So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

xx

Morning all, day 28 and no sign of RTD I did however have a tiny bit of spotting on Saturday night pinkish iyswim

I shall hold out for a couple of days as I certainly don't feel pregnant right now and I've been boob checking for days.. stupidly.

Hope you have all been having a lovely easter full of chocolate and wine! Many thanks moofold for the advice, I did apply and I'm waiting to hear..lot of waiting going on here!

Hello All - g'morning Moofold [waves]

Westyorksgal well done on the medal winning shagathon! I hope you are proudly nomming easter chocolate to keep your reserves up. Have a super break to recuperate, you certainly deserve it!

After a bit of a disagreement over whether to actually try or just see what happens (me TRY dammit I'm bloody 38 now and this is NOT funny anymore, it's taken 4 years for nature to take its course so far FFS, and DH 'oh') we actually managed to SWI 4 times this week which is, well, not normal for us to say the least! When I got pg before (mc) we had only done it the once. What are the chances of it being that simple again eh?
So I have tentatively bought my ticket in this month's baybee lottery and hoping for the best. Sadly I just don't feel like I will get pg again. Can't explain why but have been v depressed as it feels like that was my one baby I lost and I won't get another.

Sorry big me me me ramble today.

Where's Viv? Did the rusty fucker actually arrive or are you still waiting?

Alba hope the cold is easing up. Bugger if you can't taste the chocolate!

Any news Barrenbrook?, Dirtgirl? Tigger it's bloody shite. Sorry it is taking so long for you.

Upduffybuffy waves in case you're having a wander through the thread!

Have added a note of the In Denial BFP's to the list without moving you girls Happy and Zayja officially to the grads. Also stalked noticed Icedlemonmuff was on a another thread with updated stats so have amended here.

Hi all,

Been having a very nice Easter weekend. DH actually managing to have a break from work so felt like a real holiday. Hope sun is shining where you are.

I am defo having a proper period. Won't go into tmi but seems like normal heavyish flow.

Could someone move me on the stats list? (I'm too chicken to do it plus I can't nb how to do hash sign on a Mac...)

I should be under WTTC rather than Stats Pending, I think, becaus we're not actually ttc at the mo -

ElmMum TTC#2 MC 28/02-17/03/10 UCL28/29 cycle 1 CD3

ElmMum · 05/04/2010 13:01

I suppose strictly speaking you only put 'cycle 1' when it's cycles of ttc? But it's quite handy to keep track of how many periods I've gone through since mc so for me, this is cycle 1 post mc.

Does that make sense?

AlbaDeTamble · 05/04/2010 13:07

I don't think shinysideup is missing in action, wasn't she off to NZ for a month? seem to remember a post about needing to join the mile high club in order to get a bfp this month... made me laugh at the time, now waiting to hear if she managed it!

OK - had a quick check back, end of the last thread -- she should be on day 15 or thereabouts now.

I think cinnamonswirl is MIA though a couple of chirpy posts, added stats and then disappeared methinks we scared her off. Just occasionally I wonder if newbies stumble on our thread not knowing the acronyms and don't realise that we're post miscarriage (some days we're really quite lighthearted) and then a dark day comes along and they realise what the MC stands for and run a mile.

Right, must go - supposed to be working and this post has taken ages so no doubt crossed with lots of you....

Happy fertile healthy eggs to all!

liahgen66 · 05/04/2010 14:30

Hi all,

Sorry have been away for a while. Think I cingratulated buffy before I asconded but if not. cngratulations buffy

Me? Day 25 and BFN yesterday with fr so am well and truly pissed right off. TBH am really upset and was very tearful and depressed yesterday, tis cycle 2 since mmc now and really thought it would be ok. No chance of 2010 baby now. Next year just seems such a long way away.

RTD not arrived yet, due tomorrow and no signs yet, no aches or anything, maybe it'll be a longer cycle, I don't bloody know.

Sorry for whinging, good luck anyone due to test or waiting on anything exciting.

hippychick66 · 05/04/2010 14:49

Hi all. I haven't been on for a while. Sorry, I just find it too hard - everytime a new person arrives I'm reminded of those awful raw days straight after we lost the baby. So i haven't been able to keep up much. I just wanted to say hello to anyone new (and as usual sorry you're here.) There are some wonderful ladies on this thread who will help you through these awful days and weeks.

On a more positive note I just wanted to tell you all that I bought Toni Weschler's book. Taking charge of your fetility. I am obviously not endorsing a product cos that would be wrong but I do want to tell you all that it is fab. If you get a chance to beg or borrow a copy (notice i missed out steal), then I would say it is definitely worth a look.

This month i learnt that I ovulated earlier than i thought I would. Had i not read the book I would have been SWI about 2 days after I had ovulated. Obviously I might have done some plain old shagging for fun at the right time but I do feel that we gave it a much better go because of what i learnt. Also I had some spotting around ovulation which I thought meant my cycle was all cocked up thanks to the MC but fortunately the book explained that it was actually a secondary sign of ovulation and all was ok.

It is a very thick book, so if you take one look at it and think, "Sod that Hippy, I'm not reading all that!"

Then all I will say is this - as soon as you get egg whites, go for it. i got them straight after my period and previously would have thought it was far too early and would have assumed that egg whites come and go. But having read the book i knew it meant I needed to get on with SWI despite the earlier date.

Sorry for the long rant. I just feel like i know my cycle so much better having read the book and I wanted to share it with others.

A Happy Easter to all and big hugs to those who are feeling incredibly sad today . It does get a bit better - I promise.

Sorry Lia, I hadn't read your post when I put my long waffle on. Sorry you are feeling down. Hope that BFP is coming next month.

Yes next year does seem a long way off but once we get preg and get past the first really scary bit we'll have loads to take our mind of the wait.

You've got preg straight after a MC before - you can do it again hon. xx

hippychick66 · 05/04/2010 16:03

Lia day 25 is still quite early. Don't give up on this month yet.

liahgen66 · 05/04/2010 17:47

thanks hippy my cycle is usually 26 days so day 25 should be reliable either way. Not to worry, am bit more resigned today than yesterday.

I would like to read that book, a friend offered it to me couple years ago, didn't think i'd need it then.

Just started to feel as if i'm gonna come on now so just wait for tomorrow. Thank god shops are closed early cos got that stupid overwhelming feeling about an hour ago that I simply must test.

I need an interest.

Moofold · 05/04/2010 17:53

Hippy I think I need your book. After giving Elm advice on the brown bloodish stuff encountered after ERPC I have just had some and am now producing eggwhites right out of the blue. Its far too early, I've never ov'd before day 18 and the CBFM says low fertility. So what the hell is all that about? Sometimes I get really fed up scrutinizing my every bodily function like this - then not being able to make any sense of it.

G1lda and Liah try not to get too down in the dumps. We've all been pg before and will be there again. After experiencing my first TWW since miscarriage (coupled with my delusional symptoms) I know its completely disheartening when RTD approaches - especially when you know you have done everything right. Keep your chin up both.

Alba I've caught your cold, feeling miserable. Actually glad to be in low fertility mode because I can't think of anything worse than SWI at the moment. Jammies, pizza and wine for me tonight.

Muser · 05/04/2010 18:13

Hello everyone. I've been a bit quiet as there's not much to say when you're waiting. Period came and went. Had a pretty hard Easter as was with my in-laws and my other sil is now pregnant. So much happiness and excitement and, while I'm happy for them, it did reignite those feelings of loss.

In-laws were lovely though. My aunt and mil made a point of telling me how sorry they were and that they didn't want me to think I'd been forgotten and they just didn't know what to say as nothing could make it better. And my sil was so nervous when she told me so I feel guilty for not feeling happier.

Gi1da · 05/04/2010 19:51

Hi Muser sounds like you have a really fabulous family in law. Bet they'll be chuffed to bits when it's your turn again. I know it's still a bugger though.

I think the no baby situation offends the British Queue gene. In the same way I start to grumble when a whole stream of cars will not let me out of a side road, when a new till opens at a checkout and someone behind jumps over to it, and when someone new gets updufferentiated, I just want to yell OI! I WAS HERE FIRST!!!

Taking note of egg white tip thanks Hippy. Must inspect more often! I'm such a novice I've just been going by the mnet ov calendar. I guess as I slowly start going mental over the coming months I will start to be a bit more aware of what's going on in my ladybits. Oh so much to learn.

Moofold thanks for the chinny.

Pollyanna · 05/04/2010 20:16

Oh Liah, I know how you feel - I was sure I was pg this month too (and did have a positive pg test) and then rtd came anyway. for some reason I thought it would happen quickly for me too and all I can think about is that the gap will be huge between ds2 and the next one and my 40th birthday looming...

then again I have never tested positive early so perhaps it will just be a bit later for you this month.

hippy I have that book too - I think it is really good.

liahgen66 · 05/04/2010 20:23

snatches Gi!lda's hand off takes chocolate bunny gratefully.

Thanks for that, very well received. I don't really symptom check either, can't keep track of it all tbh, just try and have sex every other day from end period to about week before it due again, gets very very boring uninventive after a while, as I'm sure we all know.

polly sorry to hear that, a very very early mc. I hate the term chemical pregnancy, it's still a mc however early. Take it easy.

I am 43 now and feeling very old at the moment due to all this. Got docs Weds to see how the sticky blood test thingy came back. See what he's got to say, was kind of hoping I wouldn't need appt but hey ho.

VivClicquot · 05/04/2010 20:56

Hey x

So I've had a bit of a rollercoaster weekend and am still not fully sure what the heck is going on.

Quick precis: according to the OPKs and CBFM, my period was due on either Sat or Sun. Got my usual pre-AF browny/pinky cm on Friday morning like clockwork, which prompted my minor hissy fit. Saturday comes. Nothing other than a small amount of pink cm. Sunday comes. Nothing.

This is odd - although my cycles have been a little bit irregular since losing Gracie, I know from using the ovulation predictors that I ALWAYS get AF exactly 14 days after ovulation. Had a sleepless night last night thinking that this could be it.

Get up this morning. Still nothing. Mind going into overdrive. Then had a touch of spotting this afternoon which now looks like it's getting 'clottier' but still isn't what I would call a 'flow' (although I've re-set the CBFM to CD 1). Have been at my parents all weekend so haven't done a pg test.

To be honest - am scared of doing one as I suspect AF is on its way, but can't help but wonder whether the delay is because it's a chemical pregnancy.

Either way, a disappointing end to what started to be a very hopeful weekend.

Anyway, hope you're all okay and having a restful night. Sorry for being a bit self-indulgent - will do a full namecheck tomorrow, but in the meantime, am off to watch The Pacific on Sky Movies.

Love to all xxx

There are SEVEN easter eggs in my house - arrrggh
please take them away!

tigger what a shite time you're having - just wanted to send you a hug

Lia - good to hear from you again, but sorry you're having a tough time. it's such a rollercoaster - the emotions we go through each cycle are ery stressful - I hope to try to be more relaxed this time round, but it sort of creeps up and sucker punches you every now and again with how bloody unfair it is.
hope all goes well at the docs, and you get some reassuring answers.

hippy you can now be official EWCM monitor - I have been very confused by the whole this as not a whiff of anything remotely egglike since my MMC I don't think! Hence my new friend my CBFM - it's very nice, get to POAS every morning at the mo - happy days, should cure any early testing madness I get up to this cycle (based on last cycle this is highly unlikely, but I'm in positive mode at the mo)

muser well done for holding it together. It can be really tough putting on a happy face, so hope you are OK tonight.

polly sorry to hear your news - hope you are feeling OK x

will burn the broccoli so sorry haven't got longer to name check

All fine here - had a good birthday - except for fact that lovely DH nought me personal training sessions - that I hadn't asked for - there's a hint if ever I saw one! To be fair I had been moaning about not finding time to exercise and feeling generally crap and my DH loves to find a solution god love him. Happily the personal trainer is rather fit and aged 28 so at least there'll be some eye candy while I'm working up an unattractive sweat. DH also discovered my hidden CBFM and was rather alarmed! I think his words were "oh god, has it come to this?!" explained that I was only using it to try to see if everything was getting back to normal, and then did some SWOI to reassure him I wasn't going military about things (!!)

clareanna · 05/04/2010 21:14

viv crossed posts- sorry to hear you've had a difficult weekend - maybe best not to test and wait and see what happens over the next few days? Take care- x
