• Some people travel a lot. Multiple continents, multiple times a year!

• My kids really hate school. They have been on lockdown for weeks. They really want to see their friends. But they are prepared to do without as long as they don't have to go to school.

• If I had guessed at the number of books I would read on lockdown a month ago, I would have guessed a much higher number than the 1.5 I have actually read

I had no idea so many Brits go to Northern Italy on holiday.

Skiing, apparently.

I’m actually quite sensible. Think I’m getting old.

That everything has its moment. One minute you’re a boring old sanitiser, pasta or tinned tomatoe sitting on the shelf, the next you’re being guarded by a security officer with hundreds fighting over you.

Even when I'm in the house and not working, I can still find excuses for not doing housework.

Just how much of what people do on a day to day basis is actually quite pointless. Every one is busy with "important" jobs when in reality the world has kept going just fine without most of them for the last week.

That I really love going to work.

I'm not the introvert I thought I was.

That I'm not the type of mother who relishes being trapped with my offspring for days on end.

That both incomes in the house should not be tourism related (both out of work now)

That living in a nice area is a real positive

That I have lovely neighbours

That I like my family

That if I want my stash of chocolate and crisps to keep me going for a while before I have to obtain some more (I’m high risk) then I’ll probably have to stop eating them quite so often....

Oh and I didn’t panic buy. I always have a decent stash

That I don’t need Facebook and it is bad for your mental wellbeing

That paracetamol is an amazing wonder drug, especially when you can't get hold of any.

it's taught my 17yo that you feel a lot better if you get dressed and open the curtains

(he had a temperature on Thursday night. Almost Certainly Not covid19, but he's been ensconced in his room ever since)

That the most important people in society are generally the lowest paid.

That collecting every mini bar of soap from every hotel I've ever stayed at ( and I am away most weeks for work) was actually genius, not kleptomania
