How many have been arrested in pro Israel rallies against antisemitism ?

None.

Yet 96 pro Palestinians have been arrested in hate marches in London under anti terrorism law.

I think that is telling in itself

Here we go again…. Hate marches blah blah blah. You know exactly why they were arrested. The law has changed. They were protesting peacefully against this law. They were not doing anything violent or remotely terrorist like.

smallglassbottle · 19/07/2025 22:52

I can't fathom how people protesting against a genocide are labelled as terrorists. As long as they're not being violent. Why are they suddenly terrorists? Can someone explain how it's come to this?

smallglassbottle · 19/07/2025 23:06

Been googling. They were the ones who sprayed the planes at Brize Norton. They've now been lumped in with a Ukranian and Russian ethno nationalist murder groups apparently Confused

Perhaps Brize Norton need to take better care with their security arrangements.

Yes it’s the fault of Brize Norton if their planes suffer criminal damage.

And the fault of Israel if Hamas attack them.

Or perhaps people should take responsibility for their actions and not victim blame.

LipstickLessons · 20/07/2025 00:24

I think its fantastic that people aren't being intimidated into silence. I've never seen people so desperate to shut people up for speaking out about mass killings before.

I heard there was a 'counter protest', imagine countering a protest that's speaking out against mass killing and starvation. Pro starvation and pro ethnic cleansing and they think they are the good guys. Clown behaviour.

It's a military base not Lego World. You can't have people wandering into such places 🙄 they'll be leaving the munitions unlocked next. People do indeed need to take responsibility.

So no complaints if sentries use live ammo?

What is the counter protest actually for?

Because it obviously won't be pro starvation and pro ethnic cleansing.

Maybe you could provide a link to these "counter protests" or do you just mean pro Israel demonstrations?

SharonEllis · 20/07/2025 06:37

The counter protests aren't in favour of mass killing and starvation. Are you listening to what they are saying?

mids2019 · 20/07/2025 06:45

The law is the law and people are aware of it. I think there may be some idealistic young idiot with a future ahead of him possibly waking up with a criminal conviction. No amount of virtue signal bleating is going to convince potential employers to ignore a criminal record especially one that references terror. Let's just stop the marches.

The name PA.....We all know what sort 'action' occurred on October 7th 2023. Good job the group is banned.

Oh I've just read about the counter protests.

Pro-Israel counter-protesters chanted “there is no genocide” at thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators, with one activist shouting: “You use genocide as an excuse for your hatred for the Jewish state.”

They held signs that read “There is no genocide – but there are 50 hostages still captive”, and were met with shouts of “fascist” and “f--- your Jewish state” by some pro-Palestinian protesters.

Lord Walney, the former government extremism adviser, said: “These appalling chants underline the vile anti-Semitism infecting the Gaza marches. For too many, the underlying driver is ugly hatred of the world’s only Jewish state, not justice for the Palestinian people.

A spokesman for the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism said: “These chants just show how thin the veneer is and why they fixate on Israel. The fact is that they hate the idea of a Jewish state existing because they cannot stand the idea of Jews having self-determination.

Twiglets1 · 20/07/2025 07:03

So no the counter protestors were saying nothing about being Pro starvation and pro ethnic cleansing @LipstickLessons

Hardly clown behaviour to remind people that there are 50 hostages still captive.

Or to suggest that some of the protestors will be using what they call genocide and others call a war to excuse their hatred for the Jewish state.

I think "fuck your Jewish state" rather proves that.

mids2019 · 20/07/2025 07:06

the anti Israel - anti Jew message is just under the surface isn't it. Hence why I feel giving the police more powers has helped highlight the anti Semitic nature of these marches. Hopefully people will reflect on how close they come to arrest and prosecution when they lemming like join these protests.

Here you go again twisting things. Palestine Action has nothing to do with Hamas and October 7th.
Palestine Action was established in July 2020 when activists broke into Elbit systems and spray painted the interior.
So 3 years before!!!!

They mostly appear to be idealistic "old" people!

And you are being disinguous. I do not support Palestine Action, and nor do I support the actions of the Israeli government in Palestine, which breaks international law. Being opposed to the actions of the Israeli government does not make me antisemitic, or even close to it. Some people may blur or cross that line for their own reasons, but that does not make any opposition to the murder of Palestinians about antisemitism or support the actions of Hamas.

People are protesting about the banning of Palestine Action because it is a gross misuse of the powers of the British government. They are not terrorists. When we start branding people we disagree with as terrorists and treating them in such a way, then we are on the way to exactly the form of government that terrorises its own people. By all means charge people who commit crimes of vandalism or trespass with those crimes - those are not terrorist offences though, and nor should they be.

Anti israel - quite likely. Anti Jew - not. Have you seen the vile treatment the Jewish Voice for Peace, IJAN and other Jewish groups experience when passing these counter- protesters?? Absolutely disgraceful. I’ve had hands in the shape of a gun shooting at me, throat slitting actions etc. These protesters are simply there to provoke a reaction so that it can be filmed. The number of police officers there is incredible, yet away from them there are fewer police and they are very relaxed and friendly with us.
Oh and please can you explain why these counter protestors played ‘We are the Champions’ full blast on loud speakers yesterday.

Course it's clown behaviour to head out to counter a protest against starvation and ethic cleansing. Arguing about semantics whilst people starve. Seeing emaciated children on the news, children being blown to pieces collecting water and their reaction to that is to hold a sign saying 'there is no genocide'? Like wtf, ah cool thats OK then, let's just ignore the starving children and the plans for camps like you do, its not genocide just attempted ethnic cleansing and forced starvation. These people are driven more to protest against a word than against forced mass displacement and starvation. Like I said clown behaviour.

The protests arent just about ethnic cleansing and starvation and that is not what the counterprotests are about. As you very well know.

Cadenza12 · 20/07/2025 10:35

I think that it's very dangerous to attempt to curb free speech. These people are against genocide and should be able to voice their opinions. This is a very slippery slope.

SharonEllis · 20/07/2025 10:31

Yet the biggest issue of the day for these people is 'it's not genocide', that's what brings them out onto the streers. That's what they get from watching children being killed collecting water, watching desperate people queuing up to be shot at and fed. Not even a 'it's not genocide but it's wrong', just protesting about a word as children starve. What heroes.

They might need to take better care and they will have been hauled over the coals. However, that doesn't negate the utter stupidity to immobilise military aircraft. All these excuses for terrorists, come from the same people, who call Israel terrorists.

BibiSuzanne · 20/07/2025 11:02

@SharonEllisThe protests are currently about the genocide but also The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) protests are also focused on supporting Palestinian human rights and ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. They advocate for the rights of Palestinians to self-determination and return, and they oppose what they see as Israeli violations of international law and human rights.
What is wrong with that? The israeli occupation is illegal under international law. Fact. We have every right to self determination and return. And israel has been violating and ignoring international
law since its inception. Fact.
