I've had this email now... it's not going to be reflected by anything on the site, is it?

"We have been working extraordinarily hard to serve our customers and we are proud that, with our tremendous frontline colleagues, we delivered more food last week than we have ever delivered to UK homes before.
However, we know that many of you are not getting as much access to our delivery slots as you would like. We also know from your feedback that we haven’t done a good enough job yet of explaining what we are doing to help. We are sorry, and we know how frustrating it must be to not be able to find slots as easily as before. Trust us, it isn’t because we don’t want to be delivering more.
We’re hoping, once you’ve read this email, that you’ll have a much clearer picture of how and when to book delivery slots.
Booking your deliveries:
We consider you one of our most loyal customers, so we’re offering you the chance to have one delivery every 7 days.
Obviously, if you don’t really need a delivery that often, there’s no need to book every time. It will give us the chance to offer more slots to other customers who need them.
As there will need to be a gap of 7 days between deliveries, you won’t be able to see available slots 6 days either side of any slots you have booked. However, we will let you see slot availability two to three weeks ahead of time – so it’s easier to plan in advance.
If you are placing an order and you know someone locally who can’t get to the shops, consider adding a few items for them to your order.
When you do book a slot, we ask you to place an order and check out everything you need in one go. The cut-off time for editing orders is now 48 hours before delivery, but given the current circumstances we may need to bring forward the cut-off time.
At busy times, you may still have to queue so we can keep the website running smoothly.
These are quite big changes so please bear with us while we iron out any kinks and get all our customers into a new rhythm with their shopping. This should hopefully improve your shopping experience going forward.
We will also be giving other special categories of customers access to delivery slots.
If you have any questions, hopefully our dedicated FAQ page can give you any more information you need.
Finally, these are unprecedented times, and we really do appreciate your continued patience and understanding."

I've shopped with them for years and spend about £100/wk but only have a midweek pass. I didn't get the "most loyal customer" email, I'm allowed to see slots up to 4 days ahead if there's anything left after the "most loyal" people have booked their deliveries.

What annoys me infinitely more is that my mum, who is also an Ocado customer, gets nothing at all, despite having notified them she is vulnerable (albeit not the shielding group). I wouldn't mind being deprioritised, I don't imagine anyone would, if they were genuinely helping the "vulnerable" first. But on our family's experience, they're simply following the money.

If I could get any slots I would give them to my mum, but I doubt I will given that I'm only being allowed to see 4 days ahead.

CaptainBrickbeard · 04/04/2020 20:46

I haven’t had one of those emails at all despite being a Smartpass customer who quite frankly spends a fucking fortune with them. I am definitely not happy to keep paying ten pounds a month if I get no deliveries for it!

mimbleandlittlemy · 04/04/2020 20:56

I am in west London so I don’t think it is anything to do with it being a busy area or not, ElfDragon. It is always heaving with Ocado vans round here and as I said, we are on 7 days according to our email. Have had anytime Smart Pass since it was introduced and spend a lot but we are also near a big Ocado distribution centre which might be more to the point? I don’t know.

Ooh, excited, off to click the calendar.....

PeacockPies · 04/04/2020 21:04

Mine says every 14 days. I've had my smart pass for about five years.

I got an order this morning that I made three weeks ago that was absolutely riddled with substitutions. It was practically useless and now I have to wait two weeks!

My pass is up in April and I'm definitely cancelling it. I'll remove my cards .

Windowboxgardener · 04/04/2020 21:14

Have been a regular customer (once a fortnight for 11 years) and I’ve had no email at all, so clearly am not “valued”. Had my last Ocado Reserved delivery this week and I guess that’s it.

I see a lot of people want Ocado deliveries right now but this will come back to haunt them.

goingoverground · 04/04/2020 21:17

My experience too. DM 80, who is in the shielding group, has got nothing. Even worse, she just logged on, it was showing an available slot tomorrow (which their site says they will release at 9pm not non-priority customers) but the site throws her out and says she is not "priority". So hard luck. Yet they've spent the past week telling the media that they are prioritising the elderly and vulnerable.

RogueV · 04/04/2020 21:18

Oh wow

I got an email to say every 10 days. I usually have an Ocado delivery every week.

I can’t seem to get an order a lot, but then I’ve just had a large delivery today and it says 9 either side so will try again tomorrow...

I got the same message and no luck when logging on either Angry

I have asked to cancel and they have not replied - surprise, surprise 🙄

PragmaticWench · 05/04/2020 17:02

I have an Anytime pass and once into the site, the calendar is the same as yours OP. Nothing available.

chickedeee · 05/04/2020 17:05

I have tried to cancel my card and it will not let me ☹️

WinterCat · 05/04/2020 17:13

I think Ocado have been terrible during this. Other supermarkets have shown themselves to be far better organised and reliable.

The two deliveries I have had since the start of last month have been missing items that the receipt says are there, items broken and then various other items ordered but not available on the day with no substitution available either. I’ve been trying to get hold of them for a month with no success.

Their system for booking can’t cope, they can’t cope and they have no plans other than turning people away to try to get through this. Luckily Sainsbury’s is much better for their vulnerable/ high risk customers.

thereisfreedomwithin · 05/04/2020 17:45

I had managed to get deliveries for Thursday and the for the 20th. Maybe this is confusing the system?

O M G just got one and placed an order for delivery TOMORROW,
I’m in shock

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 05/04/2020 20:30

I'm pretty fucking annoyed with them. Been shopping with them weekly for 9 months with a smart pass and apparently that's not loyal enough.

Motorina · 05/04/2020 20:35

Anytime pass. They're offering me a delivery every 14 days, but no slots are available and haven't been for weeks. Not impressed.

OhhhPeee · 05/04/2020 20:38

I have a discounted £2.99/month anytime smart pass and spend about £150 a week. My Ocado Reserved slots have vanished, the last one that actually stayed on my bookings was four weeks ago. I’ve had the one slot every 7 days email and the queue on the homepage has gone but there are no slots. I look several times a day. My email says to look on Wednesday so I guess I’ll be battling it out with a few of you then...

thereisfreedomwithin · 05/04/2020 20:41

Crikey cat! No change here....

camelfinger · 05/04/2020 20:47

I don’t have a delivery pass but have spent a lot with them for years. Pretty much most weeks, sometimes more than once per week. I can see delivery slots available every day from Thursday for the next 2 weeks. The email said I could have one delivery per week which would be more than enough, especially if the products turned up. I’m quite surprised as there’s been nothing for the last 3 weeks.

bluebell34567 · 05/04/2020 21:27

supercatlady you are so lucky.

DirtyTicket · 06/04/2020 07:33

I'm a Smartpass Anytime holder too. The email I received on Saturday advised that from Monday (today) onwards I could book a slot every 7 days. I've been on today and there's nothing available at all - even when clicking on the calendar. Did any of you get a text or email from Ocado when slots are released to your randomised group or did you just keep checking online?

BBBear · 06/04/2020 07:51

I got the same as you DirtyTicket but there are no slots available. I have got a delivery booked for 20 April but that should still let me have a delivery next weekend ie within the 7-day time frame.

I’ve been a reserved customer for years. I wouldn’t mind if I know the slots are going to the vulnerable, but there’s no way of knowing!

mimbleandlittlemy · 07/04/2020 08:00

I couldn’t see slots while I had a delivery booked which I did last weekend. As soon as the delivery came I could see slots from a week on from my delivery for a week - ie my delivery was on 4th so I could see from 11th onwards for 7 days.

thereisfreedomwithin · 08/04/2020 17:47

Ah, update!

As others have said, if you have deliveries booked then the window 7 days either side remains blank.

So we've now got one booked for 27th (the next slot after 20th).
So some semblance of order....
