Going to the supermarket tomorrow! What shall I buy?

Very excited about a trip to the supermarket tomorrow... this is what life has become so grabbing excitement and joy where I can. I only plan to go once a week if that but does anybody have any suggestions on things to buy that are a bit extravagant/things you wouldn’t usually eat or drink? I try to eat fairly sensibly but really fancy treating myself one evening this week with a film and some treats once my DC are in bed.

I've never had baked camembert ninkanink! Thanks for the lunch idea! What accompaniments go with it?

Deux sharp stones Grin even worse on emaciated bony knees

She wrote ONE post, are you really going to moan about it on and on? Seems like you should really relax

Hahhaha I posted once. Then replied to you.

The only person who is moaning on, is you.

Maybe take your own advice

It's all about the treats right now...

Ambrosia tinned rice pudding in our household. And orange club bars. Yum.

Think I might get a trifle in the shop this week.

@custodiandiscount baked Camembert is amazing! (Kicking myself for not including it in the cheeses I bought now!) I recommend scoring with a sharp knife and poking in some rosemary and garlic cloves and serving with crusty bread with real butter, raw broccoli and carrot pieces and delicious salamis and other similar meats, delicious!

You are so aggressive. Definitely go to the supermarket and get what you want 😘

@Ninkanink the amaretto got chocolate sounds lovely but I love a baileys hot chocolate! I’ve finished the supermarket shop now and don’t plan to go back for a couple of weeks as I bought longer lasting fruits and veggies too (apples, a melon, a pineapple, some pears, root veggies, broccoli (which I find lasts a while) and some frozen veg) I’ll pop to the corner shop for milk but I will have baileys on my list for the next shop, as I truly believe we will be in lockdown for a lot longer than the initial 3 weeks based on numbers and speaking to friends who live in Spain and Italy.

I love baked camembert, thank you for reminding me of its deliciousness.
Goes off to queue to get on the Ocado website to add it to my order

Ninkanink · 30/03/2020 13:49

Oh yes hot with bailey’s is good too...I tend to add it to coffees, though.

Your comprehension is so poor.

Enjoy your tropical fruit Wink

Thanks @Purpleorangegerberas that sounds delicious! I'm going to get some Camembert next time, I couldn't carry too much last time I went and don't drive so I need to go again soon. All other cheese / vege lunch recommendations please!

I can have garlic bread with that too as I'm not going to breathe on any colleagues!

When I go back to work and to my usual butty, kit kat and apple, I am going to be very disappointed with my lunches Grin

CeibaTree · 30/03/2020 14:23

Guys sorry to be a bear on this .. but you do realise now is not the time to be comfort eating yum yums and chocolate
Bloody hell, the OP said she was going to have a treat ONE evening this week, that's hardly going to tip anyone into obesity! Your fruit, cheese and bread combo hardly sounds all that healthy either tbh!

Thanks @GarlicSoup
