Maybe their families don't want it known.
It's not some conspiracy you only have to look at videos of Italy to know that

I was wondering this earlier on today too. But then I thought if a close family member had died from it I wouldn't want the media circus that usually surrounds these things.
So there's a chance that there's some sort of embargo on announcing the dead. Simply because it's such a fast spreading disease.

Or it's all hyped up to hide something.

Ffs you’re not one of the non believers are you?!

They also don’t report the names of each person who dies from Flu/Cholera/HIV each time it happens but everyone knows they exist

Probably because there's not that many of them yet?
Probably because it's none of your bloody business?!
Or because their loved ones are all too busy self isolating and grieving to appear in the daily fail?!

There has been interviews with one of the families.

Only 10 people in the UK have died of it. Is it any wonder almost no one knows anyone? What a load of shit you are coming up with.

I know someone who likely has it just now but they aren't testing.

Why would be told a name, what would that mean to you? 10 in the U.K., you would more than likely have no idea.

Erm, I didn't come up with it 😕
As you can see it's a screenshot

I know 2 unconnected people who have it. I am not going to name them. You should not infer from this that they do not exist.

There are tweets of names, photos and bio's of doctors in China and Italy who have died of Corona. Really sad cases, leaving behind families/pregnant wives. Keeping on working when PPE ran out and getting sick then.

RIP

Makes me terrified for our medical professionals, there are photos going around of our new formed Coronavirus fighting medical teams. So scared for them.

I did read an article in one of the papers, where Dad had died from the virus, but the rest of the family are now in isolation, so can’t arrange funerals etc

Here in Australia there have been lots of interviews with the people who have recovered. When the first person died here, the family released a statement and his name.
He was a travel agent from Western Australia who was on the Diamond Princess. Its not a state secret, you can find information if you look.

There are accounts all over the place of people who have died of the virus around the world. There is even a Wikipedia page listing those who have been named as diagnosed and/or deceased but I am not going to link to it as you can no doubt find it by a quick websearch if you really want to. It is being considered for deletion by Wikipedia, presumably due to being in rather poor taste.

Evidently it didn't make you think hard enough to do a simple search and find the wiki page which lists 'notable' people who have been diagnosed, including quite a few deaths. Hmm

I know of one of the dead - I used to go to school with his children, my nephew goes to school with his grandchildren. He is (was) real and not a hoax. Not famous, not notable, just normal.

Ddad has had it, still looks dreadful weeks on. Why on earth would people be named and 'shamed' effectively.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 14/03/2020 07:57

I hope he’s ok & makes a speedy recovery @lorrainerose Flowers

Why would you want people named op? It’s quite distasteful to the people who’ve lost family & friends.
