Early in the morning when there's not so many about

bigchris · 31/03/2020 17:11

Joggers and dog walkers that is , both look on you with suspicion if you are walking alone with no pet I find

TowerRingInferno · 31/03/2020 17:12

Mid-late afternoon, as something to look forward to.

YellowCorvette · 31/03/2020 17:12

I was going out for my walk or run between 7-8am but it seemed everyone else had the same idea! I go between 9-10am now.

I live in a built up area in a busy town, it's a nightmare with dog walkers, other runners, families out with kids on bikes, cyclists etc.

Usually I drive 10 mins to an area that's much more isolated but feel it's not 'essential' to drive there so I haven't, but I definitely come into contact with more people now, even as much as I try to socially distance, some people just don't care/don't move over.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 31/03/2020 17:14

6am - 5 k run 4 times a week.

JemimaPuddleCat · 31/03/2020 17:15

This is our first day since 14 day isolation and we're going to take the dog out for a walk after tea.

ErrolTheDragon · 31/03/2020 17:16

It varies. We look at the weather forecast to decide when to walk. If we don't get out, or want to do more, then it tends to be before dinner - rower in the garage.

FountainGate · 31/03/2020 17:17

Between 8am and 9am doing a couple of miles. Better than doing nothing and more than we were doing before.

Nuffaluff · 31/03/2020 17:22

About 6.30 am - run or walk alternating.

Randomschoolworker19 · 31/03/2020 17:25

I don't.

I'm either at work or shopping for food and other than that I'm at home.

Womenwotlunch · 31/03/2020 17:26

I do my DVDs at 6am before the kids wake up

NuffSaidSam · 31/03/2020 17:27

Around 3:30pm, after 'school'.

Something to look forward to

OpticVA · 31/03/2020 17:29

After DD wakes up from her nap about 2pm, something to look forward to and breaks the day up a bit. We take the dog for a walk.

thenightsky · 31/03/2020 17:29

Between 11am and 12 noon and never see a soul apart from maybe a dog walker far in the distance. Walk two days in row, then run on the third. Don't bother if its raining.

RedskyAtnight · 31/03/2020 17:32

Evening around 6/7 to wind down after the day.

TrudysTerribleFringe · 31/03/2020 17:44

2pm after work and lunch, before DS does his school work, I find burning off the energy him concentrate. He is very reluctant.

Siameasy · 31/03/2020 17:46

Morning for my run. If I don’t go then I won’t get motivated. Weather normally better then
DD’s 1hr walk before lunch which leads us nicely to lunch time and stops her asking for food.

twinnywinny14 · 31/03/2020 17:47

Mid afternoon

tulippa · 31/03/2020 17:49

7.30 am for a run. No-one about and barely any traffic - bliss - it's one of the positives I'm taking from this experience.

4.30 pm after I've finished what I need to do for working from home if I'm going on the static bike/ doing kettle bell stuff.

LizzieMacQueen · 31/03/2020 17:51

Early evening, maybe a bit later as clocks have changed. I like to feel the benefit of returning to a cosy house; then I can relax, with wine, knowing I've earned that little treat.

CMOTDibbler · 31/03/2020 18:03

5 ish. Today ds walked with the dogs while I ran as it was drills day for me and neither ds or dogs like it. DH cycled. Tomorrow dh will take ds cycling, and I'll jog with the dogs.

WatchingFromTheWings · 31/03/2020 18:07

We start with PE with Joe Wicks at 9am, then out for a run. I'm used to being at the gym for 6:30am but I'm enjoying the lie in's at the moment!

Ledkr · 31/03/2020 18:09

Joe wicks at 9 every morning then a dog walk in the afternoon. Trying to get out in the sun when it's shining to get our vitamin d. We are lucky and live opposite a large park and also some lovely hills and woods.

FlamingoAndJohn · 31/03/2020 18:13

Before this I used to run at 6.30. Now I go at about 7 -7.30.

Karmatime · 31/03/2020 18:20

I was running at 6am, slightly later since the clocks went forward to wait for daylight. It’s quiet, I see the same one guy every day, we cross the road to avoid each other but with a thumbs up.
Then yoga around 530pm before my gin & tonic.
