Would a wee in the woods spread the virus?

I can't hold my bladder for very long but really enjoy my daily walks. I often walk in woods with hardly any other people around. Would it spread the virus (if I had it and didn't know), if I was to do a quick wee whilst out walking in the woods?

Probably only if someone came and then rubber their face in it Confused

Weedsnseeds1 · 23/04/2020 18:17

No, it's not spread via urine.

NetballHoop · 23/04/2020 18:22

Wee to your bladders content. It's not going to infect anyone.

Porcelainskin · 23/04/2020 18:36

It's respiratory, which means it spread via droplets coming from the lungs. So, no, wee won't spread it.

OhLook · 23/04/2020 18:37

There has been talk of it spreading through feces though.

WitsEnding · 23/04/2020 18:38

Sympathies. I've just taken delivery of a Shewee.

I waited patiently today for a man and his son to pass me on their bikes. They got a little in front then both jumped off for a tree wee. I had to stand back again and wait for them to finish, having cut my walk short and started to head home because was rather desperate for a wee by this point.

If you can't beat them, join them. I've ordered a she wee. I wonder if their sales are increasing as a result of all the toilets being closed.

Someone asked on another post what the tipping point is,

We appear to have found it. FFS

@TJH130

😂 😂 😂

Shitsgettingcrazy · 23/04/2020 18:58

What if you lean on a tree while you are doing it?

I suppose the need for privacy ensures that you are at least 2 m away from others?

Redpurplegreen · 23/04/2020 19:26

I work in a microbiology lab. Yes it’s spread via urine. We aren’t testing any in the usual way and are culturing them in a safety cabinet. PHE guidance.

HappyHammy · 23/04/2020 19:32

If it apparently originated from animals then does that nean its in all bodily fluids and not just respiratory

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 23/04/2020 19:32

And this, foragers, is why you should wash your wild garlic Grin

Oh jeese

rookiemere · 23/04/2020 19:33

Sympathies - this always happens to me on my walk. Unfortunately the route is now so busy I can't nip behind the trees. I have a she wee bought for camping- never got the hang of it.

Maxandezra · 23/04/2020 19:34

I think it would all depend on whether you had brought a packet of crisps with you as well, and of course what flavour they were.

LilacTree1 · 23/04/2020 19:34

Smile “ Well if no one saw a wee in a forest did it really happen?”

😂

Yes it does spread it AFAIK

But humans existing spreads it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

HappyHammy · 23/04/2020 19:37

I cant see anything online about it being in urine. Anyone able to link scientific evidence.

vera99 · 23/04/2020 19:37

If you go down into the woods today...watch out for the wee.

Shitsgettingcrazy · 23/04/2020 19:54

Maxandezra

So if you lean on a tree and have a packet of walkers ready salted?

Asking for a friend. Grin

loobyloo1234 · 23/04/2020 19:54

I think you’re safe. But only as long as you don’t sit on a bench and eat crisps aswell? Grin
