Yabu Yes it's fine to still go.
Yanbu You should not go. Should have stock piled last week. (I did a bit but not as much as I should have and kids eat lots.)

Genuinely do not know what people are stockpiling for. Ok I guess most people are projecting supplies will run short as supply chain staff get sick, however, having a month or two of dried fusilli is going to do jack all if the stores ended up out of stock for months (which they will not).

F me. You think the big retailers will miss this opportunity to boost sales after a miserable (their perception) Q4 2019?!

It’s no safer than anywhere else but we all need to eat so needs must... ! Just make sure hands are washed when you get in, consider wearing disposable gloves, stand as far away from others as possible, etc etc.
