And ladyemma How are you feeling today? How are things? No more bleeding? How utterly frustrating... Fingers crossed that it was just a blip, implantation, freak bleed or something or other... xx

Hi everyone,

Firstly huge congrats to spirael lets just hope there are loads more soon.

I am really sorry to hear your news ladyemmalou let just hope this cycle is the one for you.

I haven't been buying any new clothes either or the ones I have been buying have some growing room, if you know what I mean!

On the subject of meds, I am in a very different situation but daily take meds that affect me, make me feel sick and tired etc so it so hard not to see pregnancy symptoms. I have been told I will struggle to conceive and then if I manage to then if I have an anaphylaxis while pregnant the chances are I will miscarry . Then there is the issues of the meds themself, thet could affect a baby but if I come off them then I will have an anphylaxis and likely to miscarry anyway!!

sorry seem to have gome off on a self pity moment! Just wanted to let you all know where I am!

Spirael · 13/09/2009 13:38

Thanks everyone!

I'm feeling completely normal, Claire. I don't feel any different at all! It's kinda weird. If it wasn't for the positive tests, I'd be sure nothing was happening.

Though entertainingly my DH has been complaining of feeling tired and threw up yesterday... So my theory is that he's having all the symptoms for me! Isn't he a star?

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 13:49

So sorry Ladyemmalou. Take care of yourself.

Funnily enough zippy the clothes I've bought recently have all got growing room in them! I bought two summer dresses in the early stages of TTC both with an empire line and I've just bought a winter dress, also with an empire line!

Being on meds while TTC certainly does bring up other worries and concerns - as if we haven't got enough to agonize over!! It's always good to hear what other posters stories are

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 13:52

X post with you Spirael. Lol at your DH being a star

Ladyemmalou83 · 13/09/2009 17:31

Bless Empire lines, they are all I buy. I love that they are 'in' at the moment.

Feeling more positive this afternoon, as best friend said to me, I know I can get pregnant, now just got to figure out how to stay pregnant. Am going to really push this month to come off cigarettes entirley. Both times Ive had BFP Ive stopped and started as soon as AF hits, so gonna really go for it. New patches in the meds cupboard ready for the morning, only had 2 smokes today, so it is literally the last hurdle to overcome. DH is going to have to make more effort to give up too (bad luck him).

The joys of meds. GP has sworn to me they have no effect on TTC but its really hard not to worry. So releived to hear Im not alone. I had someone asking me the other day whether I should be TTC whilst taking them because clearly I cant be stable if Im on them....how ingnorant I thought. Just because im on them doesnt make me a fruit, like Claire said, its just a chemical re-balancing thing. (What I really wanted to say to my apparant dear friend was - you silly pregnant cow - but thought was wise not to)(me and mouth get into trouble a little).

Right Im off to panto auditions (Cindarella), auditioning for the fairy godmother, so wish me luck and will catch up with you all later x

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 20:28

How thoughtless of your friend Ladyemmalou some people just don't realize what they are saying or implying sometimes

Pleased to read you are feeling more positive this afternoon and best of luck with kicking the habit.

How did the audition go? Have you performed very much before?

Ladyemmalou83 · 13/09/2009 22:48

Back from audition and I have the role of Dandini, yey one of the leads. Yeah Ive done about 30 shows now (how big headed do I sound), its my big hobby singing and dancing. Am starting work 2moro on directing a junior version of high school musical. My life consists of DH, work, Theatre and TTC.

I swear my friend is so thoughtless at times, 3 insults this month and she thinks its ok, silly cow.

Right off to bed with me, got to be up at 3am for work. Wooohoooo!!!

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 23:12

Well done on getting a lead role Ladyemmalou

It's interesting that you are into theatre, I'm a singer! DH and I are a duo, we play at functions/pubs/social clubs wherever the work is really, It's one of the sides to our business. We were out Friday night at a regular pub of ours, next week it's a golf club function, we enjoy the variety of venues - makes it more interesting!

Up at 3am we didn't get in until 3am on Friday night from our gig! (we are used to very late nights )

Ozziegirly · 14/09/2009 01:15

Wow, I go away for 3 days and come back to 2 BFPs! Congratulations spirael and pepperoni

No news from me, although I had a wonderful weekend in Melbourne, really relaxing and enjoyable.

Still in the 2WW at the moment - AF due on Sunday and I will test next monday if nothing by then.

Again, I don't feel pregnant at all, I feel exactly the same as every other month. And we did it at exactly the right time this month - grr.

claireinthecommunity · 14/09/2009 02:01

Hey Ozzie, really pleased you enjoyed your time in Melbourne.

Sometimes symptoms can be a red herring, don't give up hope just yet

Ozziegirly · 14/09/2009 05:53

Yes, that's true. I just feel like, surely I would feel something if there was a teeny tiny embryo inside me?

Mind you I still have a cold (it's 10 days now and counting) so I am kind of fixating on that and the simple desire to breathe through both nostrils.

CurlyCasper · 14/09/2009 06:36

Morning all, congrats to all the BFPers and keep smiling emmalou.

No news here - again! No period and I've stopped testing for a few days. Last day with my parents today (it's been a lovely weekend), so will be on here more from this evening.

zippys · 14/09/2009 08:01

Morning all,

Congratulations on the part ladyemmalou

Ozzie I am really impressed if you are not going to test until Monday, AF is due on Friday and I am fighting the urge to test already. I have deliberatly not bought any tests so I have to wait till later in the week! But I feel the same as you, I dont feel pregnant. But having said that I thought I felt pregnant before when I have got BFN's!

pepperonipizza · 14/09/2009 08:54

Congrats Spirael!!

Congrats on the part Lady, panto sounds like great fun!

pixiestix · 14/09/2009 09:13

Hi, Would it be ok if I joined this thread?
I'm TTC baby number 1, and am on my third cycle since starting. UCL 28 days, CD 15.

So just starting my two week wait but not feeling very hopeful this month - DH has been a bit down due to family stuff so I have been trying to be understanding when I really just want to chase him around the house, screaming "I'm ovulating! Come here!"

Very slim chances of a BFP this month I think, but I will be rooting for everyone else! x

kkas · 14/09/2009 09:26

Congrats to Spirael and peps well done guys!!! am so pleased for you.

lady sorry to hear about all the ups and downs the past few days. But am glad you are feeling better now. also nice to hear about your part in the panto. DH and I do am dram and I usually play the piano for all the pantos - not sure what we're doing this year yet, but it's not until the end of january so we have some time i suppose! DH is actually in a play week after next (which may put a damper on the BD with all the rehearsals, performances and cast parties!) but as some were saying earlier, you can't put your life on hold when TTC!

ozzie hope you get over your cold soon!

curly no AF is always a good sign. keep the faith girlie!

As for me, the spotting last week was definitely AF, so am at bottom of the list now. But already looking forward to the BD starting again this weekend. Am counting from the day I first had bleeding, so am actually on Day 5 today! And looks like first month off pill was a pretty regular 28 days. yay!

btw - wedding was lovely on saturday and DH's speech went really well. not nice to be back at work though.....
