We are watching the next step of Israels ethnic cleansing plan unfold before us. Pushing people south preparing for full occupation and ethnic cleansing. Netanyahus 'spiritual mission' towards his dreams of Greater Israel.

Dangermoo · 20/08/2025 09:47

A 'greater' Israel or a safer Israel?; the latter being a fundamental right. Maybe if their enemy hadn't been so loathsome of that right, wecwoukdnt be talkingvabout united, now.

Israel can do no wrong in your eyes can it @Dangermoo

Wow. Condoning the mass slaughter of the innocent. No wonder the world is the way it is.

I believe Putin made much the same kind of claims to justify the invasion of Ukraine.

Israel retreated from Gaza to concentrate in its own state. They couldn't be left alone though, could they?

Well, the Russia-Ukraine conflict isn't without critics of Ukraine.

How do you deduce that from my post? I know there are some typos, but still...

Sure, a lot of Russians believe anything Putin tells them. Plus there's a bunch of useful idiots in the West who go along with Putin's claims either because they're getting paid by Russia to do so (eg, Tim Pool) or because they're influenced by such people.

So it's selective belief - got it. Talking of useful idiots...

Eretz Yisrael requires taking war to all of Israel’s neighbours.
It will continue to make things less safe for us, not more.

If there is a human “right to safety”, then why doesn’t that apply equally to the Palestinian civilians caught between Hamas and the IDF?

Given the death and injury tolls, Israeli civilians are objectively not safe and Palestinian civilians are exponentially less safe than Israeli civilians.

Yes, Putin says he is the light of civilisation- using armed intervention to eave Ukraine from powerful neo-nazis from taking over.

The question about Palestinians right to safety lies in the hands of those, who use them as ammunition.

Retreated is a funny way to describe the air, sea, land, water,
power, food, goods blockade and building a big old prison wall encircling the Gaza Strip while not allowing any Gazans in or out except for a few thousand given permits by Israel. Then every few months “mowing the grass” aka bombing Gaza to destroy any progress towards self sufficiency in water, power, food or attempts to manufacture and export goods.

Yes, Israel did not leave Gaza alone.

You might think many things of Netanyahu - stupid he is not. As was the same with Sharon. As if they were really going to leave themselves wide open, to an enemy, who made their intentions- and still do, perfectly clear.

Israel uses the bodies of Palestinians as ammunition in the literal sense. All the dead bodies everywhere from using heavy bombs in urban areas, then as the ground advance continues the IDF have been using bulldozers in cemeteries to dig them up and scatter rotting body parts. Then they evacuate the survivors back to find this and try and rebury the dead.
CNN has reported on at least 16 cemeteries they did this to
https://edition.cnn.com/2024/01/20/middleeast/israel-gaza-cemeteries-desecrated-investigation-intl-cmd/

That’s a text book medieval tactic as dead bodies piling up rotting in a besieged city cause disease to spread to kill off the inhabitants.

But anyway I don’t believe a human right is something that should be in the hands of or at the discretion anyone. A human right to safety is a right we all have at birth as humans. It isn’t contingent on political end goals or the generosity of those with the biggest army.

I totally agree with your last para - except to add - that same human right also shouldn't be determined by whose religion is considered the most dominant.

Then it wasn’t a retreat and Gaza and as the UN and ICJ have ruled, Gaza has been continuously occupied by Israel since 1967. Occupations and the violent oppression required to sustain them in turn cause violent resistance and even terrorist groups to form. The way forward to a sustaining peace can be found in dozens of modern historical examples, but Israel’s government is deliberately not applying these lessons learned because they have said they believe they have the right to annex the land and expel the Palestinian people.

Agree, religion is irrelevant for human rights. We all have them and even our enemies should respect our human rights and vice versa. Even wars have rules.

More the kind of useful idiot that excuses a massive and disproportionate military action that's motivated by nationalistic expansionism under the pretence of security.

What about not keeping Palestinians in an open air prison? An Israeli life isn’t worth more than a Palestinian and vice versa.

Dangermoo · 20/08/2025 11:12

I can't answer that because I don't know the extent of danger and circimstances, posed by those detainees.

Thinking more on this. In Israel, my religion, Judaism is dominant. So human rights should be for those of us who are Jewish and all those who are not Jewish in Israel or in territory we occupy/rule.

That is not happening though, the Israeli government is not treating all the humans in its area of responsibility and governance equally.

Too, many of its leaders have been and still are to this day are publicly stating that God says they have the right to take the lands and homes of nonJews and also to ethnically cleanse them by ‘voluntary relocation’ under threat of death. That is what is happening in the West Bank and what is the stated intent for Gaza once they start allowing Palestinians to flee the war zone instead of hemming them all in together with Hamas.

When a government starts invoking their equivalent of the Christian “Deus Vult” that launched the massacres and expulsion of Jewish communities all over Europe and the crusades- then you know their government is regressing from democratic to theocratic.

I really wouldn’t bother with @Dangermoo - having discussed Gaza with them recently, I don’t think they’re keen to understand the history of Gaza. Or they want to totally ignore the reality of Palestinian people’s lives for the last couple of decades. Either way, don’t waste your energy repeating facts!
