This is intended to be lighthearted so I apologise if anyone is upset or offended.
I just wondered if anyone would be willing to admit to something which really upsets them about the lockdown situation, whilst also being very aware of how petty and selfish it is in light of the widespread suffering and the seriousness of the whole awful situation ?
For example, I am so thankful for everything I have atm and am doing as much as I can to help neighbours and friends, but I am absolutely gutted that Eastenders/ The Archers won’t be on so often, and also that I am about to run out of my industrial strength cover up foundation, which I used to buy at my local chemist and doesn’t seem to be available online..😟

I can't get laid.

Nonnymum · 24/03/2020 20:00

I am annoyed I can't go to the hairdresser. My roots desperately need doing and it needs cutting. It's a good thing I can't go out and. No one can visit

SunshineCake · 24/03/2020 20:00

I'm missing my long daily walks with my best mate, aka as my golden retriever.

I have plenty of time to do the garden but too exhausted to do it.

Dh is off sick but the kids are here and he's recuperating so no lunches out or afternoons inWink as I would have hoped for.

BusySittingDown · 24/03/2020 20:01

I wish, that if we had to have lockdown, it was in the winter months

Spring is my favourite time of year, I literally live for it.*

I know! I wouldn't have bloody minded a lock down during storm Ciara and Dennis. We have a lock down now that the sun has decided to show up and it's so pleasant outside!

iswhois · 24/03/2020 20:01

Nails need doing badly

Can't go on my Easter trip to Paris

LadyLindaT · 24/03/2020 20:01

Slowly recovering from a broken leg and wrist last year, which destroyed my fitness instructor qualification.

Just got back to working out again when I got hit by pneumonia (?). Finally got back to working out.

One week! I got one bloody week, and now it's all over.

marcopront · 24/03/2020 20:01

My year 13s have had a shit year - not being told about work they should have done last year, being told to write an essay on the wrong book, one of their peers dying. Now they don't get to show what they know as exams are cancelled, we had no notice of schools closing (not in the UK) and so no chance of goodbyes and no graduation.

My year 12s who come from all over the world had to leave with little notice, booking flights was a nightmare, some got turned away at the airport, some had flights cancelled, some have no internet and so can't do online lessons.

GabsAlot · 24/03/2020 20:03

my nails -i used to bite them for years then started having gels done-stopped me from doing it

cant get them done i feel the urge to bite already-when they gel comes off god knows how long i will last

YewandOak · 24/03/2020 20:03

I want to go to work. I love my job

Snap! I miss the fun,the customers and the banter. And the job itself!. The whole team shed a few tears last week when we were told that we had to close. (Cafe) Such a close knit team and boss.

morriseysquif · 24/03/2020 20:04

I have no dedicated alone time anymore
Our Easter break won't happen
DD1 missed out on all the end of Primary fun.
'D'P is in the house all day, that is the worst. Sad

JaneEyre7 · 24/03/2020 20:04

It's horribly shallow but I've got a very "shaped" bob hairstyle that's already a week overdue for a cut, I also had a colour booked and I already look like stig of the dump..........

I'm absolutely dreading the thought of going for 6 weeks without a cut........ I've already been eyeing thinning scissors and box colours on Amazon Blush

ColourMeExhausted · 24/03/2020 20:05

I really, really wanted to get my hair cut and coloured this Friday. And my nails done. It's a very rare treat for me and I was so looking forward to being pampered. Petty I know, but I'm a bit gutted.

I'm also worried about my tooth. Last week I had a dental check up and was told I needed a small filling. Booked in for this week, obviously it's now cancelled. Been told I won't be seen unless am in 'excruciating pain'. I'm a bit upset because I worry about my teeth: after having my second DC I ended up having two teeth out due to weak gums during pregnancy. I'm scared of that happening again and so really would rather not leave my tooth decay which although small now, will become more serious the longer it is left. I don't know what to do about that.

Overthegardenfence · 24/03/2020 20:05

I wanted to put my house on the market but now I’ll have to wait. I had made it look so nice as well.

IrisAtwood · 24/03/2020 20:06

Not being able to get my hair cut or have a coffee in the coffee shop.

userxx · 24/03/2020 20:06

@PristineCondition I'm gutted for you 😞.

heidipi · 24/03/2020 20:06

Threading! I'm going to look like Hagrid by the time I can get it done again. And I'm worried about the threading lady losing her business - not completely selfish, see?

Laurapb88 · 24/03/2020 20:06

I'm devastated that it took 3 years to conceive my son and now i can't have my mum at the birth and people wont be able to meet him for months I'm.upset that he won't have pictures of his family meeting him when he is first born x

HuggedTheRedwoods · 24/03/2020 20:07

@whiteroseredrose Try asking your accommodation if they would let you move the bookings, some hotels/tour elements are allowing that for goodwill even for non-refundable due to the extraordinary circumstances. If no luck and you paid via credit card, speak to your card provider to see if they can help and then finally your insurance.

Iceland is a beautiful country and will be worth the wait when you get there. In the meantime have a look at some of the webcams: www.livefromiceland.is

Zisforstripyoss · 24/03/2020 20:07

DH and I had to cancel our big milestone wedding anniversary trip.

DameLucy · 24/03/2020 20:07

My baby grandson was born last week and we can’t visit 😥
I’ll miss my holiday.
Roots look horrific already ....
I could go on 😂

BuzzingButterfly · 24/03/2020 20:08

That I won’t have Monday and Wednesday afternoons all to myself anymore Sad

That sounds really pathetic, but it’s the only time I ever got completely to myself. Only started a couple of months ago when DS2 started nursery, I’d just rediscovered my love of reading. My flat was finally tidy and organised, I’d started redecorating and after 10 years of never ever getting any time to myself it was pure heaven. My mental health was actually stable for the first time in years because I could actually take care of myself properly. Five entire blissful hours a week to myself was all I needed and it’s gone Sad

Which is an absolute first world problem since we’re now all in the same boat!

CherieBabySpliffUp · 24/03/2020 20:08

I'm gutted that my DD is in her last year in Primary school and is likely to miss out on her trip away with her school friends to a PGL place. That she'll miss out on the leavers disco and signing her mates t-shirts on the last day of term.

SpeedofaSloth · 24/03/2020 20:08

Sainsbury's cafe is closed Angry

snidgetowl · 24/03/2020 20:08

I'm getting married later on this year, and had hoped to do so much planning in the Easter holidays - we were planning on going to wedding fairs, trying on bridesmaids dresses, sorting invitations. Now it just seems pointless, and I can't bring myself to feel excited anymore. I'm just praying that I'll be allowed to marry my partner even if we can't have the celebration yet.

MargotsLine · 24/03/2020 20:08

Ds1 is missing out on a Cambridge college residential and probably open days for choosing a university (as Cambridge is hard to get into, he needs a backup). Plus a summer school at another university.

It is trivial but I am gutted.
