I can’t see this in recent threads

So reopening some schools is on the agenda?

I wonder if all the teachers on here refusing to go back in are expecting to be paid during this abstinence.

We are being paid because we are WORKING. Including all day today, for example. Posts like this make me wonder why we bother.

hoxton
No school has had any permission/indication of opening on nine 1st and wont be allowed unless decided by the government. Schools are open for keyworkers kids at the moment.

I really, really hope my y7 and y9 get to go back for at least some time before the summer holidays. Especially my y7.
althoough if dh (teacher) ends up having to be in school more for other year groups (which would be good) then I may have to send my y7 anyway as I dont think he'd cope all day on his own for weeks on end (I'm a keyworker NHS clinician so in work every day)

Hoxton, I'm SLT in a primary school, we've been told nothing officially by the DfE. The only thing we have been told was that gave us any sort of info, is that our IT provider has been told to prepare schools in our LA (and two neighbouring LAs) to use MS Teams for teaching online. The IT project is due to be completed for 1st June. We were told that 11 days ago. That made us start wondering about 1st June, but this is just a guess based on tiny bits of info.

I agree with Hadenoughfornow

How can schools be safe when it’s not even safe to play outdoors on play equipment, or outdoors at the skatepark? Surely the ban on those sort of things would be lifted first

PFrench- so kids will go back to be taught online?

My SEN kid won’t be able to learn like that on mass at school. She needs human help.

If it’s going to be like that she’ll have to stay at home where she’s learning better.
