I dont know but can I just say I so hope this one sticks. Is this what the cons recommended?

waitingforbedtime · 08/07/2010 17:54

OK so I googled for you and found a thread on here that suggests it CAN delay bleeding BUT the pros far outway the cons.

I hope IM doing the right thing linking this

waitingforbedtime · 08/07/2010 17:54

Didnt mean the IM to be capitalised.

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 08/07/2010 17:57

Well, can i say something that might make you feel a bit better?

I have followed your story for a while (Im sure you dotn remember but Ive posted a few times) and I seriously find you (and your dh) really inspirational and I know you dont want to be inspirational, you just want to have a baby and I dont mean to be patronising but I honestly hope this works out for you and your family, I will be sending you many, many positive vibes. If anyone deserves a wee stroke of luck it is you and if good will gets you anywhere then things are on your side.

I hope that doesnt sound condescending and new agey and crap and unsympathetic. Im crap with words!

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 08/07/2010 18:11

thank you so much, thats lovely. i feel a little disconnected from the whole thing.

lol, its weird isnt it how much this stuff changes things. i was thinking yesterday and trying to imagine seeing a HB on a scan and it made me cry!

OP posts:
mumatron · 08/07/2010 18:59

oh i'm always crying thinking about things. i have mw on monday and i know if she finds hb i will sob.

what are you taking this time? i only had double dose folic acid, 2 aspirin and a heparin shot daily. don't know if i could of coped with more.

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 08/07/2010 19:05

im taking the pessaries (obv) high dose folic acid, low dose asprin, iron supplements and 1/2 a paracetamol to keep temp down. if i get to 6w i will start on heparin shots

OP posts:
TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 08/07/2010 19:06

OP posts:
GoldenGreen · 08/07/2010 19:07

am hoping and hoping that this one sticks for you x

Duritzfan · 08/07/2010 19:11

Hi Lady ..

I am a recurrent mc 'er but this time I took cyclogest, Heparin, aspirin etc from five weeks pregnant - and I am still here at 21 weeks, knickerchecking too !

At my last mc I was taking cyclogest and it didnt stop me miscarrying at twelve weeks

will keep everything crossed for you xxxx

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 08/07/2010 19:13

hi duritz, fab news!! i remember you (tis lissie) did you find any side effects?

OP posts:
mumatron · 08/07/2010 19:14

i started my heparin at 7 weeks, no idea if it has helped or not as the tests never really proved i needed it, but i know that i felt like i was doing as much as poss to help this time.

Duritzfan · 08/07/2010 19:30

Oh Lissie !!

Hiya .. so glad to see you ...
Yep had my 21 week scan yesterday so its looking good for us this time at looong last
Side effects from what ?

Cyclogest gave me really really awful spots - but I struggled through and took it til 12 weeks..
Heparin is just very painful and my tummy looks like a warzone ..But hell if it works its worth it.

I was also advised to take 150mg baby asprin instead of the 75mg - I take 75mg morning and night and will do the whole way through ..
Waht happened - did you ever see the Doc - the specialist ?

Duritzfan · 08/07/2010 19:34

amd meant to say I have taken cyclogest with all my pregnancies ...the difference this time is the aspirin and the Heparin .. This is your first time on Heparin isnt it IIRC ?

I really hope it works for you - x

rainbowdays · 08/07/2010 20:06

tlotgk - hi ya. I am on the cyclogest again this time. Last time I m/c at 11.5 weeks rather than the less than 7 weeks, taking the progesterone, I am sure it meant that I prolonged the pregnancy, even though it was going to be inevitable as it was trisomy 21. I am taking the cyclogest this time again, and it is following the same pattern as last time. So I have made the decision to cut back to half dose until my current supply runs out and then to stop completely. I am measuring two weeks behind on the scan again, and feel very un-pregnant now already. But don't have the nerve to stop suddenly with the progesterone as I know it would induce a m/c whether or not it would be happening naturally..... I know I am thinking weirdly. Anyway I really really hope this combination you are on is the combo that will work for you, and this one is the one that will produce the dream.

Quick hi to all the others here, recognise so many of you!

mumatron · 08/07/2010 20:10
