My understanding is that the "Big Four" positions in government are PM, Chancellor, Foreign Secretary and Home Secretary. So why isn't Pritti Patel appearing at any if the press conferences or being involved in the Covid meetings? Surely as the person with responsibility for national security etc she ought to be putting in an appearance? Instead there are people like Gove making statements. Why?

She cant bring herself to be seen praising them because in a few months she will be back on her bench telling us they are waster scum again

"Where is Priti Patel?" has been all over social media for the last few days. Not necessarily this thread, but I have no doubt social media pressure is the reason for her appearance. She was asked the question during the press conference. Answer: been busy

That was like listening to a business conference with the one person who tries to sound important.
There was no feeling or anything natural about the way she spoke. It was robotic.
So beside all the other reasons that's why she hasn't been asked to speak before.

God she was awful. I zoned out after a few minutes. Sounded like a bossy school teacher lecturing her pupils. No emotion what so ever.
Don’t think we will see her again (hopefully).
