What do you clean your shopping with?

Do you clean your shopping to protect from coronavirus and what with? Looking after elderly parents and want to make sure we protect them as much as possible.

I wipe it all using a new wipe when they stop leaving the wet residue. Then after wiping I put away fridge stuff and leave everything else for 48 hours. Freezer stuff I have really bothered with just put away.

I know this is a bit out there and a rather novel suggestion but.....

You could just wash your hands properly.

Wiping shopping with an antibac wipe is going to do precisely fuck all to the virus on the surface. You are wasting your time.

Seriously, for the one YouTube video by someone claiming to be a doctor, telling you that you must sanitise everything that enters the house, there are 100 articles written by reputable people in their field advising the exact opposite.

It’s time to take a breath and focus people.

Not doing anything other than washing fruit and veg before use, as always. With two small kids there isn’t enough time here to stand around wiping every item. None of us are in a vulnerable group. I would have thought we’re much more likely to catch it if someone coughs next to one of us at the supermarket.

Dettol wipes over the package and wash fruit and veg thoroughly
You just don’t know for sure who’s touched it before you have in the shop.
My son’s asthmatic and I don’t want to take a risk with anything

Can we use washing up liquid ?

I don't wipe over any shopping. I wash my hands when I get in and we all wash our hands before we eat. Oh, we eat all our meals in the cupboard under the stairs waiting for the all-clear to sound.

That’ll be why I’m struggling to find Milton to sterilise my baby’s bottles. FFS.

Where are you all getting your anti bac wipes from? I can't get hold of any for love nor (reasonable) money!!
