Ok Ladies... new thread, since the old one was getting too long and dragging my computer (and Kat's) down with it!

MrsD - cant believe you are 30 weeks already! So you found that cutting out the lactose helps? It will be almost a week for me and I have noticed some improvement, but not a lot. Of course, he is still getting a milk-based formula supplement to the BFing. I am going to switch to a soy formula and see if it makes a difference as well. Until then... God give me strength!!! LOL

Quick message from me will catch up better later.

38+4 today no sign of DS as yet, like Kat in utter agony with SPD, have requested an induction this time after much deliberation as a) cannot face overdue SPD hell and b) previous very fast labours am worried about being here on my own with the other three.

Loopymumsy - I have the exact same fears as you, my last two were born at home the last one very quickly so I am actually worried about getting to hospital. I have these visions of delivering on the bathroom floor whilst the DDs are playing in the next room, DH also works about 45 mins away (on a good day) and we don't have family close by although have great friends. I really do not want an induction but it is for the best as I will be more managed and controlled IYSWIM plus I won't go overdue as well. Hope the scan goes well I don't allow myself to get excited or think about a baby until about 20 weeks when I feel them kicking about.

There will be NO number 5 here either, this pregnancy has been far too hard and I feel 4 is the number we must stop at. I don't have the emotionally or physical energy for another one. And four is a nice round number isn't it ladies

babyblue and scorps - love the photos on FB Lacey and Marco are getting so big already, does anyway else just want to slow time down sometimes?

Right best be off tribe are getting up now and I am on my own today and getting the 3 of them up and out whilst wobbling about is no mean feat

Meanbeansmum · 26/04/2010 10:08

SW, I feel your spd pain, it's beyond bad isn't it. How are you coping with your hips in bed at night? I hope you get that induction soon sweetie.xxx

Loopy, I was suprised my consultant checks started so soon too. I go because of previous pph, bmi over 30 (sigh), previous bp issues and for big babies. Consultant isn't worried she said she's sure I'll just pop this one out just fine too lol!. I come with all these worries but rarely have issues...ok the pph is a biggy but last time it was managed really well with a drip. How are you feeling?

KAt, not long babe!!!! HAng in there!

mrsdisorganised · 26/04/2010 21:32

Hello all!
Just popped by to give a quick update! (if you remember me...) Haven't managed to catch up with the thread but will read through eventually.
Since #5 was born it's been hectic but generally fine, he is a brilliant baby, very relaxed and happy, just 6 months now and I'm sad that he has got so big so quickly as I can't have anymore (just as well really!!!) the girls adore him and are all little 'mothers' which is hilarious.

Dh still working away all week every week so has been tough at times, but we've managed to get into a good routine. The extension is finished and the kitchen is fantastic, the two older girls will move into their new room next weekend and then we just have finishing and a back door to do!

Anyway will try and pop in again, Kat good luck when the time comes! Hi to Scorps, babyblue and all you other nutty mums of lots!! Keep the thread going ladies. x

babyblue4 · 29/04/2010 17:26

MrsD Hello!!! So glad you popped in for an update!! Glad to hear your little man is fitting in so well. I dont know how you manage so well with your DH away all week. i would lose the farm for sure!! Sounds like all your home renovations are also comin along nicely. We will be starting ours in the summer when DH begins working nights. Should be interesting to have a house full of trades when babies are trying to sleep!! Anyway... do make sure you post here more often!

Means How are you doing?? How far along now?

to everyone else!

Mrsd, 6 months already! Wow! The extension sounds great, must of been hard work.

BB, 19+1 weeks! Scan in 4 days!Eeeeeeeeek! Trying to stay calm, nervous and excited all at once.

Loopy the children are going to be so excited.

I'm struggling at breakfast time, I need to eat, I don't fancy anything....ok maybe hashbrowns dripping in vinegar! Lying in bed, on pc, just been sick, no food I fancy....blah!!!!!

Diege · 02/05/2010 14:10

Just been reading the larger families thread and saw a few familiar names over there (yes KAT I mean you ) so thought I'd pop by and say hello . Good luck KAT, not long now! Hi to BABYBLUE, MRSDIS and everyone else xx (oh and def ttc no.5 here now, no denying it any longer )

babyblue4 · 02/05/2010 14:19

Diege You are one brave soul!!! I have definitely hit the limits of my patience (and DHs) so 4 is where we will stop! Good luck, and hope you have a really smooth pregnancy.

Means - Hope you feel better. I used to look forward to my scans and being able to see my little bean. Its nerve-wracking at the same time though, isnt it? Make sure you post some pics!

Loopy - How did it go telling the world??? LOL

Marco is sick again with a cold. Sigh... its always something in this house. DD1 brought it home, and slowly its working its way through everyone. I am keeping fingers crossed that it skips me!

Diege · 03/05/2010 10:34

Thanks Babyblue. I think a pregnancy announcement may be a while off yet, and am thoroughly expecting it to be as horrendous as the last time, but am crazily hoping it happens sooner rather than later so that at least it's the time of year where I can 'work from home'...How is M doing? (I know what you mean about the 'limit' - think I have probably reached mine if I'm honest ) Still, I'll know for sure with 5

babyblue4 · 03/05/2010 16:49

Diege Marco is definitely keeping me on my toes! He turned 9 months just last week and is now starting to walk. He crawled early too (5 months) so he has been getting into everything! Between him and DD2 (now 2.7years), the 2 get into all kinds of mischief. We decided that 2 girls and 2 boys are the perfect family, so I finally managed to convince DH to get the snip (since we all know how well that went for me ).Jacob is coming up on his first birthday already! How exciting. I cant believe how fast that went. The pregnancies didn't seem to go too fast, but their first year seems to be flying. Are you planning a big party for him? My work has a clubhouse with a pool, splash pad, park and banquet facilities, so we will have Marco's party there. Casual BBQ/pool party is perfect for a summer birthday. None of my other DCs have summer birthdays so were are going to enjoy this!

Diege · 04/05/2010 09:40

Hi BABYBLUE! Wow Marco does sound like he's keeping you busy, what with walking already . Jacob is king of crawl (we must get stair gates sorted)and pulling himself up, but quite content with that so far I think! Agree, the year has flown by - there again, seems a long time since I was pregnant with him...Party-wise, keeping it small I think. Just family round, and maybe a trip to local farm I think your plans sound more fun though!

Diege · 04/05/2010 09:43

Oh and meant to add that's a lovely gap between your youngest 2. Think we would stop at 4 if a similar gap, but dd3 is 5 in Nov and while the plan was that no.4 would be her 'natural' partner in crime (the older 2 being 15mths apart and like twins) she seems to have gravitated to them, and ds very much seems in need of a playmate. That's the theory anyway - him being the only boy does set him aside a little too, though the dds very much include him as the 'prince' etc in their games

KatnKankles · 04/05/2010 19:31

Hi guys!

Still here, due a week tomorrow.. 8 days!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Feeling strangely calm and like it will happen when it's ready. I think the last couple of weeks are so exciting - although I'm v uncomfortable and desperate for her to arrive!

Diege - nice to see you back and ttc again

I mentioned to DH that maybe he should hold off getting the snip 'just in case' and he rolled his eyes and laughed at me. I think I'll get an implant as my SIL had one and said it was great. If I did have another it wouldn't be for a few years anyway, I don't 'do' small age gaps!

BB- Marco sounds great - saw the pics on FB and he's gorgeous!

Means - have you had the scan?? How did it go?

Sorry if I've missed anyone out... preggo brain. xxxx

Meanbeansmum · 05/05/2010 07:20

Kat....1 weeks...yay! Enjoy your last few days with a bump! Sending you some easy labour vibes.

Diege, have another, you know it makes sense lol. ;) ;) Your little man must love being the only boy.

BB, walking....he's so grown up and soooooo fast! You must be so busy.

Scan is today...I am excited.
I had a dream last night that I was shopping for a baby, I couldn't decide if I wanted a boy or a girl so I picked up one of each for the trolley and a cream changing mat...lol..crazy!

Meanbeansmum · 05/05/2010 19:36

My scan was lovely, everything seemed fine, I have one very wriggly little baby in there. BUT the cord was in the way so we don't know the sex!!!! Argh! I do have a rescan in 2 weeks to recheck the heart as she needed an extra view (saw 4 chambers and all looked well), so we might find out then (if I don't cave in and get a gender scan b4 lol). I feel reassured seeing a happy busy little baby. Oh and my baby has the cutest little baby feet..

KatnKankles · 05/05/2010 22:25

Awwwwwwww amazing!!!

Gutting that you didn't get to see the sex though... you have any inklings???

babyblue4 · 07/05/2010 14:57

Wonderful news Means!! I am sure now that you know that baby is doing well, the next 2 weeks before your next scan will go quickly. Why pay for something you are going to get anyway?? Spend the money on a massage!!!

Meanbeansmum · 07/05/2010 18:25

BB, I'm weak and caved, we had a gender scan last night lol! We are having a baby Girl!

Baby Sophia Rose.

We are so thrilled! Pics on fb, not telling family the gender or the name though. ;)

KatnKankles · 07/05/2010 21:13

Fantastic news!! Is that 2 of each??

Sophia was near the top of our list this time and with Lily, it's lovely.

I'm having an Ava Rose... she's been that for months, it's nice when the kids can refer to her by her name, they kind of feel like they know her already.

Really pleased for you.

Meanbeansmum · 07/05/2010 21:46

Gorgeous name Kat!! We are naming our little miss after hubby's great grandmother. We always fit one family name in for each of our children. But I'm running out of good names so no more babies lol! Yep 2 boys and 2 girls.

So how many days left? You must be feeling pretty desperate to get started now. Hope you get a nice quick easy labour very very soon.xx

How's everyone else doing?

babyblue4 · 08/05/2010 17:38

Congrats Means!!! Lovely name (My DD2 is Sofia Cristina). Nice for you to have 2 of each... I love it!!!

Kat - Ava is also a wonderful girly name. Very pretty.

With Sofia and with Marco they both had their names as soon as we found out their gender. The older 2 DCs really enjoyed calling the babies by name (and were very good about keeping the names secret). It even made the transition easier for Sofia when Marco was born, I think. Beacause we always talked about him, she wasn't as confused when he came home from hospital. She hasn't shown any negative feelings toward him either.
