September is a month of new beginnings, maybe we'll have some new beginnings of our own. Hop on board the September Bus and let's see where it takes us.

Back to work today - only working at home but even so, it's a shock to the system. I don't know where to start. Where did the holiday go???

Eleanora · 29/12/2009 09:41

Thanks for all the congrats - still grinning!!

Drkgpink, that sounds promising - what did the digital test say?

well not sure whats going on, still faint line on normal clearbule, digital clearblue says not pregnant but when taken apart has faint line on both strips in results window. lots of stuff on web about old style digital having two lines due to detecting LH and b-hcg but blurb on the conception indicator one says only get line in test window if HCG is actually there.

going to be a sit it out and wait one i think. although i don't feel pregnant so wondering if just chemical pg.

hope evryone else ok

Muser · 29/12/2009 17:37

Don't want to make you lose hope but it sounds a little like what I had drkgpink. I had a period that came a week early, then two weeks later some spotting. I was pregnant but miscarrying. I got very strong positives though, so not exactly the same. I hope yours goes the other way to mine. There's not much you can do except test again in a few days. Your HCG levels should about double every two days. So give it two days and see if your tests get stronger. Fingers crossed.

Gah! Has anyone else got crazily long cycles after coming off the pill? I hope I manage to get pregnant in 2010 let alone for September. When I last came off the pill my cycles were up to 70 days long (so, a 2MW not a 2WW, ugh) so it took AGES to get pregnant. Will it happen again? Come on rubbish body - get your act together!! And breathe.

yumyum73 · 29/12/2009 19:16

Hiya, well AF has definitely arrived so i'm off to join the October bus. God luck to all of you and drkgpink hope all goes well with your BFP and that the line continues to get darker!

There we go

digitalgirl · 29/12/2009 20:28

drkgpink sorry to hear you're bleeding along with a positive test. The waiting is so difficult. Maybe you could distract yourself with a glass of wine tonight, won't make any difference either way.

Crumpetsolo I'm also cursed with loooong cycles. DS is 16 months, but we started trying when he was 11 months. My 1st cycle was 8 weeks (not unusual for me). Then 10 weeks after that I got a BFP, which ended in MC. Strangely, after the MC I had a very short and light AF only 4 weeks later and am half convinced I ovulated super early too (possibly triggered by giving up breastfeeding). But I'm also holding out for another batch of EWCM as it could well have been a failed attempt to hatch.
Do you just have sex every 2-3 days throughout your entire cycle or do you wait for the EWCM?

Muser · 29/12/2009 20:34

Seriously drkgpink, if you're getting stronger results that's a good thing. When I looked into it I found plenty of stories of women who'd had quite heavy bleeding and spotting but still had a healthy pregnancy. So don't give up hope. I seriously hope you are one of the good stories I read.

Hi,

I'd like to join please, I'm excited which makes me nervous as it took me 13 months to conceive my DS with a MC after 11 months and I got so obsessed with TTC I vowed that when trying for our next baby that I wouldn't get so stressed about it so here goes

Hope thats okay just slotting in, and congrats to elenora

How did I miss Eleanora before - Sorry and Congrats!!!

What is everyone planning about holidays for next year? We were talking about going at easter with kids and expecting to be too pg to fly in the summer but now its getting later and later before I am that pg so may end up with summer as an option. Dh & I are planning long weekend at Hay in Whitweek as we have missed the last 2 festivals. Still have the option of RSC in the summer either way cos I think I'll manage that 7/8 months pg as the YPs play isnt that long.

Redbug · 29/12/2009 21:30

Just checking back in after christmas break!

Congrats eleanora, that's fabulous news.

I am not feeling even slightly, remotely, teensily pregnant, and AF is due in a couple of days. Ah well. I was ill when I OV'd, so the nearest we got was a couple of days before (maybe 3 or 4, actually), so it would have been a bit miraculous if anything happened.

Have also been merrily drinking (in extreme moderation, as I'm such a lightweight), so poor egg would have to be tougher than Arnie to get fertilised and hang on in there!

crumpetsolo · 29/12/2009 22:21

digitalgirl that all sounds horribly familiar - DS is 13 months and we've been trying for a month which is a bit earlier than I'd like as I was worried about it taking forever because of crazy deviant cycles. To be honest, there's no rhyme nor reason to my cycles, so we're taking a relaxed approach (the 2-3 days option!). Good luck!

kawaiiko · 30/12/2009 00:50

Hi all

drkgpink I have my fingers crossed for you.

Nymph I've put a link in for the migracap here. It's a stretchy cap thing filled with gel pockets - you store it in the freezer and pop it on when migraine strikes. It covers your eyes too so you get complete blackout [blissed-out emoticon]. Also thinking it will come in very handy WHEN we all get pg and need drug-free pain relief!!

Ah, this pre-ov waiting is dull . I'm keeping myself entertained thinking of ways to increase my EWCM. So far I have evening primrose oil, green tea, grapefruit juice and robitussin (some kind of expectorant that - ahen - loosens everything up!). Anyone have any more ideas to throw in?

SamanthaB123 · 30/12/2009 10:01

Morning

There must be some testing going on a the top of the list surely. We need some good news on the September bus...I'm feeling a bit flat over here. Conception window is coming to an end and soon the waiting will start...

Well I am resisting testing until the weekend unless AF arrives in the meantime.

I don't feel remotely PG, no (spurious, made-up, imaginary) symptoms, no AF symptoms either i suppose when I think about it. But whilst we do know roughly when I OV I think we missed the window this month.

Like some of you I have also indulged in a few glasses over Christmas, plus plenty of cheese and pate AND I forgot to take my folic acid with me so did not take it for a week ! Ah well, we had a nice week and was fairly relaxed so that's the main thing.....

Fingers crossed for drgpink and well done eleanora!

SamanthaB123 · 30/12/2009 10:39

FrenchLimeBlossom The fact that you don't have any symptoms is probably quite a good thing bearing in mind that the pg symtpoms and af symptoms do overlap rather! I don't know how you are resisting testing...you are a much stronger girl than me!!! Good luck, fx for a BFP SB

drkgpink · 30/12/2009 14:00

fingers crossed everyone who's testing soon. My faint line was slightly stronger this morning within the 3 minute window but fear i may be becoming obsessed so my new year's resolution is not to test again for a week to give the hormones time to decide whether i am or i was. good luck everyone

SugarMagrundy · 30/12/2009 14:14

I think I will test tomorrow, so I know how much champers I can have tomorrow night

We had a chemical pregnancy last cycle, so I am wary of testing too soon. Plus, I only have the el-cheapo Boots sticks!

Some news for the bus tomorrow then ... Good luck to you all...

SugarMagrundy · 30/12/2009 14:45

I am correcting my stats on today's list because I have realised that I am actually CD28 (I think I gave the wrong day when I joined the bus). One day I will be able to concentrate long enough to count past 10!
