I know it's not the end of the world and I completely understand the need to do it, but just wondering what you have had to cancel so far?

I've had the following
All baby groups for my last 2 weeks of maternity leave.

Fitness classes and weight watchers

My sons birthday party

Step-daughters school residential

Easter holiday and possibly half term holiday

Our anniversary weekend away.

We are having to be very careful as my brother is in the high risk category.

Myself and DP Are looking at how we can work from home. Obviously me when I go back.

Daughter and step-daughters school is partly closed.

CoronaIsComing · 17/03/2020 17:03

Much looked forward to holiday skiing in Canada.
Northern Ireland for the North West 200.
All of DS’s clubs.
Not my work appointments with vulnerable children 🤨

PeterPanGoesWrong · 17/03/2020 17:07

Tonight’s trip to the theatre, with pre theatre cocktails.
All my gym classes. I do two on a Monday, Three on Wednesday and Friday.
Monday nights pub quiz is off.
A trip to my adult daughters (about 100km away) which involved a hen weekend. (About 169 km away)
A weekend away with my DH for our wedding anniversary next month. (50km away but fantastic)

After April, it’s anybody’s guess as to what happens.

It’s sad, but I guess it’s effective, ....I hope it’s effective.
Stay safe everyone.

we havent cancelled our trip to the US in May yet as it is beyond the official period of not flying. However as soon as that period is extended we will be able to get our money back. I'm devastated as the trip is to see FiL who is 87 - God knows if/when we will see him again.
I've had some work meetings cancelled.
Ds has cancelled his holiday with mates to Croatia at Easter.
I don't have much else booked in. Dh was due to take part in a big sporting event that has now been cancelled. But all the things we normally do - cinema, gym, eating out with friends - will have to stop.

Atalune · 17/03/2020 17:16

Cancelled our French holiday in the summer.

Have cancelled all my gym memberships

Have now instated a local veg box delivery service, a fresh bread service and a meat box locally. Trying to offset my cancellations with local starts!

Babdoc · 17/03/2020 17:28

All our church services, my cruise holiday, Mothering Sunday with my DDs, Easter ditto, my bridge club and my table tennis club.
It will be worth it if we can reduce the rate of patients presenting to hospitals each week, but it is quite tough and socially isolating for those of us who live alone.
All the things that we use for support are off the table - no comforting communal church service, no hugs, no contact with family, no social outings for distraction. We can only hope that it won’t be necessary for too many months.

cocorico42 · 17/03/2020 17:31

Our catering work from now until who knows when and my daughter has had her season as a chalet host in French Alps cut short. No income for any of us right now.

Greggers2017 · 17/03/2020 17:50

So sorry everybody has had to cancel so much.

My son was upset about his party but this was made better by gammon from the butchers 🤷‍♀️

Greggers2017 · 18/03/2020 11:31

Work (probably for 3 months as I am
Zero hours contract in a non urgent department of nhs), holiday (hopefully will only lose the deposit for the villa, at worst we will lose what we have paid for the flights). Plus all the usual social activities (Easter, 2 of DCs birthdays are in April so nothing will happen there).

Chinks123 · 18/03/2020 12:21

Family holiday to Spain
All baby classes
Both kids swimming lessons
