Key workers

My childminder friend has just received this list of who counts as key workers, and been told by her insurers her insurance won’t be valid if she takes non-key worker parents

There’s no medical staff on there other than paramedics and midwives?

And military officers aren’t on there but NCO / other ranks are? That makes no sense.

Not convinced by that list. Until government issues official one (and not a vague half picture of one from an anonymous internet source) then I'm not inclined to believe it..

How can teachers be on there? The schools are shutting.... so what teachers will be in, teaching their own kids?!

The official list of key workers is being released tomorrow. There is lots of guessing going on right now so I would encourage your childminder to wait until hearing officially instead of relying on maybes from the internet.

Teachers will be on there to take care of the key workers children!

(I'd have thought nurses would definitely be on the list!!!)

Yes I think it's a hoax too no Pharmacist's either (or pharmacy staff). People will need medication still.

Not true - we've had a list emailed from headteacher. I teach in a secondary school.

@AllTheWhoresOfMalta teachers will be doing two things. Supervising and setting remote work and teaching the children of key workers!

Pupils on a Child Protection Plan
Pupils on a Child in Need Plan
Children of NHS workers
Children of public sector workers
Children of armed services
Children of supermarket staff

I’m wondering what about Royal Mail and other delivery people, I know they said supermarket delivery

I work for the NHS but not frontline. Wasn’t sure how specific it would be.

I'm a Headteacher, we have been told that the Cabinet Office will be sending us a list of essential workers tomorrow.

This was shared on a Facebook group I'm on. It's from a Staffordshire school, says this is Government advice.

Sadly I think this list is wrong.

Why is everyone saying it doesn’t have nurses on? It does. Nursing auxiliary and assistants

Radiographers are NHS workers involved in clinical work so they are on that last list.
