Should my husband go to America tomorrow?

We have 2 young children, 7 months and 2 years. My husband is travelling to America tomorrow for work. Is it sensible for him to still travel?
I'm worried he will get stuck out there. Everything is changing so quickly.

No, it's not sensible! What's he going to do if he's stuck there?

I would say no. The expense of being stuck there would be huge and the expense of being ill in the US would terrify me.

Can it be rescheduled? Conducted by Skype? Very few work related things are so important they can't wait a few months.

No. There's a real possibility he may get stuck there if flights are stopped. Also depending on where he is going there are some badly hit areas. Just heard Dr Clare Gerada interviewed about her case. She caught it in New York.

I'm sure he will be repatriated though. Trump literally just said in a press conference that they are announcing on monday that the UK is being added to the banned list.

Well since the UK is now under the ban so his trip is obviously cancelled. My mum was due to visit. Guess I’ll have to go to the UK to see her instead.

It was announced in the local media in NC a few days ago that American were stopping the direct shuttle flight from RDU to LHR at the weekend.

Think the US just announced they are cancelling flights from the UK.

@theworldisfullofgs no, that’s not what has been announced. Visitors from Europe (and that now includes the U.K. and ROI) are not allowed to come here. We Americans and Green Card holders can still travel back and forth. Flights are still operating.
