It’s not too bad this isolation situation if you ask me!

I’m day 4 of 7 days.
I’ve not got all symptoms just a dry cough.

It’s lovely, I’m cleaning, baking, cooking lovely meals in my slow cooker, doing maths, English, reading and writing my little fella.
Gardening, getting jobs done that I’ve been meaning to get done for ages.
I’m kind of waiting to get ill, I’ve been swabbed today but I really don’t think I’ve got Rona, think I’m just really run down from work.
The extreme guilt feelings that I have been feeling for the last 6 weeks have lifted.
I think it will end in a couple of days when I’m negative and have to go back to work.

A bit of down time is just what I’ve needed.

How’s isolation for you?

You’ve been swabbed while well enough to be gardening?!

Orchidflower1 · 06/04/2020 18:13

🍰 you get a whole slice not just a Biscuit

FirTree31 · 06/04/2020 18:14

Sorry for being ignorant, or misinformed, but why have you been given a test when you don't feel very unwell, I understand you're not 100%, but I assumed you had to be really quite ill to get tested?

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/04/2020 18:15

Are you pretending to be someone and expect it come across as funny?

PrivateEye · 06/04/2020 18:15

Bollocks have you been swabbed.

Fatted · 06/04/2020 18:16

You enjoy that OP.

I assume you actually receive some kind of sick pay?!

foamrolling · 06/04/2020 18:17

She could be working for the NHS. I understand they're finally testing hcps. Either that or she's a member of the royal family.

iCorona · 06/04/2020 18:19

Has to be a joke/fake post, very poor taste though.

Crafting1Queen · 06/04/2020 18:33
Biscuit

People are isolated in flats with no outdoor space, struggling financially and/or unable to get food.

Read the room OP.

Mlou32 · 06/04/2020 18:41

I'm kind of the same, I don't find it too bad! Apart from going to work (as a keyworker) I'm catching up on netflix, baking, spending quality time with my partner. And out for a walk if I fancy it, as per government guidelines. Not that different from my usual life! There are aspects that I miss ie going out for a coffee/lunch etc but....it's not too bad! I appreciate not everyone will feel the same though.

Shehz21 · 06/04/2020 18:47

Oh ffs Biscuit

elQuintoConyo · 06/04/2020 18:47

Is that you Kim Kardashian?

EasterBuns · 06/04/2020 18:57

Some things about that op don’t add up unless not uk as only hospitalised patients are being swabbed. Having said that I am feeling very lucky at the moment and think it is ok to acknowledge this. So I live in a decent house, bit of garden space, quiet roads to walk on and with enough family to have plenty of company. We also all get on most of the time. I’m also have more time to cook from scratch and exercise.
Is it not worth Counting our blessings if we are not suffering a hugely negative effect.

Confusedasusual78 · 06/04/2020 19:08

It wouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t for the constant anxiety and fear about my family, parents, loved ones getting ill and possibly dying and the sadness of all those people around the world. Or for the financial strain and worries for the future for us and so many others.
Aside from that, it’s great baking a cake.

crosser62 · 06/04/2020 19:16

Oh wow, didn’t expect that arse kicking!

I’m a critical care sister and I’ve been the centre of all of this for 7 weeks now.
60 hour weeks, 15 hour days, not seen my kids for days on end.

I’m absolutely knackered.
So I’m just saying, I’m enjoying the down time.
Waiting to either get ill..very ill, or to get back to work in 2 days.

But get why you are all furious, I should have shared a bit more about why I’m enjoying my home and kids.

Flowers I hope you feel better soon OP. I think people are a little tense on here right now.

LoveFameTragedy · 06/04/2020 19:22

I hope your cough resolved itself soon OP. Enjoy your time at home. It sounds like your positive attitude is helping you make the most of it!

crosser62 · 06/04/2020 19:26

Lacking in nothing Em, especially not empathy.

crosser62 · 06/04/2020 19:30

If you had walked the journey with me over the last 7 weeks, you would not be as scathing and would get the reason for my only positive aspect of this whole shit storm.

There is no positive.
Except this short period of normal for me.
