So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

xx

Playingatmotherhood · 06/04/2010 15:31

Thanks Gi1da. I'm feeling pretty strong after the mc now. Feel pretty lucky that it all happened so easily IYKWIM and that I once again fell pg pretty easily (I already have 1 DS). Could have been far worse, sure they'll be plenty of people on this thread with far more devestating stories. Just impatient to ttc again!

WTF cycle, I like it . I know there is no real way of telling for sure whats going on, I fully expect a wierd cycle or 2 but just wondering if any of you lovely ladies had any idea, as this thread seems like a good place to ask! I suppose I am just hoping that just maybe my body is getting back to normal.

Muser · 06/04/2010 15:53

Big massive congrats to barrenbrook hope it is 3rd time lucky for you.

Freezingmyarseoff · 06/04/2010 15:55

May I join you ladies?

I had a MC on 28th March, and also one back in January. I lurked on this list in January but never quite joined, and then when I had a BFP I joined the graduate list

(waves to Cheepz - hope you're doing ok)

I'm planning a bit of break before TTC again so thought I better join properly and not do everything backwards this time round. so....ermm... hello!

Cheepz · 06/04/2010 16:13

hello freezing glad you have moseyed over and also on break so happy to go through that with you - as much as anyone can be happy to be here. I also had mc in Jan and March (and last August) so seems like you and I are on the same schedule! D'you want to sit on the WTTC list? happy to drop you on next time. Just wanted to extend warmest xxx

randomimposter · 06/04/2010 16:31

oh blimey it's busy on here, am bound to forget someone so apologies in advance. Have been reading but mostly on my phone so no chance to post.

Can't remember who I've already whooopppppppppeeeeed for ref BFP so a massive smacker for all of you, but an extra sloppy one for Barrenbrook, am SOOOOOOOOO chuffed for you. Wishing u-hu prittstik glueyness to you all.

Hi to freezing am so glad you've popped over, and welcome to playing. Am also on WTF (though note the day has gorn a bit skewiff - will re-post in a mo).

Re accupuncture - spookily enough, have my first appt on Thursday. Booked it partly on recommmendation, and partly as I felt I needed to do something positive and tangible. Had acc for the first time when I had horrible carpal tunnel after DS was born, and thought it was brilliant (after many weeks of physio which made little difference, 4 sessions of needles saw it almost back to normal). My best mate used to be a big cheese at NYR and said their accupuncture therapists were always very booked out and deemed successful. Agree with Gi1da though, think you have to actually have sex too.... which reminds me, better start thinking about that again. Oh arsicles...

Been running around like a loon as we are trying to get house ready to go on the market, and getting jobs done with a toddler is interesting.... hence why little time to post.

Must try harder.... Love to you all.

Gilda - When I was pg with dd, we went out for a meal with some friends (bear with me...) I couldn't finish my soup, so my friend finished it for me. I said 'don't catch it', she said 'what' and took a spoonful. I said 'don't catch pregnancy', and she snorted all the soup everywhere. Ah the hilarity...

Feel free to snuggle up and catch it - just keep away from my bowl...

Just a quickie before DD's bath - well done barrenbrook!!! I knew I was right to be excited for you. Great stuff.

Hello to newbies and waves to everyone else

clareanna · 06/04/2010 19:23

Fab news barrenbrook!!! So chuffed for you- that's made my day completely!!!
Doing the snoopy dance around the living eolm with glee!

Gi1da · 06/04/2010 19:44

Littlemiss sorry no idea but sending you lucky sticky vibes.

Unbuffy I'm gonna catch the duffers, I'm gonna catch the duffers...

Clareanna - you have a living eolm? Sounds like something out of Middle Earth!

hippychick66 · 06/04/2010 19:45

Playing If you are ready to try again I would definitely take the ewcm as a great sign. I think i ov'd about 21 days after my eprc so it is defo possible.

My new book - Taking charge of your fertility raves on about egg whites and says you must do it immediately and continue to do it as much as poss when you have them.

I don't want to suggest sex to you if you are still feeling too emotional or raw but if you feel ready then I would say now is a fab time to get to it.

Congrats barrenbrook - I really hope this one sticks around. Try to enjoy it (I know I know....)

Still feeling very positive. I really would recommend Zita West's CD - not only do I have no trouble getting to sleep (fall asleep at same point every night) but she manages to make me feel sub-consciously positive.

If I don't get preg this month I will be very disappointed but I still think it's better to feel positive for the mo and deal with the let down when it comes.

clareanna · 06/04/2010 19:46

Living eolm ? Room!
Ds gone to bed so can pop on for longer...
littlemiss I'm going to be the evil temptress... If you're a day over you could POAS? I never had cramping pre RTD but the last cycle I had 5 days of achy cramps before RTD descended - which as you may recall led me to all sorts of wild imaginings...

playing I had some mid cycle spotting post erpc, quite a few of us have experienced it- can't say for definite what caused it, have you tried checking with an ov stick?

freezing sorry to hear your news and that you've found yourself here IYKWIM

AlbaDeTamble · 06/04/2010 19:47

Yay fertilebrook! And Zayja... And I just saw I'm at day 7 already. Will have to get over my exhaustion after long day at work and get on with trying to join this run of good luck!

clareanna · 06/04/2010 19:49

Gi1da - my pressshhhious....!

Freezingmyarseoff · 06/04/2010 20:17

Thank you for the welcomes. Obviously not that great to be here at all but I feel better for able to share with you.
Next time someone updates the list could you put me on the WTTC list. I couldn't possibly dare to update the list it looks SOOO complicated!

urd · 06/04/2010 20:31

Hello all, still here and checking in regularly, got my dads funeral tomorrow so sorry I can't be on for long. Thinking of you all and so pleased for Barrenbrook and Zayja, thats so fantastic. Will get through this week and will catch up soon.
Take care.

hippychick66 · 06/04/2010 20:48

urd Will be thinking of you tomorrow. It will probably be the most emotional day of your life thus far and I'm welling up just imagining it and remembering my dad's funeral.

Allow yourself to feel every raw emotion and if you need to cry - do it.

You will probably stop and think, "I can't believe that I'm at my dad's funeral!" several times thorughout the day.

It will sink in eventually and you will be able to talk about him and even laugh about stuff you all did together - it just all takes time.

Wish I could give you a real life hug but will have to make do with this one (((()))).

Catch up with you soon Hun.

BunnyBaby · 06/04/2010 22:29

Hello ladies,

Sorry I was missing in hot-cross bun / easter egg action! We had a few days with in-laws and did some jobs round the house too!

BarrenBrook get in girl! Excellent news, I know that this is going to result in a healthy happy baby for you!

Cheepz Slimyak know where you are on the dieting. I've piled on 1.5 stones in the past 12 months. I'm back on weightwatchers as of today (which does work when I'm not eating indian, pizza, chinese and easter eggs and hot cross buns). I can't get the motivation to do alone to easy to follow on-line. I've also enquired to join a Gymophobics which has just opened on the high-street.

I've been following messages, but have missed a few names. I'm not sure who was asking about bleeding after 10 days, and there was another comment on spotting and EWCM. I had this, and although almost the same as a period it was actually breakthrough bleeding. I am usually 28 days and had 31, 10, 21 cycles, which I realised were actually 2x31 days cycles, the 2nd of which had additional bleeding at day 10 which resulted in a CP. Interestingly CP has sorted out my hormones this month, so no spotting (phew).

In the meantime, we're heading for mid-month, and as a result DH is my SWI love slave and doing an excellent job if I may congratulate him myself.

Waves to everyone, and so pleased to see all the BFP's, I'm running along behind you all about to jump on board too.

barrenbrook · 07/04/2010 06:40

Awh, ladies, you made me well up, thank you for your congratulations, it means so, so much coming from you all as you've nursed me through the crap and not so crap bits. It's still hanging in there, so far so good, have passed first milestone of 4 weeks, next one is 6 weeks which was when the bleeding started with my mmc. Am going to make drs appointment today to see if I can get any extra help like Zayja Glad to see you've come out of denial lady! jolls thanks for the sloppy smacker, right back at you

freezing and playing welcome, sorry you are here but as I am sure you have already realised the ladies on here are a fabulous bunch.

urd thinking of you today honey. I hope it's not too tough for you and your family. Much love and hugs from me to help get you through it x

Have a good day, see you all later

littlemiss72 · 07/04/2010 08:04

Morning Girls,

Urd thinking of you today hunni, keep strong. I know how hard these times can be. Losing a loved one is never easy, always remember the good times. x x x

Thanks for all your advice ladies, you seem like a lovely bunch.

I'm feeling pretty good about things now. I not exactly trying this cycle but not actually doing anything to stop it either. I think it would be harder for me to wait for purely dating reasons (I have irregualr cycles anyhow so I'm never easy to date) but I do know it would make things easier. So I'm kinda taking a middle road, giving ourselves a bit of a break, not worring about too much BDing, getting the rest and early nights instead but when we do BD we're not actually stopping getting pg. So I'm not really trying to catch this month but I can't really face using contraception, think emotionally that would be too many steps back for me, I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone. I'm more desperately hoping I've ov'd so I know AF should be on its way in a couple of weeks and then we can get back in the saddle properly.

Clareanna - Nice to know mid-cycle spotting is quite common post mc. I haven't and won't be using ov sticks. I have 32-40 day cycles so with longer and irregular cycles they are notoriously (sp?) unreliable. My EWCM has always been my most accurate ov indicator and my cue to BD like a mad women

Hippychick - good to know that you think you ov'd about the same time that I think I might have ov'd. I have been hanging round MN far too long not to know all about that book (despite never having actually read it) and I credit that philosophy with the reason I have got pg twice very quickly

Barrenbrook - thanks for the welcome and congratulations on the BFP.

Sorry if I missed anyone.

slimyak · 07/04/2010 09:44

Morning all

Bunny Cheepz be strong and take it one day at a time to get that perfect figure - perfect for ruining in dufferdom .

Did a big walk with DD (2.5) at the weekend and it was a bit far for her so DH and I took it in turns to shoulder carry her. She's just over 2 stone and I thought, Christ this is what it would be like being fully duffed from this starting weight - my feet and knees were killing.

Was very good yesterday food wise and did my at home wii fit workout for 40mins and then it told me to sit down and have a rest - I don't need telling twice .

Barrenbrook I'm so pleased for you. I'm liking your small step goals. I think it's a good way to go rather than worry about the 9 month stretch. When I find myself in your position I shall take a leaf out of your book.

Quick question are those of you recently up duffed or otherwise, considering taking baby asprin with your doctors consent of course? I am planning on asking my GP about it as I've had 3 MC and there is the possibility of undiagnosed sticky blood syndrome, I don't get NHS tests as I have DD. I've heard tell of GP's recommending very low doses of asprin as a just in case. Just wondering

HappyGirl1 · 07/04/2010 10:24

Morning Ladies,

Hope you are all doing well this morning.

Urd thinking of you today, you are going through so so much

Barrenbrook - congrats!!! Fab fab fab news!

Well I'm over the two little milestones I had in my mind, the 4 weeks and then the one where it all went wrong last time. I'm six weeks on Friday but I guess I'm ready to go to the Grads list as absolutely scary as that is - just whenever someone gets a chance though.

Feel a bit bad still being on this thread now that I've had a BFP but all of you ladies are just so so nice and so wonderful and have helped so incredibly much I just really want to stay in touch with you all and share your good news to come over the next little while. I'll be reading every day but won't update every day as equally don't want to be getting anyone down cos I know it's tough when someone has a BFP and you are still waiting on one. I really really really hope it works out for all of us. We all deserve it after what we have been through.

Well fingers crossed and here's to a not too stressful next few days while waiting on the 6 week milestone
