I have just started my first 2ww, expecting af on the 29th so going to try to wait til then to test.
Anyone testing around then want to share symtoms and help with my plan to not test til then?

I'm starting to get a bit pessimistic now. Despite what I thought before, I still have slight sporting/discharge, which is now normal for before AF. So can't work out if it was just AF starting really early, or an implantation bleed going on for almost 3 days now. Grr, I don't like not knowing

AutomatedAlice · 26/01/2010 16:57

Pah. Well, I've got some major spotting so it looks like my period is def on its way. My cycles are just getting shorter and shorter, I'm only on CD25. Grrr.

Anyway, good luck all, I'll be checking up to see if you get any BFPs, but for now, this is AutomatedAlice, signing off

digitalgirl · 26/01/2010 17:16

oh automatedalice maybe see you on the next 2ww.

lucielooo · 26/01/2010 17:33

Sorry to hear that AutomatedAlice.. fingers crossed for next month.

Well I have major PMT
grumpiness/distraction/clumsiness which is usually a sign AF is coming

jennimoo · 26/01/2010 18:37

I'm afraid a tested again this morning at 12dpo and got a faint line! Have used CB digital tonight and have got a BFP!
Sorry I gave in and tested but am glad I know, and even if it doesn't stick I know things are at least working to that stage!

Fantastic news jennimoo! congratulations!!!

I'm still holding out to test on Saturday if AF doesn't show up before then. For the last few days I've been getting cramping, kinda like a stitch in my lower abdomen, not sure if it's usual pre AF symptoms or not?!!

Sorry to hear about the arrival of AF for some of you.

Jennyrosity · 26/01/2010 23:49

I've been nauseous on and off all day, plus have been needing to pee more often than normal....

....I'm telling myself it's all psychological to try and ward off the crushing disappointment if I'm not!

lucielooo · 27/01/2010 10:00

Congratulations jennimoo.. fab news!

digitalgirl · 27/01/2010 10:51

jennimoo I posted my congrats on the oct bus thread. Good luck!

Right, think I seriously mistimed ovulation. I think all the CM last week was me being fertile. Even though it wasn't EW. I think the major cramping on Saturday was me actually ovulating. DH did a couple of late nights so we only had sex once last week, on Thursday night.

So chances aren't great. BUT hopefully it was only about 36-48 hours before an egg was released. So there is hope.

Going by this new theory am not due my period till the weekend after this. Another 2ww.

So no point in testing this weekend if I'm right and there's no AF tomorrow. Will try and forget about it all this week (yeah right).

lucielooo · 27/01/2010 11:00

Only takes the one time so you never know!

Saying that, am going to step up the action next month and see if we can manage every other day (nowhere near that now, poor DH) Trouble is between working full time, running my own (admittedly small) business and being in my 3rd year of a part time degree I'm too knackered by the end of the day a lot of the time!

But if I can't make the time to make a baby how on earth would I find the time to look after him/her. Time to prioritise!

MrsTriangle · 27/01/2010 12:53

Please can I join too??? I am beside myself wanting to know if I'm pregnant or not and I'm due on saturday. We have 2 DC and I've just had 2 MC's (1MMC in Nov at 11 weeks and one at 5 weeks last cycle). I had to talk DH in to no.3, so I'm a bit nervous that if it takes too long, he'll change his mind!

I've been testing using some eBay early pregnancy tests that are meant to detect levels of 10miu and up - all BFN and I'm cd25 today, so not looking good

Has anyone else used them?

I feel so pregnant it's not true but it could be my hormones just flying all over the place from all the pregnancies in a short space of time.

Howhardcanitbe · 27/01/2010 14:33

Well AF seems to be putting in an appearance so looks like I'm out for this month

Looking on the bright side, at least it means I can enjoy my night out on Saturday and have a few drinks

Good luck everyone else

kbear79 · 27/01/2010 19:48

Hi
Mrs Triangle: I'm ttc#2 and am on cycle 2. AF due Sat. I cracked and did a cheap 10miu test yday when i was 10po, i ov on day 16, and got a BFN. I think it varies as to how early you can get a BFP with them. I read all the reviews for the ultra sensitive tests and some said that they only got BFP a couple days before AF or on the day it was due. Suppose everyone is different.
I'm trying to hold out til Fri, so fingers crossed
Good luck!

digitalgirl · 27/01/2010 21:37

lucielooo your own business and doing a degree! Wow, am impressed. Are you ttc#1? Juggling work and family is just something you find ways to cope with and perhaps it's easier owning your own business in that you can be flexible. But surely if you get PG now you'll have your degree before the lo is born?

welcome MrsTriangle sorry to hear you've had two mcs in a row. Must be very difficult dealing with all the emotions. I had a mc in Nov too, it could well have been a mmc as I hadn't had a period for 11 weeks but the sac only measured 5 weeks. Thankfully I'd only found out I was pregnant two days before I started bleeding, so not too long to get used it.

sorry to see you go howhardcanitbe good luck for the next cycle

Awaiting to see if my totally made up theory about ovulating later is thrown in the bin (next to the bfns) with the arrival of my period tomorrow. Can you see these straws I'm clutching at?

Pidgin · 28/01/2010 07:21

good morning to all, just to say AF appeared this morning as expected ... ah well, better luck next month!

Jennimoo I put my congrats on the other thread too, hope all's going well.

see you all on the next 2ww...

MrsTriangle · 28/01/2010 11:57

DG - any AF appearances today?

Pidgin - sorry to hear that but after today, you can start to look forward to the next cycle .

Congratulations Jemminoo!

I have a bit of a tummy bug today

lucielooo · 28/01/2010 12:31

digitalgirl Well, my own business is a very new venture but I work full time as well - The master plan is that it gets up and going so I don't have to return to full time work if when we have a baby. Especially as me and DH both have over an hours commute to and from work - Not gonna happen with kids!! Been doing the degree part time since 2007 but got another 2 years to go - No children of my own yet (have two steps boys but just at weekends) I reckon we'll cope anyway, DH is very good so helps out with things that I don't get time to (like cleaning )

Good luck to anyone still waiting for any sign of AF... and to those she's already visited. I think I can feel her coming.

AutomatedAlice · 28/01/2010 16:10

um, hello again

ok if I pop back in here? The spotting stopped, and no sign of AF. I was so sure it was on the way, and now I'm all confused. Annoyingly, we're away for a few days and I was so sure AF was coming I left my cheapy ebay tests at home. So I just spent 5 mins staring at the expensive tests in Boots. Decided against at the time, but I'm now regretting it. Ah well, AF is still likely to turn up over the weekend, and if it doesn't it'll do me good to have to wait to test until we get home on Sunday.

Only thing is, we're here for a big do on Saturday night and if I'm still waiting, I won't know whether I can booze it up or not! Perhaps I should go buy a test after all...

lucielooo · 28/01/2010 16:20

Welcome back AA!

What a toughy. The trouble is with testing is that even if it is a BFN, would you still not drink? I tend to think that until AF arrives I'm still in with a shout.

I'm guessing that wasn't too much help

AutomatedAlice · 28/01/2010 16:40

Well, to be blunt, the last time we had sex was on CD13, so if I ovulated around then or earlier, which I think I did, by Saturday I'd be at least 17dpo. So either I'm pregnant and it'll show up as BFP, or I ovulated later and I have no chance of being pregnant. So in this case a BFN would be fairly certain. Hmm, I'm talking myself into buying tests here.

lucielooo · 28/01/2010 17:11

Good rationalisation. I think you should buy a test. Can't you get the single, own brands ones fairly cheaply? (still not cheap, buy y'know, not the price of a meal like some are)

decafgirl · 28/01/2010 17:35

Hi ladies, I just bought two tests for £3.50 in tesco and got a BFN. Am really gutted. I swear I'm pregnant. Gutted I cracked. Gutted with the result.

AutomatedAlice · 28/01/2010 17:43

Sorry to hear that decafgirl. How many days past ovulation are you? Could be just a bit too early still?

decafgirl · 28/01/2010 17:47

I think I'm 13... it would've shown up if I was pg wouldn't it? Trying to convince myself it could be wrong for all sorts of reasons. I've still got abdom pains, sore boobs and sickness...

AutomatedAlice · 28/01/2010 17:50

I think even the early tests say it's still not 100% until your period is due. Try again in a couple of days if AF is a no show.
