Hiya,
neeko sorry you are sounding so dissapointed, but if they aren't too worried then I'm sure it will be fine. I expect you're worried incase they have to operate though, fingers crossed they don't

barbie you can study with the open U overseas, but I think it costs quite a bit more.
As for stretch marks I am very of you and mls, I have loads and tore both times, no was cut first time and tore badly this time, I'm just not as stretchy as you too .

mls I love haggis and will be having some tonight, yummy

Just had my lovely post natal swim, Ajay loved it when it was his turn.
Forgot to say, he was weighed on Friday and came in at 16lbs 14oz, so he has slowed down now and is nearing the 50th percentile, but his height is on the 90th!, so tall and skinny

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 12:55

Vjay that is just like my dd, when she was born she was on about the 8th percentile weight-wise & 90-odd with her height! She looks like a three year old now even though she is only two! Enjoy your haggis !

Barbie maybe our stretchy & smooth skin is all down to Mama Mio??!

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 12:59

Can I just add that I wasn't putting Mama Mio stretch mark cream on my actual fanjo

Neeko · 25/01/2010 13:07

MLS I'm carrying very differently than I did with DD, that's all. I'm not technical enough to put up a bump pic

Vjay I know. I know and i'll be fine again tomorrow. Just wobbling a bit today. Nice to hear that Ajay is growing well. Veggie haggis for me tonight since I can't have the real stuff. It's still yummy though/

VJay · 25/01/2010 13:17

neeko you are allowed to wobble with the news you've had today, I would be if it were me, then you lot would be telling me it will all be fine , wobble away sweetie

OP posts:
Neeko · 25/01/2010 13:23

Thanks Vjay Love the fact that you all understand and don't expect me just to say 'Oh well' and get on with it. I know it's not a big thing and not life-threatening but it's still my much wanted and longed for lo and today it feels like a big thing to me.

cupcakefairy · 25/01/2010 13:51

Hi girls.
Neeko so sorry it wasn't more reassuring news for you today, hope you're ok. And yes you have every right to wobble because it is a big deal. Big hugs to you.

MLS and Barbie I hope it is the Mama Mio as I'm using that although I have noticed little stretch marks starting to form under my boobs...boo! My Mum has loads so I will probably end up covered in them.

Moon massive hugs to you today. Please don't feel guilty; it's only natural to think less about traumatic things as time goes on and your los will never be forgotten.

Monkey how are you feeling today?

I've given myself a sick note for today and tomorrow. Lay awake for around 4 hours straight last night and even taking painkillers didn't help get back to sleep. So miserable, I cried on dh again this morning. Have been to doctor who was pretty useless (started looking up in a book whether I was allowed to take ibuprofen ) but he did say he would refer me to physio. Everyone says the second trimester is supposed to be the best time when you feel great but I feel crap
Sorry to moan...

cupcakefairy · 25/01/2010 13:52

And btw the burns emoticons are coming up as father christmases on my screen! Weird!

Neeko · 25/01/2010 14:37

Cupcake Big hug. maybe you'll feel fab through the third trimester instead?!

iggypiggy · 25/01/2010 15:01

hello all - quick catch up!

I have nothing to report - scarily nothing - which makes me paranoid that all is not well... but who knows.. Anyway - 2 1/2 weeks till next scan - so guess will see then...

cupcake sorry to hear you still in pain - would def go to osteopath if you can? Rather than physio..

neeko sorry you didn't have better news re: the kidneys.

Hoep everyone else ok - will try to cath up properly soon.
xx

anniebigpants · 25/01/2010 15:18

Hello all, sorry havent been on for a while, just been busy with family etc, Ive had a read through and catch up, no time to post b ut im thinking of you all and hugs to those who need them.

Im feeling very sad and emotional today as it is a year to the day i was collapsed on my bathroom floor, bleeding so much i thought i was dying and having to get to A & E to have my poor lost angel removed with forceps.

bluesatinsash · 25/01/2010 16:11

oh Annie - I so remember your post form this time last year . Hope you're giving Ellis lots of kisses and cuddles today to remind you how far you have come xx

Not managed to get on and onl yon now as Benjamin is snuggled up to me in his 'close to baby' sling - look mum no hands! So have lots of catching up to do..

Firstly Minkey - congratulations hone, so so happy for you but totally understand how bittersweet this all is with your Mum passing. Hope MLS's word brought comfort.

MLS - I remember you telling us about your darling sister and how your DD is named after her . Had a wee at your udder referemce. No naked labouring here - I wore white vest and hospital goonie wrong way round. DH has ace photo of me mid contraction with gas and air in full flow and goonie barely covering my huge arse. The pain is almost radiating off the photo.

No haggis here - although do like it stuffed in chicken - that was my wedding dinner and it was lovely

4everhopeful · 25/01/2010 17:09

Hey ladies

Nice to see you busy mummy Blue - that was a boak thought of your wedding dinner! Sorry Burns crew! Kisses to young Ben & DS 1! xxxxx

Annie big hug for you hon, the horrible forceps thing happened with my first & is a horrific thing on top of an already horrific thing, didnt realised we mc'd so close, its a year since my 4th on sat.. I echo Blue - get lots of hugs & kisses with Ellis & think how far you have come.. xxxxx

MLS more sad anniversaries, January really is a crap month.. Big hug for you tomorrow, I vividly remember you telling us about your darling sis too.. Thanks for being a supportive sweetie & hope maybe another light shines down from your sis in the form of a BFP to help you smile.. xxxxx

Monkey Im sure your head is in absolute turmoil & as MLS said you are torn between grief & joy.. Im sure you are very numb & in autopilot mode, all we can do is offer those hugs & our virtual shoulders whenever you need them you lovely soul.. xxxxx

Neeko weeble and wobble as much as you need too, you summed it right up, when everyone else is saying 'oh dont worry, its fine' you can guarantee we understand, no its not bloody fine, this is your precious boy (I think so too! ) and you want & need everything to be perfect & rightly so.. Big hug honey xxxxx

Moon how are you weebling today? It is indeed strange how many of us have close anniversaries xxxxx

Mermaid, another lovely quiet lady probably weebling somewhat at the thought 2 of our lost angels practically shared a birthday Big hug if you are lurking too xxxxx

Bloody BOO to Januaryschmanuary indeed! [bbiscuit]

To happier things, Iggy really pleased you are feeling able to enjoy your pregnancy sweetie! You must be 14wks by now? Woop woop & one of Mermaids goldstars for being a brave supertroooper! xxxxx

Barbie you have my DH birthday as your new edd! I have been loving reading your happy excited nesting posts & am so pleased and proud for you! Its put a much needed smile on my face of late & can feel the excitement oozing off the page its so sweet! Really glad you like your new midwife too - tres important! xxxxx

Vjay I also salute your superwoman like status & studying prowess! Well done to you & more of Mermaids gold stars! Beautiful time for Ajays christening & also looking forward to seeing his gown! Happy Burns night to you! xxxxx

Cupcake sorry to hear you are feeling yukky, Ive found a whole heap more to worry about in this the 'carefree' trimester! I think insomnia is another symptom as have also spent most of the last week awake for hours at a time, then sleeping til stupid o clock, my body clock is such a mess, at least Im not working at the mo though. At least you now have your ball & your pillow & a much needed referral finally! xxxxx

LBM hows things with you and the curtains sweetie? Glad LO has stopped making you weeble too & got active again! Have you noticed a pattern? Mine seems to be active in the morning, midday & nighttime, also loves dinnertime! (like mummy!) xxxxx

Curly and Gracie whats happening with you ladies, needing an update asap please! Also quiet ladies Mrskate, Sabs, Buddha, Lion and everyone else Iv totally unintentionally not forgotten on purpose! xxxxx

Well, managed to muster up some enthusiasm for an overdue mammoth post! [pats self on back] Sorry for being so low & miserable of late, only a few days left of this blummin month! DH & I had a few big rows last wk too but ok now, tho horrid as its very rare.. Must admit everything prob accentuated by mass weebleness following my scare last wk, said to Neeko after wks of being scared of mc, now Im scared of a prem baby.. My swabs came back as just thrush & prescribed canestan, tho am too scared to use it til after anomaly scan tomorrow, as my paranoia is that Im having excessive watery discharge {tmi } but literally runs down leg when stand up.. Although they checked my cervix was closed last sat night in the delivery suite, Im really freaked am leaking amniotic fluid (tho also a symptom of my cervical erosion apprently), also been feeling baby flutters really really low, tho today was up by belly button & think she had hiccups .. Im prob weebling myself into a state over nothing, (so I keep telling self!) but first thing I wanna check at scan tomorrow is that cervix is closed & long, & fluid not leaking! Then Im worrying that they will find something wrong with baby , its been 3wks sincelast scan & is longest Iv ever gone so thats def not helped my weeble frame of mind.. Anyway really wasnt meant to be a 'me' post, sure you're all sick of them! LOL! Tis really a baby post actually to try & justify!

Anyway, please cross your bits & pieces at 12pm tommorrow & Ill text update as usual cos wont be back home (all being well) for a couple of hours as need some of my mummys time& hugs.. xxxxx

VJay · 25/01/2010 17:21

4ever good luck for tomorrows scan, will think positive thoughts at 12pm for you . I had thrush when pregnant with Ajay and had to use a canestan pessary and cream, I was a bit worried. but it was fine and cleared it right up, so don't worry about using it. Also I only felt Ajays kick very low down for weeks, so that's normal too. It will soon be Feb and I bet you can't wait, we will have 3 new arrivals on here and Ajays christening, there's something good to look forward to, then it's March and our birthdays, then you will be in your 3rd trimester

Hi blue hope you are getting a little more sleep, and I think your wedding feast sounded yummy

OP posts:
littlebellsmum · 25/01/2010 19:43

Before I make a dash for the shops and make veggie hasggis, neeps and tatties ( yes, there is a veggie version that some scottish friends have given us!!)

To add to the strech markks/ tear debate - I have no stretch marks but did tear second time round. Could be due to the episiostomy ( spelt wrong I know!) first time round

4ever Most of the kicks I get from Tinker are quite low and yes, she's making up for lost time today and doesn't seem to have rested all day!! I'm sure tomorrow will go well.

Sorry that January brings so many sad anniversaries - think early feb will be the same as I know there are a few that lost our LO's about this time last year.

neeko sorry todays scan didn't give you any reassurance but 5 lbs already!

I've now hit the milestone of 23 weeks, which is nothing short of amazing in my mind and am now starting to think about equipment etc! Getting serious pram envy as they have really moved on since my dc's were born and yet I can't justify the cost for just one dc!!

H

cupcakefairy · 25/01/2010 20:19

Neeko I hope I do get a blooming third trimester after this! By the way the birthing ball is the best £7 I ever spent and dh is obsessed with it too and keeps saying 'can we share it?' haha!
I'm becoming more convinced we're having a boy too, cos our families keep referring to it as 'he' and 'nephew' and everyone we know is having girls atm...but I know that means nothing really!

4ever yay for the return of the mammoth post so sorry about all your worries.. if it's any consolation I have v watery disharge too that runs down [tmi!], particularly after I've peed - always makes me worry I'm losing control of my bladder am sure they will reassure you about it tomorrow. My lo's movements are sometimes v low in pelvis and sometimes right up by my ribs so sure that's perfectly normal.

LBM we spent an hour in John Lewis having buggy demonstrations yesterday that bugaboo chameleon is absolutely crazy with the amount of stuff it can do but there's no way we're spending £750! We're still set on the iCandy Cherry. Congrats on 23 weeks I'm 24wks on Weds & just can't believe how much Titch wriggles now, it's almost constant.

Hi iggy glad you're still there and worry not about lack of symptoms..you're kind of in no-mans-land now with first trimester stuff easing but before you get to hear hb or see your lo again; everything becomes harder to believe. At around 15 weeks was when my dh kept saying he wanted to see the baby again as nothing seemed to be happening - by the time we got to the 20wk scan he wasn't so excited cos I had a bump & we'd heard hb. Hang in there

Ooh, didn't mean this post to become mammoth! Dh is gonna make pancakes and Hells Kitchen USA starts again tonight, yippeee. Loads of love to all x

4everhopeful · 25/01/2010 22:31

Just a quickie nighttime post, thanks for reassurance re low kicks & discharge girls! So glad tomorrows nearly here! Vjay so nice to be reminded our birthdays are actually not far at all & god willing ill be 3rd trimester then! Cupcake really glad the ball is helping , wow to 24wks weds & wow to Lbm at 23wks... Im 22wks on fri, nearly there my preg buddies! I just gotta get past tomorrow, then the next 2wks, (then the next 16wks! ) dont think you will ever get the weeble out of me! X x x x x

littlebellsmum · 25/01/2010 22:59

4ever - we love you for your wobbles and yes, once your babba is here, there's a whole new level of worry for you to obsess over!

iggypiggy · 26/01/2010 09:29

4ever am in total shock that you are now 22 weeks on Fri!!!! I am 15 weeks today and still in shock that have made it this far!

cupcake am sure you are right about the no-mans land... i am lucky that I get another scan on 10th Feb - so only 2 weeks to wait... Glad the ball is good! I was thinking of dropping into John Lewis after my scan to look at some stuff... just look tho!

lbm also so shocked that you are 23 weeks already - can't believe how fast is all going! Yaya for the milestone!

Lionstar · 26/01/2010 11:42

Yay for all the 20+ weekers, so amazing

4ever enjoy your scan today. I'm sure it will confirm everything pottering on happily. Enjoy waving at your wee girl

cupcake we love our Icandy cherry! The only downside is the fact it doesn't fold in one piece. However it is lovely and light, the shopping basket is huge and we still use it rear-facing for DD and she is 3 next month! I would recommend getting the cosy-toes for the seat as it really does make it all snuggly.

Neeko · 26/01/2010 13:30

Hi all.
Thanks for your lovely messages and texts and for undertsnding and being special. feeling a bit better emotionally today although physically knackered due to size (if one more person comments today, I'll scream) and DD being up lots last night with her cold and then sharing it with me. the fun never stops, huh?

I was hoping to have heard from 4ever by now

Very excited to see the 3 of you moving into the 20+ week mark. I felt such a relief for a day or two at 24 weeks as it's such a huge milestone.

iggy perfectly normal to have no symptoms now. No it sounds strange but try to enjoy it as there's LOADS to come

Annie Big hug for the anniversary. Don't think that pang of what if? will ever really go.

MLS Big hug to you today too and an extra special one for doing so well in this 2ww. i know you find it bloody hard.

Blue thanks. I DID remember Ben yesterday and what you went through and it really helped with my wobbles.

4ever after all you've been through/are going through you and your lovely DH are bound to fall out now and again. He ca't be perfect all of the time cos then he wouldn't be a man (and that'd be no good for the brood you're planning to have )

Vjay think we should have a bvirtual christening for Ajay like we did for MrsKate's hen as he gives us all hope.

LBM I too have pram envy but DH says it's no go

Cupcake I knew you'd love the ball. tell your DH he can use it if he wears one of those fake pregnancy tummys! Or throw out your couch and buy several. Definitely try Tena pantliners for the discharge. Much more absorbant and you can pretend you're buying them for your gran!

Hi Lion think you've caused some buggy envy on here

Hi to everyone else and big hugs to those that need/want them.

mermaidspurse · 26/01/2010 13:38

Nothing from 4ever yet, hopefully she is tucking into bacon eggs, fried toms, mushrooms and 2 rounds of toast.

neeko well done for getting through these last few days.

sorry for rush, havn't read any messages for days been a wee bit busy - heaps of love to you all, especially monkey thinking of you.

barbie1 · 26/01/2010 13:38

Hi Girls, just back from the hospital where i had to repeat everything that i had done at my regular doctors yesterday....and got charged £120 for the privalage

So now i just have to go weekly to the hospital for my checkups, another good thing is i meet an english doctor who will be the one whois with me in labour and she said she doesnt let anyone go more than 10 days over the due date so with the new due date in mind it means that my family will definatly meet babybarbie while they are out visiting....so happy days in the barbie household (apart for having to have an anal swab what was that all about then??????)

So back to you ladies....4ever as im typing this i bet you are holding get another precious scan pic of you little girl i hope it isnt too long until someone comes on to update the rest of us on your good news.....

I cant believe how far some of you are in your pregnancies feels like ive been pregnant for the longest amount of time ever, where as some of you seem to be flying!

iggy i bet you buy something small, or if you dont you will be very very tempted! its all so cute.....love john lewis baby department

cupcake we have the bugaboo cameleon, it does do loads but i just know the basics dh know how to do all the fancy stuff but i bet we never use any of it....they are v. expensive, even more so over here but we got it second hand remember and after a wash and a few new accesories it looks brand new. I like the icandy cherry too....what colour did you get?

blue i am going to do my play list this week, although i doubt ill use the ipod, i think ill be too busy screaming at dh to notice any music might be nice in the run ou though? Think ill have to have all chilled out, mellow things on it as i can be quite a highly strung stressed person so more uptemple beats wont help in the slightest!

Mls hope today passes peacefully for you and you have had a nice day thinking about all the fond memories of your dear sister, big hugs sweetheart x

annie hope you are feeling better today too, and that loving little ellis yesterday helped somewhat to heal the pain....

moon you ok????

Mermaid i guess you are taking a little timeout to reflect on things, i do hope everything is ok with you.

jools did the farm survive a few days without tending to it?

A massive hello to everyone else, ill be back shortly to finsih of posting but want to see if there is any news from 4ever

xx

barbie1 · 26/01/2010 13:42

x post with mermaid and neeko

Nice to see you mermaid!!!! neeko i dont know how they can really tell the weight of the baby...everyone has told me they have been a lb or so out each time, and anyways how do they know??? the midwife mearly felt my tummy and said oh its a small baby...what to say it wasnt curled up tightly hiding a massive tummy and bum!

mermaidspurse · 26/01/2010 13:48

ok ladies perfect brain, perfect tummy, and looking to be a mahoosive 10 lber - well if you are going to do it do it big eh? definately pink everything firmly closed. So a big yahooooooo for 4ever
