period 10 days late negative pregnancy tests help???

hi i was due to start my period 10 days ago and still no sign i have took 3 pregnancy tests now each one has come up negative it is starting to drive me insane! i have been taking citalopram for the past 4 months aswell and dont know if this could be affecting me? if anyone could help i would be sooo greatful as i am losing my mind! xx

I was convinced I ovulated, egg white CM high OPK and now nothing.

I am 15 DPO and 4 days late, I have been testing with a range of different tests since 10 DPO.

It's so frustrating!

I don't feel pregnant at all, but also don't feel like AF is coming either.

What I want to know is, when do I start my new cycle? And when can I start tracking ovulation again if there has been no AF?

Hi @glasses2020 I'm the same, ewcm for two days, same time as peak ovulation test, my temps did take a few days to rise but ovulation was confirmed at cycle day 14 and temps have been high since. Cycle day number one is always the day when your period starts so we have to wait unfortunately. I've read this could be down to a corpus luteum cyst which isn't anything to worry about but messes your cycle up as it usually dies before end of cycle and if it doesn't it continues to pump out progesterone.

@glasses2020 it is mentioned in the Taking Charge of Your Fertilely book. I don't think you would know you def had one without an ultrasound, but it could be another possibility.

I've just done a test... And BFN, feeling pretty low now. I just want my cycle to start so we can try again. X

I’m not temping. If I’m not successful this cycle then I’ll give it a go next. Booked in for a consultation with my Dr this afternoon to discuss being 14 day’s late with a little spotting and numerous BFN’s. I think the next step is blood tests but I’ll let you know how I get on.

I’m in the same boat, 11 days late and I’ve done two pregnancy tests both were BFN. I phoned to talk to a local nurse today so I could have a blood test in the next day or so and over the phone she basically said I wasn’t pregnant even know she didn’t ask if I’ve had any symptoms. I’ve been feeling sick mainly in the car, breasts are bigger, haven’t been able to do a no.2 and I’ve been crying at everything.

I’m honestly just so confused if I’m not pregnant than what is wrong with me? It’s just such a shit feeling and I haven’t been able to stop crying about it

@megs1997 I don’t understand how the nurse can rule out pregnancy? I myself am not getting my hopes up but that’s because I want to be pleasantly surprised but only you know you’re own body and I find it strange that the nurse has not been more cautious and provided more helpful advice?!

I was really surprised too, she was very blunt and her words were “pregnancy tests are very sensitive so you would’ve know by now, so it sounds like you’re not pregnant, call back in a week if you still haven’t got your period.” Honestly I was shocked since she never asked if I had symptoms. She only asked if I’ve lost weight or have been ill. I really don’t want to get my hopes up so I’ve been trying not to think about it but now I’m just worried there’s something wrong with me

The nurse sounds very unhelpful, after that length of time you should be given a blood test or at least a mention of what could be causing it!

@kitttycatt thank you!! I know there’s a lot going on right now with the world and I didn’t expect to be seen right away but I just feel disappointed. Now I’ve spent all day second guessing myself and I phoned my sister who’s had two boys, she told me she only had a positive after 18 days? So I’m just going to have to stay put and see if next week if AF comes or not and then call again:/

I’m glad I came across this forum because sharing this to everyone and seeing everyone else’s stories has made me feel less alone in this crappy situation. I hope everyone gets the results they want in the next few days:)

Hey, so I spoke to my doctor this afternoon who has advised that I should wait to see if my period comes and if nothing happens in the next two weeks than to give them a call back... She reckons that my spotting could be the start of it and that’s why there’s no rush to get me in for blood tests for HGC.

She also said it wouldn’t be abnormal to kiss a period altogether as this could be due to the lining of my uterus not being thick enough, or something.

I started to feel slight cramping immediately after this consultation so I’m feeling upset and nervous although again, have read that, along with spotting is pretty normal in early pregnancy if that’s what this is.

Hi @JellyKulie sorry to hear that at least you have an answer now, limbo is the worst. I think my period will start soon, I had a low temp today at last, another negative test last night so I think I'm out. Must have ovulated a lot later than the clear blue tests said so not going to trust them anymore!

You can try again, yes you should now ovulate in approximately 14 Fay's, but maybe be a little longer. I still have no AF, and I am definitely not pregnant, did another test today BFN. I just want AF now 😭😭💕💕

I am in the same boat ... 5 days late and done three test , all negative .. I do not have any symptoms .. but my period is never late .. we had miscarriage at 19 weeks last pregnancy and I am really hoping I get pregnant this time ..
It’s so frustrating and leave no patient to wait until I know if I am pregnant or Just get the period . This grey area is making me go crazy .. 🤨

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, maybe your hormones need some time to settle down? My period was 8 days late in the end which was very unusual. Sometimes the body just has unexplained blips.

Hello everyone, I am new here. I am 10 days late today. I have no signs or symptoms of pregnancy. I have been off of my birth control for a full year now {copper IUD} I had it for 10yrs with no issues. I have taken multiple test and all are negative. I told my husband that i was late this morning and i said i was going to take a test when i got to work. he was disappointed to know it came back neg. we have a 12 soon to be 13yr old and we just been kind of saying all year if it happens it happens but now that i know this is what my husbands want i really hope that i get a positive reading within the next few days. i have read all of your post and you all are very strong women and just know that you are not alone. i wish everyone the best
