Evening all, hope some of you are still awake over there?

It's stupidly early in the morning here in Oz, especially too early for me to be awake on a Saturday, but I am too excited to sleep......... very faint BFP!!

I am trying not to get too excited, as it is really quite faint, but it is definately there. Plan is to go get a clear blue digital and try tomorrow morning just to make sure (DP can see a line too but is being very sensible and telling me we shouldn't get too excited 'til we're 100% sure). So, I might need some support from you all over the next 48 hours, if that's okay?!

Welcome Zippys, sounding good!!

Good luck to all the other weekend testers, I still have my fingers crossed for you!!

Eeeeeeeeekkk!!!! Please please please!!!!

Ladyemmalou83 · 12/09/2009 00:18

WOW Pepperonipizza Let me be the first to say congratulations!!!!

I have a faint line to on yesterdays test, trying to hold ontill monday to test again. Its so hard to not get excited. Ive had butterfly since yesterday, trying to keep it real but not doing too well.

pepperonipizza · 12/09/2009 01:03

Lady, you sound remarkably calm!! HUGE congratulations too, it sounds very good for you but I understand exactly what you're saying. I really hope you get a nice clear positive on Monday (and by the way, that is fantastic willpower - did I read that your DH banned you from testing until Monday? My DP said the same, but I have managed to convince him we'll do another tomorrow morning ).

Which pg test did you use? I used first response. Also did a supermarket cheapie with the same wee - very, very faint line on that. Am worried I could be seeing things on that one, it is so faint! Anyway, will go buy the digital, no messing around that way!

CurlyCasper · 12/09/2009 07:06

Oh my god you two - congrats! Another negative for me today, so I'm a wee bit but for pep and emmalou

claireinthecommunity · 12/09/2009 09:33

pepper and Ladyemmalou!!! wow, congratulations to you both

A lot of us are away for the weekend so it may be fairly quiet on here. I'm working over the weekend (as usual) but am still able to pop on and check for developments,

I wish you both the very best for a stronger darker line tomorrow morning

Curly, here's hoping for a late BFP for you

zippys · 12/09/2009 09:53

Morning everyone

Huge congratulations to pepper and Ladyemmalou I will keep everything crossed for you.

It is so nice to hear people been successful.

Sorry to hear your news curly but as claire said it could just be a late one!

I had the funny pains again this morning so dont know what that means, does it mean it was not implantation and just weird pains!!

Well I have decided that I cant just put my life on hold till I get a BFP so re joined the gym this morning and getting my hair done this afternoon. At least if it takes a while to get a BFP then I wont be as overweight when I am pregnant and then wont put on as much (hopeful thinking!!)

Cant wait to hear all your updates, good luck

claireinthecommunity · 12/09/2009 10:53

zippy I too have decided that life can't just go on hold until that elusive BFP (I'd begun to get a little obsessed I think). So, I'm re starting a fitness class and I've bought myself some new autumn/winter clothes, I'd been avoiding anything new just in case I get PG and don't get the ware out of it!! - stupid really I'm already feeling more relaxed and less stressed by it all. We'll see what happens in my 2WW though...

One thing I have refrained from, so far at least, is that I haven't been writing in my diary every day to make notes on my CM and any little twinges I may be feeling then cross checking it with previous months. I think this has helped me to stay a little detached from the whole TTC business, apart from the obvious with DH of course

Ladyemmalou83 · 12/09/2009 11:24

Pep yep DH has banned me till monday. I used a tesco cheapie first and got nothing, then had a go on a Clearblue plus and got a faint line. Really struggling to convince myself it was real today, as read the side effects of the meds I take and they are similar to how Im feeling now (ie sick, achy), but im still trying to be hopeful. Think when I go into town later Im gonna head to boots and just check again. Have big dinner and dance to go to tonight, and want to know for certain that Im the designated driver.

Although DH has now rung and said due to staff sickness he now has to cover later exec flight, so looks like Im driving by myself. Thank you DH for not booking leave when I asked him 5 million times!

Ladyemmalou83 · 12/09/2009 14:50

Just caved and really wish I hadnt, it came back negative. DH is going to not be too impressed. Shall just have to sit and wait for AF and wonder what the hell that line was on the clearblue

claireinthecommunity · 12/09/2009 15:11

Ladyemmalou it could have come up negative because you didn't use your FMU (first morning urine), if you do another test tomorrow morning it may still be positive [hopeful emoticon]

Also, I've just read a post of yours where you mention the type of meds you are taking. I too am on similar meds, have been taking them for a year now and they have made a huge difference to my life. I hope you don't mind me bringing it up, I thought it might be reassuring to know there are others here in a similar position

Ladyemmalou83 · 12/09/2009 16:24

Thank you Claire, it has been worrying me alot. They (docs) have changed me from one type to another, in hope that side effects etc are minimul (sorry terrible spelling). I agree they are good, they are giving me the breathing space to be able to deal with my issues, which I am. CBT lady keeps reminding me Im making progress, even if sometimes I dont feel like it.

Sounds silly: I should be so happy, I have a wonderful DH, family, house, job and amazing friends, but sometimes Im just not right.

Still feeling sick and a little light headed at times, it comes in waves. I feel sick in my gils (if I had any)

And please Claire thank you for bringing it up, I now know im not alone, its really reassuring to know that. Thank you xx

claireinthecommunity · 12/09/2009 20:31

Ladyemmalou, it's not silly at all but I know what you mean. Some people just need the chemical re balancing that these type of meds give. I was so pleased to read your post, I wasn't sure if I'd poked my nose in or not!

I've been on various meds since my early twenties (am 33 now) without much success, after a break from meds of about five years and an extremely difficult year, I reluctantly made an appointment with my GP. I had been trying to cope without meds but it had become obvious to me that I needed to at least try them again as things really had become quite bad. I was prescribed citalopram (which I hadn't taken before) and after the initial side effects and one dose increase, I found that they really suited me and I now feel better than I think I ever have.

It was difficult for me to accept that I needed these meds just to be normal but I began to see it like any other illness that may require treatment. It also helps that I have an understanding and loving DH and a settled home life.

I wish you the best of health and a strong line in the morning!!

fulhamgirl · 12/09/2009 21:16

Thanks so much fulham what a lovely thing to say!!

You are right, it will happen for us all

I'm going to be checking in after midnight to see if pepper has any news from across the pond...

CJ2007 · 12/09/2009 23:27

I don't get on here often enough but feel I need to say the support that is offered and the genuine concern for others is quite moving. So pleased I found this thread.
My thoughts are with you and wishing every one lots of luck.
X

claireinthecommunity · 12/09/2009 23:44

I feel the same CJ. Coming on here and being able to be so open about myself and my life has really helped me

pepperonipizza · 12/09/2009 23:52

Oh Lady, I'm really sorry to hear that. I do think Claire is right though, more than likely it's just because it wasn't first morning urine and not strong enough to be detected. Or that the clearblue plus is more sensitive than the Tesco cheapie and the Boots one? I must make a difference at this early stage. Try again in the morning (or if you can manage the wait, Monday would be even better - I read that the HGC doubles every few days at the very start of pg). I more than understand about you not wanting to get excited, but don't get disheartened either! I'll be thinking of you.

Thanks for all the congrats everyone! I did another first response this morning and got a BFP with a much darker line. I'm over the moon . It's obviously very early days but I have decided to be as positive as possible, no point worrying for no reason (yeah right, like I'll be able to stop myself!!). Here's hoping.

CJ, that's such a lovely post. I thoroughly agree, this is such a nice thread! I'm a bit scared to move over to the antenatal club for May, it's HUGE and scary.

pepperonipizza · 12/09/2009 23:55

Oh, forgot to ask if there's any news Curly?

Ladyemmalou83 · 13/09/2009 00:02

Well half way through dinner dance tonight decided to pop to ladies, and shock horror im bleeding! 2 hours later, I've stopped bleeding. Wonder what Im going to wake up to?

I agree, i dont know what I would do without mumsnet sometimes. I always talk to DH when down, but its nice to come on here and know that Im with the girlies and can open and be understood on a different level than maybe what Dh is capeable of understanding. Thank you all for being so lovely.

Shall pop in in the morning to see if I can re-evaulate my situation, fingers crossed no more brown/red crap (Emma sits wondering whether she should google implantation bleeding)(Nope defo not going to google it)

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 00:06

So pleased to read that you have another BFP pepper

I can now log off and get myself off to bed Have a good day!!

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 00:10

X posts with you Ladyemmalou, not sure what to say, will check in in the morning to see how things are with you

Hope you were able to enjoy your night out even with all of this on your mind.

pepperonipizza · 13/09/2009 00:15

Lady, just wanted to say that I'm really sorry for you. I was geniunely thinking the next message from you would be all good, this is obviously just shit .

Spirael · 13/09/2009 08:07

Just popping in to ask whether I can be moved to the grads... Got a BFP this morning on a CBD.

Congrats to the other weekend BFPs, and best of luck to everyone! I hope everything turns out wonderfully for you all and doesn't take too much longer to do so.

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 09:24

Wow, fantastic news Spirael

Of course you can be added to the grads list, it's a page back so will need to post this then look for it. I had thought about updating it but was holding out for a couple of testers who are not sure if they are or not PG yet (I mean that in the nicest possible way!).

Still not sure whether to update or not, shall we wait a bit longer, say until midday or something?

I can imagine those who have definite lines would want to see themselves on the grads list (I know I would) just trying to be mindful of those who are not so sure.

claireinthecommunity · 13/09/2009 09:33

Also just had a thought, would peppers BFP date be classed as Friday or Saturday as she is in Oz?

Looks like It's going to be one of those indecisive days for me again

Congratulations again Spirael Supid question but how are you feeling?...
