Im in a cafe and next to 3 men in a business meeting talking about coronavirus how it will impact their company, intresting and also slightly terrifying

Weirdly no-one I know in real life mentions CV.
The fear is obviously there, but so are other every day worries.
CV doesn't lessen other problems.
I think we must either live in a town of denial or people are so laid down with other worries that they just don't have the energy.

Brool story co

Notapheasantplucker · 12/03/2020 11:43

Following with interest, this sounds juicy...Grin

FortunatelyDark · 12/03/2020 11:46

Then what happened? Come on!

Kraejka · 12/03/2020 11:47

Shamelessly placemarking for an update. Can't wait to hear more about what these businessmen (with their very own cocks) have to say.

enigmatoto · 12/03/2020 11:47

@ @AngelicaKauffman and Squeekums Grin Grin Grin

PeninsulaPanic · 12/03/2020 11:47

And this thread is 'trending now'? Blimey, we are living in lean times Hmm

RollingDog · 12/03/2020 11:49

Coronavirus? Eh? Have I missed something? Wink

LikeDuhWhatever · 12/03/2020 11:50

So if it were three builders with their bums hanging out of their messy trousers you wouldn’t care? But when it’s suits it’s different, eh?

gingersausage · 12/03/2020 11:51

All hail the mighty knowledge of the MEN!

What’s the punchline then OP? 🤣

OldEvilOwl · 12/03/2020 11:52

And?

Straycatstrut · 12/03/2020 12:21

U ok hun?

chicken2015 · 12/03/2020 13:07

OP posts:
Kittykat93 · 12/03/2020 13:09

But op you haven't said what was so interesting and terrifying about the conversation...

chicken2015 · 12/03/2020 13:10

Terrifying was a bit dramatic! Just interesting listening , it was obvious a u had to be there moment which i shouldnt have posted

OP posts:
chicken2015 · 12/03/2020 13:11

Just the way one man was very like its very serious and the other man was very blase and 3rd man was trying to keep peace

OP posts:
DamselInTheStress · 12/03/2020 13:14

If there's two things that make me pay attention it's BUSINESS and MEN. Very important stuff. Grin

Too true. I stood on the corner this morning having a similar conversation with a friend of mine after the school run. Fortunately nobody looks twice at two middle-aged mums having a natter outside Tesco's. Never mind that we both know quite a lot about quite a lot of Very Important Things.

Not to worry OP, we all have threads that fall flat Smile

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 12/03/2020 13:14

I was discussing my recent ski trip to Italy in a cafe on Tuesday.

Had a strong urge to point out to the nearby customers it was in December...

Cobwebsandbrooms · 12/03/2020 13:15

With the kindest of respect, it's really not in the slightest bit noteworthy Grin

chicken2015 · 12/03/2020 13:16

I do find it funny people have jumped on the men thing like thats the important thing maybe i should have said people

OP posts:
chicken2015 · 12/03/2020 13:17

Cobweb yes thank you im definitely realising that now, next time i feel urge to blurt out on a post about something really not that exciting i will stop myself im not being sarcastic by the way

RedRed9 · 12/03/2020 13:19

forkfun · 12/03/2020 13:20

People with penises?

Mayaaaaa · 12/03/2020 13:21

I kind of get. I sometimes wonder what mumsnet would think of something that happens in RL. But it doesnt always make thread.

You just jumped the gun.

As it is, sound like society in general. Some people think its over the top. Some are probably too relax and some people are in the middle.

Fivefourthree · 12/03/2020 13:24

I think you saw irl a clear example of how people are about this. People do seem to fall into one of three clear camps and it was a good illustration of this :)
