Hoping - to read your post but wishing you and your DH every happiness in the future whatever you decide. Remember you are still so young and have lots and lots of years to think about it all. Sending you much love xx

Vjay - ah the joys of Tesco.com I always forget something or as was the case this week, looked forward to my finest hazelnut yoghurt only for it to be substituted for honey and almond - as if - send it away! Have fun at your bonfire night tomorrow - ping whizz as mermaid would say

So Iggy, MLS and mermaid are in cycle sinc. Not that we're monitoring or getting hopes up......

Had my second weekly scan at lunchtime and baby has decided to behave this week . Heart rate back up to 134 bpm and irregular blip hardly distinguishable. Consultant said if it had been a run of the mill scan he would have sent me away with a big tick. So baby blue can incubate for at least another week barring any emergency and if it remains on a par with today they may allow me to go past 38 weeks and even go into labour but I daren't even think that far ahead. Just getting to 35 weeks is a milestone in itself.

I'm just so relieved as today was the last day that I had to leave work for scan with hospital bag in boot of car. All future scans will be when I'm on mat leave with no work worries

Anyhoo, better get back to tidying my desk and hiding all my good pens!

Have a lovely weekend everyone x

Sooooo, thats all of ya methinks?!?

Dunno how I managed to do such chirpy post to you all & sit here so long as Im in bloody AGONY with my back, complete spasm, have ongoing prob of sprain from pelvic muscle to lumber spine in lower back, goes all round hips, leg & cant sit up or down (inc loo etc) have been in tears & as per usual completely freaking out that its bad for baby, its hard to believe baby is ok when im in so much pain, its affecting bowels & whole tummy area as Im just locked up so am so scared whether baby is ok, bloody nightmare, Im absolutely crapping myself about mondays scan - 12.20pm btw - obligatory prayers & crossed fingers muchly appreciated - it really is one thing after another to keep me a complete anxious wobbly weebling nervous wreck xxxxx

barbie1 · 08/11/2009 04:18

I couldnt get back on to post yesterday, i felt so weird after the gloucose test

I had the worse time, the drink was so vile i actually ended up coughing as i was trying to swollow it and spat it out all over the doctors room, over me, her, the chair, the floor, my bag etc etc She then shooed me out of her room for her safety and told me to take my time and drink it as long as i wasnt too long ended up in the washrooms, head over the sink being sick with each monthful i swollowed im not sure how effective the test will be since half of it got flushed back down the toilet and the other was being cleaned up in the first room! After drinking as much as i could i kind of felt really drunk and woozy...Had to sit for an hour but ended up falling alseep in the waiting room I will get the results today but i have a v bad feeling im going to have to go to the 2nd stage and have repeat test done Fingers crossed eh?

4ever remember the terrible back ache i had, i cried and cried for weeks. I ended up getting a medical cream which numbs the area and is safe in pregnancy, dh used to rub it in for me helped a little...i have everything crossed for you on monday. Oh and its 35 degrees here, humidity on the rise so it feels hot and sticky still, athough the mornings are lovely and cool and i even wore a cardi over my dress for dinner out the other night, so it is slooooowly getting colder.

jools hello birthday girl having fun?

Whoops out of time again, off to work, speak soon xxx

BuddhaBellyBigPants · 08/11/2009 10:27

Lovely new home
Sorry I've not been on much but SPD getting progressively worse now on crutches and feeling quite low as the pain is awful, didn't really want to moan on here about it as I am grateful that I'm pg honestly! I have another scan next Thursday when they will make the decision whether I have a c/section or not, as my placenta hadn't moved enough at last scan at 33 weeks.
Neeko What did you decide about the swine flu jab? I've decided not to have it but that's easier for me to decide as I only have weeks left.
LBM I see you have gone through another hurdle in the journey, passing 10+5 hurray
Blue Glad to hear scan went well this week, and LO is behaving him/herself. What a lovely boss she must think a lot of you.
Barbie Bargain pram well done! Hope you have found somewhere to store it I like Vjay's idea to stop the homesickness by making your last Christmas as a couple very special, it will be different anyway being in Dubai, I'll send you some cold weather in the post if you like Hope your GTT comes back OK, trust you to spit it out everywhere
Cupcake So glad you got through your EDD and are able to be so positive about your LO Really pleased about DH's job news, hurray
MLS Lovely to "see" you back, but can't believe the insensitivity of your relatives thank goodness your consultant is more sensible!
4ever How's the cold? Hope your back is a little easier today. Your LO will be as snug as a bug in a rug where s/he is so just concentrate on getting better and seeing them again on Monday, will be thinking of you x
Curly Again we are mirroring our feelings how spooky I'll send you a "we are grateful we're pg but oh my do we have to feel so bad with it" hug if you send me one back x
Moon It's so hard when surrounded by pg women, it's a slap in the face every day, think you are doing fantastically though, hug x
Jools Hope you are having a fabulous time in Cornwall, you won't not think about everything that is coming up but I really hope you get some peace and a wonderful birthday
Mermaid Hope you got all the boring paperwork out the way and enjoyed the rest of your weekend
Iggy Here's a hand to hold to get you through next week x
Hoping Just in case you are still lurking, I wanted to second what the others have said, you are NOT a failure but fully get why you feel that way as we have all been there. I hope having a break from it all does you good in all ways, and really hope to see you come back with some BFP good news All the best for the future x

mermaidspurse · 08/11/2009 11:56

buddha oh your poor lady can't begin to imagine how badly your pain is you must feel like you have been pregnant forever. I will keep everything crossed for your Thursday scan. You are meant to moan btw cos you are a pregnant lady

barbie Think we may need to send your Dr a shiny star for having you as a patientHopefully you are feeling a bit better today and the result is fine so you don't have to do it again.

I am still under paperwork but have stopped for toast and marmalade and might have to go and blow the cobwebs away down the beach.

4ever hope the aches are a little better - I had forgotten how much barbie had those pains, makes you feel a bit better when you remember other peoples symptons. Have a nie cosy day.

cupcakefairy · 08/11/2009 12:45

Afternoon girlies
mermaid you are so so lovely organising that for jools (and you too barbie!) Jools hope you're having a fabulous weekend and laughing lots

hoping so sad to read your post. Hope that you will pop in again when life seems a little brighter but know we are all thinking of you x

4ever you poor love! It's just one wobble after another isn't it hoping and praying tomorrow's scan will give you another few days of peace. I'm ok thanks my lovely, things are slowly looking brighter.

Thanks for the lovely messages re dh's job everyone yes I am v relieved! Tinged with a tiny bit of sadness though as he just loved his previous job and isn't excited by this one...ho hum.. at least he will still see his old friends as it's the same office, and he can keep looking.

LBM here's my hand for Wednesday too... deep breaths!

We had a gorgeous windy walk on the beach yesterday then went to visit friends with 5 wk old baby... all lovely until she started telling us about how her boobs spurt out milk during sex dh and I didn't quite know what to say!

cupcakefairy · 08/11/2009 12:46

Oh and forgot to say Buddha you poor poor thing with those horrible pains! Feel free to moan all you like that sounds horrible

mermaidspurse · 08/11/2009 15:12

5 week old baby and having sex don't make me laugh!!!!!! 'don't you ever, ever come near me again'is more like it
Don't worry cupcake they only do that a little until your milk has settled in and sometimes doesn't happen at all and if it does you can just practice your aim.
sorry been sitting looking at numbers and columns too long.

Did they ask if you wanted to watch their birthing video too

Think we should have organised jools a survival suit and a thermos of chicken soup instead its bloody horrible weather here.

Sabs1981 · 08/11/2009 16:31

Hey ladies, room for one more in the spanking new shiny home?? Hope your all having a good sunday. Thought I'd catch up quickly while Saara's sleeping

cupcake can I also say congrats on your DH's job. I know how stressful it must have been . And what good timing! I wish I had some milk spurting out of me I have none As for the sex with a 5 week old, is that rare?! Lol

lbm heres a another hand to hold for wednesday. I'll be lurking to find out the news.

4ever and buddha sorry to hear you are in so much pain buddha Good luck for scan on Thursday. I have a 6 week check-up with the consultant at the hospital for a checkup following my c-section. Hopefully all will be ok so I can start driving again and doing normal things like vacuuming and picking up laundry!

barbie did you get the results of the glucose test today?

mls good to have you back on here. Hope you're well

blue how does it feel to be on maternity leave? How long have you taken off?

hoping Good luck for the future honey. Hope to maybe see you again on here in the future.

Jools happy birthday for tomorrow!

sabs waves to mermaid vjay mrskate neeko iggy curly anniecam gg mm. Hope I havent missed anyone out or missed any major news.

Well the wedding went well last week. Everyone went mad over Saara. She wore a lovely red dress, but I then realised that you couldnt see it in the photos (some up on FB) as she was covered in blankets the whole time!

DH fixed the cot, and then realised it wouldnt fit through one of the doorways leading to the bedroom, so he had to dismantle it and redo it all over again. The thing is I did tell him beforehand but he chose to ignore me. Men! However he has been great at waking up in the night and helping out as much as he can with Saara - apart from nappies which scare him! One thing at a time.

Mum and mil have been sending food and mum came over a little while ago to help with Saara, bless her. I'm planning to start cooking again this week too.

Phew this turned out to be a long post!

littlebellsmum · 08/11/2009 19:36

can't stop but sex when you have a 5 week old ( I did write with a 5 week old and had to delete as it looked too weird!)? Really? That is one brave lady and to have done it more than once so they noticed the milk - even more amazing!
Don't worry, Sabs - I never had milk spurting out either but as long as she's happy, everything is fine!

Sorry to hear about people in pain and that horrible test, barbie

good luck tomorrow, 4ever - I'm sure he's waiting to wave at you again.

Hello to everyone else - neeko come back, we miss you!

bluesatinsash · 08/11/2009 20:02

Cupcake I also had a big re: having sex when you have a 5-week old AND are breastfeeding - can I have some of her lusty hormones over here please!!! Like mermaid I'm more from the school of "don't even think about it dahhling" .

So Sunday catch up whilst DH is bathing DS...

mermaid - hope your got through your paperwork sans marmalade stains and including a break for a walk on the beach - any paper cuts accrued? What a lovely thing to do for Jool's too - have one of your biggest bestest gold stars.

Jools - hope you are having a whale of a time and enjoy your birthday lunch tomorrow xx

Sabs - lol at your DH not taking your advice - I have an image of you standing in the doorway looking at him just like this . Saara was beautiful in your fb photos - of course! I'm off now 'til 5th July 2010 - so @ 8 months. I work 3 days per week and will be going back to same so doesn't feel too soon or onerous to be leaving this lo but ask me again next July!! Hope all goes well at your GP check up. I was same as you - long labour followed by c-section and getting to 6 weeks was a milestone as you could drive etc.

4ever - Continued hand hold through all that cotton wool for tomorrow. Hope barbie's sore back story as calmed your fears a little bit. Hang in there girl .

Barbie - you poor thing with that awful boaky drink you had to take. REally hope you don't have to drink any more of it - eugh.

Buddha - on crutches!! REally hope you are finishing work soon so you can limit you having to walk around. Take comfort in the fact that SPD literally vanishes once LO is here (along with heartburn - yay!). Will you get a date for c-section if your placenta hasn't moved? We may overlap if my lo continues ot behave you never know....

LBM - big hand hold for Wed. You have gotten to this stage very calmly - the head full of sand route is a winner .

Right duty calls, so nice to not have to go to work tomorrow. DH has taken the day off and we're going to Glasgow to tackle the xmas shopping - cue me wandering around 'The White Company' sniffing all the candles

love to all xx

OP posts:
Neeko · 08/11/2009 21:10

Hi all.
Really sorry I've been AWOL. RL has taken over due to DH working such long hours and hitting a tiedness wall. Have been thinking of you all though.

FIrstly, Hoping if you're still lurking have a big hug from me. There's no easy decision in your situation but as the girls have said there will always be a place here for you. Take care xx

Cupcake I was too at your friends. I thought I did really well with 3 months after the birth of DD and even that was only with lots of wine! Hope you are starting to "feel" pregnant now. Any sign of a little bump yet? Oh and fab news on your DH.

4ever so sorry to hear you're feeling so bad. Hope it eases up soon and you mention it tomorrow. Good luck for then. I'll be thinking of you as usual.

LBM Wow! Scan on Wednesday. When you see that bean waving at you, you might have to admit it's truly happening! Here's my hand.

Buddha sorry to hear you're struggling too. Good luck with your scan on Thurs. My 20 week scan is on Thurs too so we're scan buddies

MLS I'm so of your Italy trip. Have loads of pizza and pasta for me. Yum!
It'll do you, DH and DD the world of good to get away.

Mermaid Tax returns? I'm impressed. Too mathematical for me! That was so nice of you for Jools birthday too.

Jools Happy birthday for tomorrow. Hope you have a fab day. My aunt is 50 tomorrow so a special birthday day. (She had her DD, my god-daughter at 43 BTW)

Barbie hope your glucose results came back ok. You're really having to fight your way through this pregnancy BTW it's freezing here! Brrrrrrr!!!!!

Blue so pleased Babyblue is behaving and so that you've finished work. Happy shopping tomorrow. We were at Silverburn today, but it was rubbish and all I bought was 4 pairs of maternity tights that probably won't fit.

Moon Glad to see you popped your head round the door. Hope you're doing ok.

Glad to hear that you're living n domesti bliss Sabs. Hope you get the all clear for hoovering this week

Big waves to Curly Iggy MrsKate TheelusiveGracie and others that I've missed. I'm exhausted now so off to bed. Monday again tomorrwo - urgh!

Night all xxx

barbie1 · 09/11/2009 04:06

whoops i never did get back to finish posting rl is suddenly starting to get a little busier here. Found out that we can def move to a bigger villa but it will be two weeks before the baby arrives We have nearly every weekend booked up until christmas with lovely things to do and then dh family arrive on the 22nd of dec and leave for home on the 9th jan...my 30th on the 11th and then dh goes on a week long sailing trip...and then move day! So in our spare time we are researching cots, villa's, outdoor lighting (for next weeks bbq) and breast pumps

Thankfully my test results came back all normal, but then i had a major wobble because i thought maybe i was diabetic but the results didnt show because i didnt actually keep most of it down! im fine now though and its another tick of the long pregnany list of things to get through!

sabs im loving your fb photos, thats one impressive clothes collection that little saara has! doh at your dh...men just an be told can they, serves him right i say!

lbm i cant believe your scan will be here this week {shock] By now you will have no free hands left but im getting the jcb digger ready to dig your head back out of the sand!

buddha poor poor you (and curly) They never tell you all the bad things in the pregnancy books do they, like how much the glucose test will make your projectile vomit and how your hips will hurt like made and you will walk like a penguin!...Hope you feel better soon

Im so at buddha blue and annie all on mat leave or due v soon....i cant wait, still slowly carving another scratch into the wall in the prison spa, marking off the days to go

jools happy birthday!!!!!! i hope your 40's brings you lots of luck, happiness and smiles.

4ever good luck for any test/ scans etc this week. I do hope the back pain eases up for you, i had it until about week 14...and now i have it on my right side.

mermaid clever you for doing tax returns...when i was self employed i used to hate doing them...lucky for me they never did check mine fully or else im sure i would of owed them a bit more money then i bothered to pay!

Damn it out of time again, gotta run.....much love to you all xxx

mermaidspurse · 09/11/2009 09:51

happy Birthday jools

Know its a hard date as well for other reasons so thinking of you lots.x

4ever Have a picture in my head of your dh wheeling you in to have your scan curled up on your sofa in a nice soft ball of cotton wall. Hope you are ok, had a nice weekend and you are as ok as possible today. When does your lovely scan lady come back from her holidays?

blue I felt very emotional to think of you on baby blue leave So lovely to hear after last year, its a great tonic for all. Have a fab time sniffing expensive sniffs.

neeko poor tired you, the elusive blooming bit must be looming soon for you. Hope dd is feeling more settled too.x

barbie I get everything in columns but usually not the right ones and always take my accountant a very large bottle of something nice to help ease the pain
Looking at your mapped out weeks made me realise that you don't have that long to go very glad the test came back ok btw.

sabs can't you have a word with consultant so he says no to you doing vacuming for a bit? Lovely to hear you are all settling into life with little sarra though, she is scrummyx

iggypiggy · 09/11/2009 10:41

Happy Birthday Jools

Hope you all ok. Not got much to tell you - am def not PG this month tho - am sure of it. And anyway - am not trying to be, am having a break until new year.

xx

cupcakefairy · 09/11/2009 11:33

Morning my lovelies..
Ha, I love all your shocked reactions at my friends.. they are the types who have always been very obsessed vocal about their sex life so it didn't surprise me!

Neeko good to see you grabbing a spare minute, hope you're ok- life sounds a little manic for you at the mo! Dh thinks I am showing a bit but I've told him that's just a food baby!

Hi iggy it's not over til it's over...but glad you are in the mentality of it being next year anyway, you can just enjoy a fuss-free Christmas. (And gear up for another exciting February )

Happy birthday Jools! Wishing you lots of loveliness.

4ever massive prayers going up to the Big Man upstairs for you- I've had stern words with Him in fact the last few weeks about you

Barbie great news about moving to a bigger place. We need to aswell as we're in a one-bed flat! Decided we'll do all that after Christmas though now we at least know where we'll be after Christmas

I'm actually starting to look forward to Christmas now- couldn't think about it before with too much else going on but tiny mini 'eep' about watching Love Actually & wrapping pressies with pretty ribbon & family & Mum's mince pies

Hope you're all surviving Monday morning!

MummyLovesSadie · 09/11/2009 13:07

Afternoon all, hope your weekends went with a bang - especially those of us ttc !

4ever thinking of you right now looking at the monitor with tears of joy in your eyes.

Cupcake Christmas is always extra nice when you have a little wiggly bean & a burgeoning bump too. I'm joining the bandwagon at sex 5 weeks after birth, no no no!

Barbie glad your results were normal. The rest of your pregnancy is bound to fly by as you are so busy.

Sabs I was lacking in the milk department too, it's frustrating but oh so common.

Neeko Hope you are managing to find time to put your feet up. Tell dh not to work so many silly hours!

Blue hope your shopping is going well & it's not too frantic with people pushing, shoving & jostling your bump. I think mine is going to be done online.

Waves to Iggy, Mermaid, Buddha, Annie, LBM, Curly, MrsKate, Gracie, Moon, Baking & last but not least a special birthday wave to Jools!

Gotta dash as have a couple of things to buy before hols on Wednesday.

anniebigpants · 09/11/2009 14:19

Hello ladies, im still around, will have plenty of time for posting as on maternity leave now, yeyy!

Babba is due 3 weeks tomorrow, where has the time gone?? Im virtually organised, just a few last minute bits to do, then i must get Crimbo presents in and wrapped.

I,ll be back later for a mammoth post, ive just got a few bits to do first.
Hope 4ever is okay, was hoping to have seen message from her by now....
