I think a story went round that toilet roll was made in wuhan at one point. And once shelves start emptying, people tend to do the same, just in case, it's natural. Marketing people know this well, have a limited offer and you will sell more than if it's not limited.

Panic buying is not prepping ffs. Prepping is what you do to avoid all the panic buying.

Aldi up here in the north absolutely fine today. Only thing I noticed was pain killers out of stock, but plenty of toilet roll etc.
