I have just started my first 2ww, expecting af on the 29th so going to try to wait til then to test.

Hi jenni , my AF is due around the 30th, so, if she's a no show, I'll be testing around then. I'll also be trying not to test early Good luck

Pidgin · 18/01/2010 08:24

I'll join! AF due for me some time between 28-30th Dec and I have promised myself - this is my first two week wait too - not to test until 30th. We shall see. I ovulated a day or two early this month and my luteal phase varies (usually around 12 days) so I'm not quite sure when to expect AF. I usually start spotting a couple of days in advance though, so I expect that will turn up as normal and I'll know not to bother testing. Good luck to you both getting through the next ten days!

Nanny01 · 18/01/2010 09:05

Hi
I think I can test between the 22nd which (28 days) to the 26th( which would be 32 days the latest my cycle has been. Saying that this is my first cycle since stopping the pill. I do have a test coming with the shopping so I don't have to run the gauntlet with nosey locals at the local chemist lol. If I get a positive I will be due right at the end on September which would be perfect for our family as we already have birthdays in November and December.

Pidgin · 20/01/2010 07:42

how is the wait going for everyone? I'm 5DPO and found myself googling 'very early pregnancy symptoms' last night - that way madness lies! I ended up convinced I had most of them (especially irritability )...

hope you're all doing well, only a week to go (nearly)!

Nanny01 · 20/01/2010 12:19

Hi
Sadly af arrieved felt a little tense yesterday, now have tummy craps so put the test away. Oh well knew it would be unlikely as it was my first cycle.

digitalgirl · 20/01/2010 15:35

Hi ladies, ttc#2, tentatively joining as am not sure if I'm in the 2ww or not. Cycles all over the place since mc in nov.

I suspect I ovulated about a week ago but might have been the weekend (possibly still to come so continuing to have regular sex just in case). Am contemplating testing on the 31st as should have started spotting a few days before then if period is due.

No real symptoms at the moment other than the usual post ov cramping, spots, big hair and the occasional boob twinge. Nothing that can't be attributed to regular hormonal changes.

Sorry you're back to cd1 Nanny - Good luck to everyone else!

digitalgirl · 20/01/2010 15:42

And definitely keep me away from the crappy sainsbury's own brand hpt I have stashed in my drawer at home. At least until I get a 'real' symptom.

Totallyfloaty35 · 20/01/2010 16:20

Hi all currently ttc number 4,cycle a bit haywire since my endomitriosis op so think i can test on the 4th but not that sure.

decafgirl · 20/01/2010 21:53

Me!! Testing on the 28th at the earliest!

digitalgirl · 20/01/2010 22:13

waves at decafgirl from October bus

FFS have actually just googled early pregnancy symptoms. Like they've changed since ttc ds. I am a twat. Somebody slap me. I have effectively jinxed myself for this cycle for overthinking it.

claireinthecommunity · 20/01/2010 22:28

Hi all, no real news from me, just waiting I suppose...And no, I'm not googling PG symptoms at all

Sorry to hear AF came for you Nanny.

jennimoo · 22/01/2010 21:49

I can't believe I started this thread then tested today, 8dpo! I was getting really stressed out and suffer quite bad with anxiety so decided to go for it as knew it would be a BFN. Did feel a little calmer afterwards!

Its hard to resist though isnt it.With DD3 i tested 11dpo and got a very very faint line(but i had been testing since 7dpo )

digitalgirl · 22/01/2010 22:31

jennimoo wrist slap for you! Waaaay too early for testing.

I am a bit nervous about testing. Have had two bfn's over the last cycle and they put me in an awful mood. So am sticking with next Sunday. Just over a week to go.

claireinthecommunity · 23/01/2010 00:00

I'm going to try and resist testing like digitalgirl.

Lol at the veeerrryyy early testing jennimoo.

A faint line at 11dpo Totallyfloaty, you know you're only giving us ideas now don't you?!!

millymoo1234 · 23/01/2010 00:50

I'll join, i'll join!
This is the first month that we moved up from 'just not using contraception' to using a kit to work out ovulation time, so obviously I am now totally convinced I'm pregnant! I've been getting a funny crampy tingly feeling for about a week now - but Iso know it's all psychological. I'm soooooooo tempted to test this weekend, but really trying to hold out because I'm not 14days PO till Wednesday 27th and those darn tests are so expensive...
I've done the whole googling early pregnancy symptoms - THANKYOU for letting me know I was not the only one!
Let's be strong together.

jennimoo · 23/01/2010 06:56

I knew that the test would be negative, and was only. Cheap strip not an expensive test.
My other excuse is we were waiting to hear if the house we made an offer on was ours too, but that turned out to be a BFN! Took a week for them to turn the offer down, at least HPTs only take a few mins!

xxx

AutomatedAlice · 23/01/2010 14:57

hallo all, I'm due around the same time. I've been feeling a bit crampy and 'full' for a couple of days now, but like you millymoo I know it's all psychological.

The problem with ebay cheapies is that when they're only 25p each, it's very easy to talk yourself into testing early, then you feel all stupid afterwards for not waiting for your period to arrive, probably the very next day.

So, I'll be using all you lot to back up my willpower to not test

digitalgirl · 23/01/2010 17:44

Hello automatedalice are you a jeff noon fan? You are quite right about internet cheapies, I only ever bought one pack when ttc#1 and frittered them away on a super long cycle which ended in 5bfns. Much better to wait till you're actually late (hoping I actually follow my own advice).

Sorry your house offer got rejected jennimoo, a better one will come along and you'll be glad you didn't get this one (nearly always works out that way).

Am categorically NOT going to test tomorrow ESPECIALLY because af feels imminent.

chim000 · 23/01/2010 21:34

Hi, I'm on 1st 2ww since coming off the pill. Am temping & using OPK's. Think I ov'd on cd18, so I'm 3dpo, although temp chart has me ov at cd13, but I know that's wrong, so not too sure when to test. My cycles used to be 28-35 days, alternating between shorter and longer each month, so if a 28 day cycle, then af due 30th.

It's so confusing, I've never properly ttc'd. Am ttc for no.3, will be dp's 1st. With ds1, xp & I just didn't use contraception (took a year) and ds2 I did the same thing for about 2 years, then on 1st month using OPK I fell pregnant.

AutomatedAlice · 24/01/2010 14:27

digitalgirl yes I was in the dim and distant past Haven't read much of his recently though. Loved Vurt when I was a teenager.

Well, my boob (singular!) (not that I only have one, mind) has been hurting loads since yesterday so I took a test this morning. No will power at all, and you lot clearly aren't helping . Anyway, twas BFN.

And, have also had a serious case of the pre-menstrual crazies today so I guess my period's on its way. Harrumph.

loopylou2 · 24/01/2010 14:46

HI ladies... what does 2 ww stand for? xx

AutomatedAlice · 24/01/2010 15:27

Hi Lopylou, it stands for 2 week wait - the two weeks between ovulation and when your period is due, i.e. when you can test. It's quite a fraught time!

jennimoo · 24/01/2010 15:28

2ww = 2 week wait. The time between ovulating and your period being due when you may obsessively look for symptoms you're pregnant already!
