Whilst obviously delighted that mother and baby are doing well I fear the distraction on our PM when he should be 1000% on top of this crisis.

So you genuinely think the fewer humans there are on Earth, the better? I take it you won’t be complaining about the coronavirus then, not wishing to be a hypocrite and all?

MaxNormal · 29/04/2020 11:43

Does anyone sane NOT think there should be considerably less? I'd like to achieve this by lowering birth rate not killing people already in existence, I'm not a psychopath.
I certainly don't think anyone needs six (or is it seven) children.

SallyWD · 29/04/2020 11:46

Really? He has 6 or more other kids. I don't get the feeling he's the most attentive, doting father so I'm not expecting him to become too distracted.

In this topic, wondering about the effect on national leadership during the pandemic (in a week which he began by stressing how very much the nation was still in the danger zone) is reasonable.

He’s not going to be at PMQ today. But I think he might be unwise to take more than a couple of days now. He could have some weeks of shared parental leave further down the line

vera99 · 29/04/2020 12:05

The rumours on the webs are the boy will be called Thomas after the hospital. Smile

It's not fawning over our PM but just commenting on a woman having a baby.
The side issues of its dad being able to keep on top of this current crisis is a separate matter really. People need answers and clarity and the other week they all seemed to be waiting for him to tell them what's going on. If he goes on paternity leave then we need a deputy to tell us the next steps and tske action!

CendrillonSings · 29/04/2020 12:18

The rumours on the webs are the boy will be called Thomas after the hospital.

Now that would genuinely be a very nice gesture.

YogaLite · 29/04/2020 12:25

Is it just me who doesn't quite believe the baby was premature? The original announcement was vague enough ..

vera99 · 29/04/2020 12:29

For those who like their tittle-tattle from a well knows lefty rag the Daily Mail - fill your thigh length boots with this...

No, I have had much the same thought.

RainMustFall · 29/04/2020 13:36

So predictable, usual scummy comments.

Congratulations to Boris, Connie and the baby. Keep up the good work.

Catsingangs · 29/04/2020 13:45

Keep up the good work.

Multiple children, some illegitimate, some he denies, with multiple partners.
Keep up the good work indeed. Such a fine example to us all.

YogaLite · 29/04/2020 13:50

Trend setter?

Kortnee · 29/04/2020 13:56

Congratulations to Boris, Connie and the baby.

You can't even get Carrie's name right.

BlueBrian · 29/04/2020 13:58

Will this one still be talking to Boris in a few years time? Most of his other children don't, well that's the one who know he's their father anyway.

vera99 · 29/04/2020 14:24

Marina suffering from cancer won't be having a good day, but I'm sure that won't worry Boris moving ever forwards with the flames of his life in the barely glimpsed rearview mirror. Trouble is he is the nominated driver and we're all in the same car.

OP posts:
RainMustFall · 29/04/2020 14:38

Shoot me Carrie, not Connie of course. Don't let that stop the scummy comments. I don't know what you're going to do when the Tories win the next election - probably explode Grin

vera99 · 29/04/2020 14:42

Anyway moving on I would have called the boy Elton as in Elton John-Son or maybe even Eton Johnson ...I'll get my coat ....

Kortnee · 29/04/2020 15:42

Don't know what your going to do when you realise someone can vote Tory and still think they've handled this crisis appallingly - probably explode.

Millicent10 · 29/04/2020 16:07

It will be interesting to see if this baby has any immunity to coronavirus, both parents had the virus in the few weeks before we he was born. Wonder what he will be called?

Alsohuman · 29/04/2020 16:25

There’s an awfully long way to go before that’s even a possibility. It’s probably the most bonkers statement I’ve seen here today. And it’s had plenty of competition.

Didkdt · 29/04/2020 16:47

@Alsohuman did you say the same about the last election and Brexit and the referendum and.....

CendrillonSings · 29/04/2020 16:55

You guessed it! Grin

Alsohuman · 29/04/2020 16:55

I’m not in the habit of prophesying, not owning a crystal ball.

CendrillonSings · 29/04/2020 16:57

I’m not in the habit of prophesying, not owning a crystal ball.

Well, your predictions that Labour under Corbyn had the slightest chance against Boris were comically wrong, so that’s probably a good thing! Smile
