’m not sharing those on this forum but because her needs are greater I really don’t see how you think DD1 is sailing through this? Of course I understand people in flats in London are struggling. My DDs do live in flats in London - a mere stroll from you!!!

If you read my post I described the “entitled” in my village. The “entitled” live everywhere! It’s not confined to London or the SE commuter belts. As if!

We are in the same boat - in central London.

Homes mysteriously being empty for most of the time then up pops the family that most have been hiding in the basement for the last 8 weeks decide to have a rooted terrace party. Bloody air b&b. And we are still seeing tourists rocking up with suitcases and maps.

I agree Bubbles that the entitled are everywhere - we also have an entitled few in our rural area, who are meeting up, allowing their teens to meet up, and hogging the few supermarket delivery slots when they could easily get to the shops, depriving others who can't get to the shops of them.

Exactly the same as here then Ginny. The one that got me was the Professor Doctor having his medic DCs home for Easter! They are all doctors and they don’t live here!
