Vapers - how are we feeling at the mo?

How I’d love to give it up but the more I try the more I want to vape and it keeps me off smoking
I’ve been vaping for about seven years and have felt much better for it.
However I’m now really scared about the impact vaping has on coronavirus.

I feel the same, I tell myself every night I’ll stop but every morning I’m back on it. I am worried

I haven’t found any studies in it yet, just a lot of speculation. I suppose it’s too early to know.

I don’t think we know enough about vaping yet at all so it’s impossible to know it’s effects with this. I’m presuming it’s a lot better than being a smoker but not ideal

I used to smoke but I'm now off them completely for two years. I had a bad time giving them up and I got sick.

I gave up using cigarettes using the vaping. It's been a huge success for me and I'm so happy.

I was on 3mg nicotine juice for over a year. I was on higher nicotine before that. This virus was getting serious for us in February and I used the opportunity to drop the nicotine strength down to 0. I tried 0mg juice before but I couldn't stay at it. I'm happily vaping 0mg juice now. Also I have reduced my vaping sessions to about 2 or 3 times a day. I decided I'm not going to vape again in public while this virus is going around. Just in case I get infected and I don't know about it and I blow contaminated vape/clouds about the place.

I think if I was to get sick, I would be able to put to vape away and live comfortably without it if I get ill.

That’s impressive getting it down to 2-3 times a day. I don’t vape all day but it’s probably about 7 times a day that I do and each for a few minutes. And I’m on 16mg nicotine! Not good it’s it.

I had it in my mind for a long time to drop to 0 strength nicotine. The virus pushed me in that direction and I suppose it went hand in hand, life without nicotine led to reduced vaping sessions.

I’m on 6mg down from 12 but I vape all day, I would love to drop strength but I haven’t liked any other flavour than my usual and the lowest is 6

Imagine if we still smoked though. How bad would THAT be?

I'm concerned about the effects on lung health, particularly as I had no cough after quitting a 20 year habit! Is the tar still down there?

Same as you OP, vaped for 7 years now, on 6mg, to be honest I’m not as concerned as I would be if I was a cigarette smoker, I tried to stop vaping but never last long as I always did enjoy a cigarette

I have been vaping. Not for long but better than smoking. I think I read that it is 95% better for you than smoking. I am on 18mg at the moment as early days but I have 10mg for when the 18 runs out and I have ordered some 6mg. I will get to 0 but I know it will take a while but I figure each time I vape it is better than having a cigarette.

I've dropped down from 18mg to 6. Will move down to 3mg on my next order with the view to getting off it totally. I'm glad it's kind of given me the push to do it as I would have seen me just vaping instead of smoking.

I'm on 18mg a day and have been since I gave up 15 months ago. I am so thankful I gave up then. I'm a chain vaper too - but without the cough of chain smoking (was on 30)

Weirdly this situation has made me think about smoking again and I have experienced more cigarette cravings!

It's the Nicotine which is addictive although not harmful in itself
The VG is glycerine and the PG propylene glycol. I think the ones who have problems( and have died) were vaping THC( cannabis high!) and others vulnerable to allergies but i guess there is some risk with inhaling the aerosol produced
Can you tell I like to do my research?

I even read a study that said PG can be protective!
I take everything I read with a pinch of salt though.
So if nicotine isn’t harmful in itself, why try to lower the amount? Is it in order to get off the vapes?

Yes the idea is that you reduce the nicotine down gradually if you aim to quit vaping
Personally I have no aim to quit, as I'm so pleased to be free of cigarettes but am trying to use it less

FascinatingCarrot I too have had random cigarette cravings lately. The first from stopping smoking in the New Year. I don't think its dropping the nicotine levels as they started before I did but the stress of this all. I suffer a lot from anxiety. Smoking would be a nightmare right now though so I suck it up.

Shame I just bought about 10 of my usual juices at 16mg I think I might try to reduce the nicotine too now then wean off these vapes

I keep thinking although much better than smoking it can’t be good for my lungs to be inhaling anything that isn’t meant to be there. I have such rubbish willpower and a very addictive personality.

Another one here been vaping at least 7 years. 10mg. I vape a LOT more than I ever smoked. I don't plan on giving it up any time soon...

Can I ask where you buy them from. It's all new to me but I would like to try and give up the fags but don't want to buy a crap vape

Got got a Joyetech exceed x from the Joyetech website.

I've been vaping for about six years. Got all my set up from my local trusted vape shop. Some juice (manabush) I get online but usually from the shop so I can try it first.
