Fuck me, if mine rolls her eyes any further into the back of her head, she might find her last remaining brain cells.

They way she’s carrying on, you would think I single handily created coronavirus myself! Hmm

And how fucking hard is it for her to just open her damn window?! If you’re going to sit in your room with the door closed for weeks on end, OPEN THE FUCKING WINDOW! YOUR ROOM SMELLS LIKE A CORPSE!

I feel your pain Flowers I'm trying to focus on the fact that as mine won't get off her arse and get out of her bed she'll only get infected with the bacterial growths she's cultivating on the unwashed dishes in her room... which ultimately, I will be grateful for.
But yes, it's going to be a long old haul and I'll be biting my lip till it bleeds at this rate.....

Arrghh! The smell, the laziness! It was hard enough to get mine out of the house before! Is being a recluse a necessary part of adolescence? I genuinely can’t tell if mine is depressed or kind of normal. Strength to all.

She apparently has no intention of leaving her room for the next six months, except for food and to roll her eyes at me.

Oh yes I hear you. Teensx3. Getting them to open windows and curtains, go for daily exercise, do school work and not live all day permanently in bed on screens is impossible. God knows what is going to stagger out at the end of this.😩

My son complains he has nothing to do yet none of my suggestions are good enough should it dare involve anything to do with reading a book. He also forgets he has a window that he really ought to open....it does not smell good in there now he doesn't even open the curtain not even an inch, He seems to collect dirty clothes and plates then brings them down in one huge mountain and assumes that is helping , I practically have to drag him out for our daily walk/exercise much to his dismay. not that we get far because complains its too sunny...hurts his eyes, walk only a short while....legs hurt, tired , can we go back home now. The constant complaining is driving me slowly insane.
Luckily he did get his school work done during the week but now its the weekend no doubt he will have "nothing to do"

Ugh, pretty much zero school work going on here too. My youngest has been super, getting all his online stuff done. My teen gives zero fucks and thinks she’s on holiday.

She just emerged from her room and said... wait for it... “can we go and get my nails done?”

The fuck? What fucking planet do you live on? Point me in the direction of a nail salon, or ya know, any shop at all, that’s open 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Fuck me, the fumes from her room must have killed the three remaining brain cells.

I told mine the Government advice was minimum 20 minutes activity outdoors. Leading by example of course but he's still to go out. I think he's actually quite scared 🙁

Mine is same. She asked when she can go to hairdressers and moaned she likes none of her clothes. She has worn pjs for a solid week and barely opened her curtains. I think she is actually depressed but she wont talk to me anyway apart from blaming me for coronavirus 🙄

Mine's not too bad, though she's also done naff all college work. She has sorted out her room, done her nails, fake tanned (why?!) and done a couple of face masks. She hasn't left the house since Sunday though. Maybe today will be the day!

One of mine veers between being quite nice to occasional bouts of rage. She has stuck to a routine of sorts though, doing her school stuff early, then having a shower, Lunch then a walk. With me in the evening. She is bored but coping fairly well under the circumstances. I'm working and at times she has been a bit testing as she wants me to do stuff for her right now, and won't accept that I'm in the middle of something.

The other has taken to not getting up before 12, usually more like 2, being dragged out for a walk, then retreating back to her room. We haven't seen much of her these last two weeks tbh Sad

I think they need time to adjust and dd2 especially but next week will try to get her in a more healthy routine.

Oh my God!!! Thank you thank you!! I’ve been beating myself up over the perfect family life posts of hard working, diligent, smiley teens all over my facebook with pics of them laughing in the garden playing with balls and siblings.

DD is fine, getting over (suspected) Covud and spending longer each day on her school work than I am working! DS14 (year 20) seems to have about 30 mins work a day yet his teachers maintain its all there online.

Could do with a handhold though, same DS has asthma and extreme allergies. Not on his normal for this time of year oral steroids due to Covid risk and now seems to have come down with it. He is at risk and I am in bits. He's watching you tube so is clearly fine for today

Mine is bored, so bored, and she seems to blame me for it.

Any suggestions of things to do it met with a glare/eye roll. I’m fit to be tied at the moment. She lives in squalor in a dark room. My heart sinks when l hear her coming downstairs, as l know it will be yet another challenge for me to solve her boredom. Which never works anyway😭

Well dd2 has finally come out of her room this afternoon, decided to make a home made body scrub using an entire bag of sugar, and seemingly plastered every surface in the bathroom with it. Naturally I didn't discover it until it had hardened to a gritty sticky paste. She was then exceptionally rude when the mess she had made was pointed out to her.

I've lost it with her tbh... it's a shit situation for everyone without her making a mess like a three year old.

I've just spent an hour trying to clean it whilst she fucking sulks in her room and there is still sugar everywhere. FFS!!!!

Mine are both telling me they are doing school work...!! DS 16 is fine.
But DD 15 is another story also doesn't get dressed/room a tip, rarely washes.
I have underlying health issues so i am a bit paranoid about getting CV and not recovering. DD when she does come down she is nasty and verbally abuse to me (the hatred is unbelievable) DH can do no wrong.
You would think i created CV and ordered the lock down (everything is my fault).

My 2 teen dd’s are actually getting on better! There’s less than 2 years between them and they used to be so close when they were younger, it’s lovely seeing them treating each other like best friends again

So nice to hear that I'm not the only parent who has single handily delivered COVID 19 into my teens life just to piss them off!

I get they are bored, annoyed they can't see their mates but bloody hell- I DIDNT do this
They can virtually meet up. Constantly chat whilst they do work....What's is the problem with getting school work done- not like they have shit loads of other stuff to do is it??
I feel like shouting GET OVER YOURSELF

Yes! DD got up at 11ish today, made a huge mess making iced coffee and lolled around FaceTiming friends and watching Netflix most of the day. I dragged her out for a walk late afternoon during which she refused any kind of conversation and gazed whimsically into the far distance. Disappeared upstairs the minute we got back to play Snog Marry Avoid on FaceTime with her friends about the boys in her class. Attempted to engage me in a discussion about the NHS at 10.30 in an attempt to avoid bed. Aggh.
