Moon that's great news! There is nothing like planning a wedding to generate sods law & you'll be waddling down the aisle while your guests will be holding clean towels & bowls of hot water just in case! Your long cycles must be totally doing your head in. Have you had any symptoms at all?

Neeko · 28/12/2009 21:02

MLS I have just emailed you. I'm off to check back now to see what all the smiles are about.

Neeko · 28/12/2009 21:24

Oh Happy Days!

Moon Congratulations!
So pleased for you (and secretly hoping you're getting a BFP to match that sparkler)Ca we have a pic of the ring please? Engagement rings make me feel warm and fuzzy, they symbolise such hope and happiness.

Speaking of hope and happiness, Blue it's lovely to have you back. I've had to hide my phone to stop me from invading your babymoon with texts from all the girls passing on their congrats. Your boys are gorgeous and now you really will be BF when the new series of GA comes on Like MLS says I'd just started lurking in your weebly wobbly 1st trimester days and there's such a sense of fulfilment in seeing the pics of Benjamin. Congratulations again. I take it once he was born there was no more mention of the irregular beat?

4ever Lovely to read of your bump talk and believing. I think your supposed to be a bigpanter now but still on the mediumpants list. You'd better brace yourself for moving though because I think we're in for a bumper crop of BFPs this month. I'll be holding your hand on Wed.

MLS how are you today? What's so exciting about Eastenders?

Jools hope you're feling better. Sending you some medicinal alcohol.

Curly how were the sales? Did you buy anything for Curlygirl? My Wriggler got a few Christmas presents which made me a bit misty eyed and not as scared as I thought.

Cupake Glad to hear you're having quality family time. Hope you're being spoiled silly.

Mermaid How're you feeling today?

We had a family dinner at my parents house tonight which was lovely. After dinner my mum was putting on random DVDs including the one of DD minutes after she was born. really made me melt. Can't believe I'm going to have a newborn again in 12-14 weeks though judging by my stomach, the skin might split by then

BlueMoon1981 · 28/12/2009 21:33

mls i am also hoping the law of sod will apply! nope, no real symptoms apart from i do seem to have had a lot of cramping, but i have very good skin at the moment and pre bfp i always have terrible skin so i dont think i am...

neeko i will attempt to put up a pic of my ring - i knew there was a reason i took a photo - dp or is he df now (?) laughed when he saw id taken a pic of my own hand

BlueMoon1981 · 28/12/2009 21:37

i think i have put up a pic? its a bit small though but you get the general idea

Neeko · 28/12/2009 21:42

Aww Moon your ring is gorgeous and has made me feel all glowy.
I loved just wearing an engagement ring - it never looked as good after I added my wedding band

( Remember every pg is different so the lack of symptoms might not necessarily mean anything - drink some champagne while you can!)

Do you have a date in mind for the wedding?

BlueMoon1981 · 28/12/2009 21:50

well i am keeping my head in the sand for a little while longer yet, i've done a good job this month because i only counted my cd yesterday out of curiosity and was a bit i'm not even thinking about it until another week, i'm not having my body trick me again, oh no!

i love my ring sooo much, dp did a great job me thinks no dates in mind as yet, we have no money so it will be a good few years away unless we win the lottery! its a lovely end to truly crap year and i cant stop smiling

Neeko · 28/12/2009 21:54

So lovely to hear you all smiley and happy. Your DP/F sounds lovely and clearly knew this was the positive end to the year that you needed. Enjoy your gorgeous sparkler and do everything with your left hand so everyone notces how gorgeous it is! Congrats again.

anniebigpants · 28/12/2009 22:34

If i ever ever mention that 3 children would be a good idea please can someone slap me with a soggy wet fish? My gosh this week has been so hard and there is still another two to go i seem to have very little patience and im starting to worry slightly about my parenting skills....

I hope you all had a good few days off with your love ones? buddha blue and moon all caused my mascara to leave black marks all the way down my face and onto my ample clevage...i cant stop crying in happiness for you all...beautiful baby pics from the two new mummies, hard to believe that in about 7 weeks i could be posting my own!

moon i shouted in delight at your news...the chocolate lab looked at me like i had lost the plot! Your ring is gorgeous...the planning of the wedding is the best part so start keeping a scrap book of all your idea's from now, doesnt matter if its still years away, the fun can begin as soon as you want it too! I am also betting that your lo will make a cute flower girl!

My doctor has told me she wont be here for the birth and im being handed over to someone else next week @34 weeks.....im in the middle of writting my birth plan....im driving around with the new car seat in the back of the barbiemobile and freaking out every time i catch a glimpse of it! ....and dh and i are struggling big time for boys names, i might ask for your help a little later in the week, i knew we shouldnt of told dh mum who poo pooed the idea

VJay · 29/12/2009 11:22

mm sending you heaps of love for tomorrow, will be thinking of you and can't wait to hear what you have

blue gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, that's all I can say I felt so emotional and proud when I read your post, daft isn't it, but a proud cyber aunt I am

moon huge congrats on your engagement, can't wait to hear all about your preparations.

barbie you will make a wonderful mother I'm sure, it's different with your own kids you'll have all the patience in the world.

Right off to do some ironing , while ds1 plays in the snow, we had another 3 inches last night

OP posts:
ChristmasCupcake · 29/12/2009 12:03

Hi barbie good to hear from you I sympathise about the patience thing! I have been so irritable this holiday and having little patience with my family, let alone little children so it does worry me at times but I'm sure it's different when it's your own!
We are massively struggling with boys' names too though we obviously still have a good few months to go! John is still my favourite but dh has now decided it's too weird that it's the same as my bro and his dad but he hates everything else I suggest...grr! Definitely tell us what you're thinking and we can all vote

4ever here's my hand for your scan tomorrow. Might you feel confident enough to move into big pants after that?? I can't believe I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and have had sooooo much baby/pregnancy talk that it is starting to feel much more real. So sorry you've had that awful cold/flu thing too hope it goes away for a lovely new year celebration! So tomorrow will you have it confirmed that it's definitely a pink one??

Moon huuuuge congratulations that is such good news about the engagement lovely to see you all happy and am keeping my fingers silently crossed for that BFP to end the year!

MM thinking of you for tomorrow...must be amazing knowing for sure you're going to meet your LO tomorrow! Will it be another niece for us??

Neeko we need a bump pic from you!! We got some pressies for little Titch too it felt so weird! DH got the Haynes baby manual which is quite amusing

blue your mini birth story was lovely and the image of you just sobbing over Benjamin is massively heart melting!

annie lovely to hear you're on cloud 9 too

iggy if you're reading- hope Christmas was ok for you. Do your family know yet? Only 6 sleeps until your scan

mermaid still thinking of you loads and hope you're indulging in lots of choccie and wine.

Big waves and hellos to everyone else. We are still at my parents' and back to Cardiff tomorrow...boo. Why do holidays have to pass so quickly?

mm1509 · 29/12/2009 16:50

Hi lovelies,

Had to make time quickly to get on today as I feel you have all been such a large part of the journey and I truly wouldn't have got this far without you all. Really can't get my head around that tomorrow I will FINALLY be a mum again, I have prayed for this for so long that I am actually nervous about it now. Just can't wait to meet this little person now. There have been so many times over the last two years that I thought we would never get to this point, I thank all of you who have kept me going and got me to where we are now. Emotions are running pretty high atm so packed plenty hankies for tomorrow.

mermaid you have never been far from my thoughts over the last week, hope you had as peaceful a christmas as possible.

barbie where would we be without your stories, the thread is not the same when you are away, can't believe it will be you in weeks .

moon congratulations on the engagement, it truly is lovely to hear you sounding so happy, got a feeling 2010 will be a good year for you.

blue still on cloud nine hearing your news, give Benjamin a big kiss from all of his cyber aunties and we will defo meet up soon.

jools couldn't go without saying how lovely it is to hear you sounding like your old self, I am so happy to read your posts now sounding so upbeat.

Sorry I don't time to post to you all atm but want to spend some time with DD before she goes to granny and papa's tonight. Just want to say thank you for all the messages both on here and fb. I will text the numbers I have when we have some news and want to wish you all a fantastic 2010 when it comes. Take care everyone mm xxxx.

littlebellsmum · 29/12/2009 19:58

V quick post as a bath is waiting - I've had a bad tummy all day , and being in big pants, it;s a big tummy to hurt and so I'm hoping a bath might help.

Moon many congratulations - what a wonderful Christmas present. My DH proposed to me on New years eve 11 years ago this week and it was lovely going back to work with a ring on my finger!! Enjoy it and enjoy the wedding plans. One tiny piece of advice - it's you and your df's wedding and no one elses!!

On the same subject barbie This is you and DH's baby and therefore you can call it anything that you want. Your MIL can turn up her nose all she likes but it is your choice - if you want to call him Jimmy Riddle then it's entirely up to you or even after the whole of DH's favorite football team, you can. And so ends the sermon from LBM!

MM and 4ever good luck for tomorrow - looking forward to hearing about our new addition and for 4ever oficially joing the big pants!

cupcake and barbie - very happy to help with names as at some point in the new year, you are going to have to help me!! Cupcake - DH and I also have tne same problem with boys names, if I like it, he hates it and vice versa.

Love to all - bathtime!

monkeybumsmum · 29/12/2009 21:01

Hello! Back from UK now and have been banished to the computer so dh can watch cricket Not that I'm complaining mind you!

Blue Congrats again The pictures of your darling boy are just gorgeous and made me well up! So pleased to hear that things were good in the hospital, although you must've been exhausted after a 25 hour labour Hope that the toe-curling stops soon (I remember it only too well) and that you enjoy all these special early days with your two gorgeous boys...

Moon Congratulations to you too! Wonderful news As others have said it's soooo exciting flashing your engagement ring around (and getting hypnotised by the sparkle too ) Your ring is stunning, and your df sounds wonderful! Did he get down on one knee? Hope you enjoy planning the wedding!

Mermaid Am still thinking of you x

mm Will be thinking of you tomorrow too, and shall be looking forward to hearing your news I can't imagine how you must be feeling, getting to this point after all you've been through. It must feel wonderful Good luck tomorrow, I hope that everything goes well and that you have babymm in your arms in no time at all x

4ever Good luck to you too for tomorrow - what time is your scan? You must be looking forward to finding out a little more definately whether it is a pink one! How exciting! Hope you're enjoying having a massive bump - have you felt the baby kick yet?

lbm Hope your tummy's feeling a little better now - was it a bug do you think?

Cupcake Hope you manage to find a name you both agree on - it's not an easy thing! 20 weeks, wow Hope you're feeling blooming!

Hello to everyone else - have a bit of a sinusy headache so am off to do some steaming before trying to seduce dh away from the cricket Not sure it'll work but going to try nonetheless! Have a nice rest of evening all!

ps MLS who do you reckon did it? Think Phil's a bit too obvious what with the bloody clothes... We have to wait til Feb to find out apparently!

MummyLovesSadie · 29/12/2009 21:39

Just a quickie from me to say best of luck tomorrow MM very excited for you. Do we have your mobile number so that we can get your news the second your lo is pulled out of your tum?!

4ever Good luck to you too, get those big pants on girl!

Monkey I've really no idea who did it. Everyone looks so believable - I'd make a crap copper! I'm also loving the wedding possibly being crashed & ruined by Christian! Also isn't Phil Mitchell fab when he's on the booze?! And what about Ricky & Bianca, I just love them!

Neeko in answer to your question please see above!

CurlyBigPants · 29/12/2009 22:36

Hey everyone. Came on to wish MM luck and I see Moons wonderful news I am so delighted for you hon!!!

Can't wait to hear your news tomorrow MM

Big hugs to mermaid. Hope you are okay honey but if you're not please come and tell us so we can (try to) look after you xxx

Lots of love to everyone. I'll catch up properly tomorrow so sorry for the lack of personal posts.

VJay · 30/12/2009 09:56

Thinking of you today mm, such an exciting day today for you

4ever good luck with your scan today, but I'm sure you don't need it

mls and monkey I don't think Phil did it, it is a bit too obvious, I'll be disapointed if it was him, DH thinks Sam did it, but I'm not sure, but don't think I can wait til Feb to find out .

Can't wait to hear all your possible baby names, me and DH couldn't agree on any to begin with then we suddenly had 4 or 5 names! In the end I rang my nan and she really liked Alexander James, and it was my favourite too and because I did the birth bit all on my own I got to choose the name, (DH did chose DS1's name) so hey presto there you go

OP posts:
barbie1 · 30/12/2009 10:48

ahhh bliss.....

I have sent the rest of the family out to atlantis water park for the day, so its just not so little old me...i have been to the mall and purchased a few pieces from this range for the nursery hodge podge! we have the same cot too, the plan is to paint on one wall a big tree or something so its like an enchanted forest...ill post the pics when its done

Im loving the piece and quiet, selfish arent i??

mm went in to hospital at 7.30am and has promised to update as soon as anything happens.....im sooooo excited for her

vjay i think im going to download enders now...its intriging me as to what you are all talking about!

4ever what time is your scan today, my brain is truely knackered!

Can anyone tell me what braxton hicks feel like? last night i kept have shotting pains from my pubic bone to mid belly button...not really painful but i certainlly noticed they were happening about every 10 mins or so

As for names......ok here goes and please be honest...it might be my pregnancy hormones making me chose crap names

Devon....i love this name and if its a girl she will be 100% called this, the plan was to call it to either sex but on looking into it further we both agree it suits a girl more...

so for boys....

Harry...it this too 'common'?
Hugo...too posh?
gray...too dull?
milo....tweenies?
henry....

I havent got a middle name and both dh and i dont really see the need for one but if its a shorter name we were thinking patrick after my grandad

Oh dear now ive written down the names i dont think i like any

I want a name that is slightly different but not 'odd' or too out there...if that makes sense?

I love names like oliver, james (dh name) issac etc etc but they just dont go with our surname

ahhhhh im so stuck! Suggestion on a postcard please....

Anyways i hope you all have a lovely day, im off to google more names...

cupcakefairy · 30/12/2009 11:22

Lol barbie we're having the same issue- every name it's like 'no it reminds me of so-and-so' or 'no it's too common' or 'too posh'
Of those boys' names you listed I think Hugo and Harry are my favourites. Both are really lovely.
I really like Milo too but you're right it is a bit tweenies...so annoying when that happens!
Anyway, glad you're enjoying some peace and quiet!

4ever's scan was 11am so she's probably in there now

Sooo excited for mm

mermaidspurse · 30/12/2009 12:14

mm my oh my its been a long time coming can't wait to find out how you all are.xx

barbie Love the m&p stuff, that is just lovely
You have to imagine shouting the name out at the park nightclub swimmingpool. Hugo says polo matches and yobos in Cowes week, but as cupcake said when you know someone called a name it totally colours it.
My ds name was the only name that noone said yuk too.

Like Patrick, what about that for a first name? I was told that you should have a long first name if you have a short surname... I ignored that though and ds name is short with a short surname and it sounds fine imo.

Tis hard, sometimes when they 'pop' out they just don't suit any name you had initially chosen.

Devon, that is growing on me.

You can just tell I am feeling utterly crap can't you, sorry. In dressing gown can't be bothered to get up, tidy up, cook or anything else. dh being very patient with a grumpy woman.
I stopped bleeding yesterday and I have just crashed, its the bit I dread the most and have a dreadful headache and everything seems too much effort.

moon its lovely to see so many smiles on your posts and nice to meet your hand and see your lovely ring. Congratulations

oh just been interupted by 4ever who is looking all pink and happy

barbie1 · 30/12/2009 12:19

mermaid tis very good to hear from you, far from being crap you have just confirmed what i already thought regarding hugo!
Im very sorry to hear that you are a little low...im sure you wonderful dh understands, have as many gressing gown days as you feel you need...the house work can and will wait.

Thanks for updating about 4ever who must be over the moon right now...

I have a feeling this thread will have another little girl joining it within the next few hours

MummyLovesSadie · 30/12/2009 12:32

Mermaid I'm sorry you have crashed & are feeling down. I don't think you should do anything at all today. Just take it easy, lay in bed, watch a weepy film, eat Christmas leftovers & drink brandy/vodka/whiskey.

Barbie Harry is a good name as for Hugo..... anything that has 'go' attached to your surname is bound to be bully-magnet in the playground! I had a really good baby-name book but lent it to a friend, hopefully I'll be needing it back soon!

Glad to hear the good news about 4ever & excited to hear some news from MM.

mermaidspurse · 30/12/2009 12:34

Irasmus? Colin?

what about any other sw names? Piran? quite popular down my way though.

now out of dressing gown and contemplating cooking gammonand the Christmas pudding

VJay · 30/12/2009 12:46

mermaid you deserve to do nothing for a while, it will do you good, you will soon feel the need to do stuff so do it then....does that make any sense

4ever is it really a pink one so excited for you

barbie love the name Devon for a girl , as for boys names Harry is nice and I know a wee boy called Henry up here and he's sooo cute , Patrick is a nice name too. As for mermaids Colin, go for it , what about Bert? Norman? Eric?

Any news from mm yet?
