Aw what a crap symptom! I have other symptoms that are not fun but at least I’m enjoying my food Flowers

I lost taste and smell totally for three days - both seem to be returning today, but they aren't back to normal yet. I also had a persistent sinus headache for the first two days, though that finally lifted yesterday.

Other than that, I feel fine. But there does currently seem to be an extraordinarily high incidence of loss of taste and smell and I really think that this should be listed as a symptom. I know that I must self isolate, those of us on this thread know - but I bet there are plenty of people who don't.

Crikey!

DP and I walked past a silage pit last Friday, he remarked on the terrible smell but I didn't notice a thing. I had a slightly blocked nose but nothing major.

I then noticed last night I couldn't smell the onion that I was chopping- I've just double checked the raw half onion remaining in the fridge and I can't smell it at all.

I can smell soap and flowers though, and I've not noticed anything awry with my sense of smell.

I had this along with the more textbook symptoms, cough and temp, and it has come back! I reckon I lost it for about 4 days, the 2nd week into the bug. (I am not a confirmed case.) I also didn't have a blocked nose.

Oops as in my sense of smell/taste has come back, not the symptom has come back Confused
