I look like I am pregnant???

Hello

I was on here last month because I suspected I might be pregnant, I had all the symptoms. I got some early detection tests and tested a couple of days before I was due but got BFN, then my period came but was so light and at points actually stopped. I really thought I was pregnant and tested after I finished but still BFN. Anyway I forgot all about it and I have continued as normal, was out at the weekend and got very very drunk. Today I put on a tight vest that I only wore the other week and was suprised at the shape of my stomach. It is sticking out alot more than normal, high and and round and quite firm. I said nothing and waited to see if my partner noticed and straight away when I walked in the room , he was like "Look at your stomach, I hope your not pregnant with all that alcohol you drank on Saturday"...

I have heard storied about people doing lots of tests and getting BFN for a couple of months. If I am pregnant it would mean that I am about 6.5 weeks approx - would I show this early wit a second pregnancy? I mean my stomach is not massive but I am quite slim, if I had just put some weight on surely it would go around my hips, bum, face etc...not just cause a high tight bump - what do you reckon? Shall I test or sit tight and wait for next period whaich is not due until the end of next week? Also last week I broke out in lots of spots which I only normally get the week before I am due.

water retention??

mandyc66 · 18/07/2005 21:41

oh this is a hard one!! If you can bare to wait then do. Sometimes negatives are shown if hormone is not strong and you can bleed whilst pregnant! Any other symptoms? sore boons etc?

lovecloud · 18/07/2005 21:41

hello - what cause that and how do you treat it?

OP posts:
chicagomum · 18/07/2005 21:43

if you are pregnant then you're more likely to get a positve result this time because although you're only due next week, as you said you could well be at least 6 weeks gone already, it won't do any harm to do a test now and if it's still neg retry next week

tiredemma · 18/07/2005 21:43

I get water retention (bloated belly) about a week before im due on, nothing i can do about it, just a sign that im about to come on. Are you ttc?

lovecloud · 18/07/2005 21:43

my boobs have tingled but then that is nothing new, I am one of those very unlucky people whose small breasts stay the same size the whole way through pregnancy except for a big back My breasts never felty tender the whole way through my first pregnancy, I have read alot about breasts becoming super sensitive and sore but not me. My little nips must be too small t have even nerve endings

my boobs tingling was the very first sign that i knew i was pregnant, why dont you do a pg test and put your mind at rest?

mandyc66 · 18/07/2005 21:45

lol...lucky u..mine got bigger with each one and stayed there..imagine what I look like noe I have had 5!!!!!

lovecloud · 18/07/2005 21:46

hello

we are going to ttc soon but if i am now then we would be delighted. We both just wanted to spend some time getting more heaalthy and fit as we have both been slobs lately.

wish i did not use all those tests i got from ebay, think my paypal account is empty so i will have to fork out on a shop jobbie.

i know i will test, i really can not beleive how much money i have spent on tests since last year...

i hate seeing no line appear I am always so sure, my body tricks me everytime

i think i have actually made myself beleive that i was pregnant many times.

lovecloud · 18/07/2005 21:50

Also, what about the spots? Have any of you experienced a breakout, hormonal maybe when finding out you were pregnant?

chicagomum · 18/07/2005 21:52

mandyc66 · 18/07/2005 21:52

not noticed spots no

lovecloud · 18/07/2005 22:06

well i hope i am pregnant or i will have to do some serious tummy exercises, tummy sticking out more than boobs is not a good luck unless you are pregnant!

hi lovecloud

i'm in the same situation as you. I have got a hard round bump that has appeared out of no-where. i have been ttc but if i am pg i would only be 2-3 weeks. I've never been like this before. Surely its too early to be showing

mandyc66 · 18/07/2005 22:27

well I think I show the morning after the deed is done!!!!

lovecloud · 19/07/2005 14:27

Hello

Still look like i am and now i feel bit sicky - could be psychological

I am going to give in... again and go out and buy a test.

If i am then I will be estatic but will worry about the booze I have consumed plus the child would of been conceived the exact same time as my first child which is why we planned a later conception so birthdays would at least not have to be shared

If I am not then I need to get my lazy big ass down the gym and work this bump off. its not a good look

wish me luck and sprinkle me with heaps of baby making fairy dust

Shared birthday parties are fab - DSs are 2 years and 6 days apart and it's been excellent

Good luck

lovecloud · 19/07/2005 14:40

i guess there are benefits - get it all done in one go! just always have to remember there are equal amounts of friends

BFN???

Got a cheap Superdrug £5 jobbie!

What is going on, my tummy is hard, round, high and looks like a pregnant tummy and I feel a bit queasy. Lately smells have been making me feel sick. I am confused, I was so sure and I still am. Could it be that the test did just not detect anything???

I would be about 6 weeks, is it quite common to not detect at 6 weeks?

I really dont want to diet - i love my food. this big bump has to be a baby... or wind!

Please God - make it be a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bum!

I always put my faith in Clear Blue with DSs. Try an expensive one like First Response in a week maybe? When's your next period due?

chicagomum · 19/07/2005 17:13

why not make an appointment with gp and get them to do a blood test, you need to find out one way or another partic if your going to diet/hit the gym (and to preserve your sanity )
