Would you be willing to admit

This is intended to be lighthearted so I apologise if anyone is upset or offended.
I just wondered if anyone would be willing to admit to something which really upsets them about the lockdown situation, whilst also being very aware of how petty and selfish it is in light of the widespread suffering and the seriousness of the whole awful situation ?
For example, I am so thankful for everything I have atm and am doing as much as I can to help neighbours and friends, but I am absolutely gutted that Eastenders/ The Archers won’t be on so often, and also that I am about to run out of my industrial strength cover up foundation, which I used to buy at my local chemist and doesn’t seem to be available online..😟

I have cancelled plans for a milestone birthday, I had decided to actually go and travel the world, after promising myself to do this for over 20 years. Each year something new has come up and I just kept postponing it.
This year with the birthday, I was going to do it and I was just organising it, luckily I had not paid, so I haven't lost any money but I have lost the opportunity.
In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter at all. The images on the TV of Italy are enough, for me to embrace my loved ones and just stay at home.

@Ifeelsuchafool
I'm really gutted that I accidentally washed my watch, which was a present from my late mother, and heartbroken that, given the present situation, I can't get it to a jeweller's to be taken apart and dried out professionally so there's absolutely no hope of saving it. sad

Have you tried putting it in a bowl of dry uncooked rice and leaving overnight? This worked for DBIL's mobile phone when he dropped it in the bath. Good luck!

You could also try putting it in a bag of those silicon sachets you get with new shoes and the like, the dessicant ones. You can buy bags of them.
I/we saved the keyboard from my Galaxy book after I tipped an entire cup of coffee over it.

I was meant to be seeing Duran Duran .my favourite band from teenage years t the Isle of Wight festival and it's been cancelled. Gutted to be honest !

Was meant to be going on a girly holiday abroad. Don’t think I fancy it now anyway, don’t want to go abroad for a long time. Will be terrified of spreading anything else.

Sad for my six year old. We had a holiday booked first week in April as well as a birthday party for her planned at the end of April and Disney on ice booked.

She's taken it all on the chin but I feel for her

I am supposed to be in Montreal this weekend chaperoning a choral festival with the DDs. There will be other festivals and other trips but this one was special because my lovely SIL and DNiece live there.

Quite a few birthday parties and a christening all cancelled. Not the end of the world but was looming forward too them all.

Just had our holiday cancelled (knew it wouldn't go ahead but still sad).

Missing mundane things like: good coffee from our local cafe, sitting in a beer garden and just popping into a shop without a second thought

I'm gutted I missed a spa day for my birthday with my dh first day on our own for ages. Petty I know but I was so looking forward to it. Also had lots of fun things planned with the kids for the summer we were going to take them to centerparcs, my son was due to have his hearing tested yesterday(cancelled) and we were meant to be having a home visit from someone from early intervention soon too so no idea when that will happen and No closer to getting any help for him now after a year since I expressed my concerns to phn. Oh well we will just muddle on.

Our new sofas aren’t being delivered.

I miss wandering round charity shops and going to my monthly pub quiz.

I just switched to a phone contract with a huge data allowance because I had a long commute. Guess it will come in handy if the WiFi goes down.

I’m in therapy and am finding it very stressful and upsetting having to do this remotely.
