September is a month of new beginnings, maybe we'll have some new beginnings of our own. Hop on board the September Bus and let's see where it takes us.

Hmm... I'm not going to get much symptom spotting done if DP and I don't actually find time to DTD at some point in the near future. All efforts so far this month have been too far pre-ovulation (haven't ov'd yet that I've noticed, which is late for me), and have had a horrific cough for the past week, so not exactly been feeling my finest. Have been having a chill out day today (as much as you can while looking after a one year old, making dinner and baking mince pies simultaneously) so hopefully will feel a bit better later.

Legallyblond I didn't go bonkers with the whole thing last time as I was lucky enough to get a BFP first month trying (it can happen, see!), but even after under a month I was pretty darn obsessed with symptom spotting! Will be more sensible this time due to lack of time/inclination to stress about it. Am also determined not to test till I am officially late, as have a fear of having a chemical PG and would rather not know. Also have an irrational fear of MC, as SIL had same as me first time (pg immediately, no probs) then had 2 MCs before having a second successful pg.

legallyblond · 17/12/2009 15:03

Redbug - totally agree on the testing for all the same reasons. I am def not going to test until I am late.

Hope everyone is well today...

x

Eleanora · 17/12/2009 15:32

Legallyblonde - I am in the same boat with crazy symptom spotting. Have been feeling bloated for a few days (though that could definitely be the mince pies...) but today I started bleeding very lightly - just spotting really. It is only day 20 - this has never happened to me before. Cycles are always at least 30 days but usually slightly longer. Is it ridiculous to think about implantation bleeding?

drkgpink · 17/12/2009 20:25

Hi to all, hope evryones ok. Just after a bit of advice, what are people who are going to be in 2ww doing re alcohol at christmas. if I don't drink people will assuma i'm pregnant when most likely first month I won't be. If i do and i turn out to be pregnant would not be the best time to be drinking. should i just fill one glass and hope no-one notices its not going down?

lucybrad · 17/12/2009 21:12

hate the 2ww with the alcohol problem. its such a dead giveaway too. as long as you dont get plastered should be ok.

redbug · 17/12/2009 21:20

I kind of figure that since the egg isn't sharing a blood supply with the mother for a couple of weeks (the initial job of the placenta, according to women's hour on radio four the other day, is actually to block the mother's blood supply as the force of it would burst the egg when it's still so tiny), then a few drinks don't really matter.

I had a few over christmas period when i was on 2WW, and got my BFP on New Years Eve, so drinking then was out. Can't believe I'm doing the same again! My timing truly is fabulous...

SugarMagrundy · 17/12/2009 23:26

Is it too late to get on this bus? It looks pretty full (unless it's a bendy bus?)
I am TTC#2 Cycle 6 UCL 27 CD13

NancyDrewRocks · 18/12/2009 09:51

I drink on the 2ww.

Personally I don't think it is a problem and not drinking just adds to the stress of TTC. I am very pragmatic about this sort of stuff.

lucybrad · 18/12/2009 10:27

nobodys too late for the bus

Suppose I better start putting some effort in, seem to have slept this cycle so farp

Elsa123 · 18/12/2009 15:40

Hellooo, since my last post have had light brown bleeding, but nothing at all significant, just a little every day. Its very much getting me down as its been all week. I'm hoping AF for real will kick in as bleeding from day 18 is just depressing. So, not hopeful for this month. Too long for an implantation me thinks.

How is everyone else?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 18/12/2009 16:08

Hi All, fingers crossed I'll be able to stay on this bus. Got two shots at September with my dates. Currently on CD21 with a due date of 2 September if this is our month and 30 September if it's the next one. Fingers crossed. Am also on the ttc over 40 thread. This would be our 4th DC.

Having bloods done to look into a possible luteal phase defect but started Agnus Castus and B6 supplements this month and, given that I often spot from Day 21 and haven't so far, am hoping it's helped.

Had a lovely dream about having a baby girl a couple of nights ago, complete with name and everything.

I am drinking on the 2ww - a glass every other night or so. Got bil and sil coming for Christmas though and will have to think of an excuse for not drinking if my poas is positive on Christmas Eve. Think I'll go designated driver.

Eleanora nothing wrong with being prepared/daydreaming! I bought a few maternity clothes in H&M in a sale the other day. My DH thinks I'm bonkers but i can always give them away to a friend later/sell on ebay if this doesn't work out.

Fingers crossed for everyone.

legallyblond · 18/12/2009 17:00

Ilovegregoryhouse (as do I, by the way!) - I also have 2 possible due dates in Sept (also on CD21) so we may be on the bus together for a while!

I am so silly with this symptom spotting - convinced stomach cramps (actually more like vicious twinges in my lower abdomen) mean something.. they blatently mean TOO MANY MINCE PIES!

I am also drinking on the 2ww -I hardly drink anyway so a single glass of wine (if that even, I normally leave half a glass absentmindedly!) can be my limit without any eybrows being raised. I am fairly laid back about it really - so so many women don't realise they are pg until after the 2ww and all is fine....

legallyblond · 18/12/2009 17:02

Actually, no I'm not, I am on CD 20....

ILoveGregoryHouse · 18/12/2009 17:18

Is short term memory loss a symptom?

PurpleHeffalump · 18/12/2009 19:05

Think all the stats got put forward twice today???

Think this is as should be for Friday (please correct me if I'm wrong!)

nymphadora · 18/12/2009 19:12

I can only see one update today , I should be day 9 but can't do stats on my phone

PurpleHeffalump · 18/12/2009 19:27

Exactly as I had predicted I am totally unable to cope with this 2ww. I really didn't want to test until I was late as I didn't see the point - especially for the reason Redbug mentioned about a chemical pregnancy. But my ten pack of ebay cheapies is now down to 8 (one I used as soon as arrived and one last night - again just for fun!). There was absolultly no point to doing it - so can someone please tell me why I did?

I Really don't know when or if I ovulated. Tried to look out for EWCM but never found it! So not sure if we BD at the right time.
Have been looking even harder for implantation bleeding but nothing!
Am completely convinced that I'm not pregnant (so then why would I even bother testing?). No symptoms - thought I'd be spotting loads of false symptom. And I've read loads of people's comments saying they had no symptoms until they where at least a week late but in my head I think I should feel something. So therefore am sure I'm not - and won't be really dissapointed if I'm not as it's only the first cycle.

SO WHY CAN'T I STOP WANTING TO POAS????????

PurpleHeffalump · 18/12/2009 19:32

Think lucybrad updated early this morning (Friday) with title 'Thursdays stats'

Then PollyPoo added herself and updated for Friday????????????????????

PurpleHeffalump · 18/12/2009 19:36

But then if you should be day 9 then I've just completely messed them up again! I'm very confused!!! (Teacher+last day of term+class parties= prob not the best time to be messing around on here!)

kawaiiko · 18/12/2009 19:45

Hello everyone...

Drinking on the 2ww! I've had three dos in the last three days and had a glass of wine, glass of wine and half a pint respectively.

Anyway, on day 31 (UCL 30) so just POAS (I know, at 7.30 in the evening!). Got a faint +ve! Will retest tomorrow and hope it's not a chemical pg.

I am sitting here slightly bug-eyed and shell-shocked. Can't even decide whether to tell dh when he gets home from work cos could all come to naught...

PurpleHeffalump · 18/12/2009 20:00

Oooooh - how exciting! So happy for you. I'd tell DH (not saying you should - is obviously up to you) because I wouldn't be able to keep it in.
