None.

Yet 96 pro Palestinians have been arrested in hate marches in London under anti terrorism law.

I think that is telling in itself

@Samiloffname one other ‘territorial conflict’ which is as disproportionate as this one in terms of one being a global superpower and one being a group of displaced, marginalised people who have been degraded and dehumanised for years?

Do Jews count?

Pollysoftheworld · 20/07/2025 12:37

@Dangermoojust because Jewish people have traditionally been the displaced and marginalised group, it does not make it ok for the Israeli government to do the same today. Plus there was a literal war against Hitler. Yet world leaders today are silent.

I'm not saying that, but you asked for a prime example.

Pollysoftheworld · 20/07/2025 12:49

@Dangermoowe are talking about the present day.

I'm not, to be fair.

Sorry, I meant so am I. Both past and present

Your interpretation of the 'staus' of both sides is ludicrous. Israel has been under attack throughout its history. It is remarkably successful but its not a global superpower.

Pollysoftheworld · 20/07/2025 15:43

@SharonElliswho is Isreal under attack from now, in 2025, who is more advanced in terms of defence, finances, having the support of the US etc. Tell me why Palestine/ Gaza are such a threat to Israel when they have nothing?

I think its fantastic that people aren't being intimidated into silence. I've never seen people so desperate to shut people up for speaking out about mass killings before.

I heard there was a 'counter protest', imagine countering a protest that's speaking out against mass killing and starvation. Pro starvation and pro ethnic cleansing and they think they are the good guys. Clown behaviour.

Well said

"People protesting against a genocide" are not labelled as terrorists. People "protesting" by breaking into MOD property and causing millions of £ of damage to the UK's defence capabilities are. (Causing deliberate damage on that scale is "being violent".)

Protestors carrying placards saying Stop the genocide of Palestinians have been arrested. They were not carrying anything supporting Palestine Action. So it seems despite the world and all charities calling the Israeli actions in Gaza a genocide here in the U.K. it isn’t. Starmer and the police are clearly struggling with our own English language

I have not seen that anywhere. Can you provide evidence?

Thanks. I don’t agree with him being arrested, though I assume "Palestine time to take action" was intended as a sneaky reference to Palestine Action.

According to other papers people at that demonstration were arrested because the words Palestine and Genocide used the same type set that PA use. Police are really stretching it. We are losing all sense of Freedom of Speech.

There's been a protest every weekend for about 2.5 years - who do you think is silencing you?

mids2019 · 22/07/2025 07:15

Palestine time to take action......now what type of action are you considering. Hamas certainly have their ideas of actions and it isn't great for Israelis or Jews.

Removing people from the streets who are hinting towards physical disturbance is a good idea. It also shows anti semitism is being taken seriously and inflamed rhetoric does have real world consequences.

@mids2019you must see the difference between people being against the genocide of a certain group of people and antisemitism. What about all the Jewish people at the protests? You can be a proud Jew and still think Israel’s government are murderers right now. In fact I think Jewish people have more insight into the atrocities and the deception as to what’s going on.

When will this ever sink in? Hamas are antisemitic, a huge number of Palestinians are antisemitic. They don't want jews to be alive. How anyone, who saw the video of Shani Louk's body being paraded as a trophy, can still not believe that. No, westerners aren't necessarily antisemitic but by showing their support for a free Palestine, they are legitimising the eradication of Israel. Liberals poking their noses in, are making a small total of zero difference. It might make them feel better - that's an individual choice. Jewish people are reminded of the price tag that's on their heads, every time there's a march. It's a crude way of putting it but that's exactly what it is, no matter how good the intentions of some protestors are. The Jewish people, who join in, don't represent the whole race. That one gets wheeled out a lot.

DrPrunesqualer · 22/07/2025 11:53

I don’t think we need to be told ‘when will it sink in’. We aren’t the ones not ‘getting it’. The vast majority of demonstrators are against Israeli actions in Gaza and their genocide of the Palestinians.
We don’t give a toss what religion people are.

I’ll say that again
We Really Don’t care what religion are attacking the Palestinians. Nor what religion the Palestinians are.

PhilippaGeorgiou · 22/07/2025 12:45

a huge number of Palestinians are antisemitic

And if that is true, you propose fixing the problem by killing them all? Hatred breeds hatred. That is why Israel and Palestinians are where they are - there is enough hatred to keep the bloodbath going for many more generations. Neither Israel nor Palestine / Gaza are going anywhere - when will that ever sink in? Nobody wins wars - when will that ever sink in?
